The only boy I can't have

After an amazing weekend with my BOYFRIEND Luke, it still felt surreal saying that, I felt so content in the taxi home which I'm sure was going to cost a fortune.

I truly had no idea how Luke was going to pay for all this, the cabin, dinner, fancy car, taxi...
He didn't have a job and I knew he was on a hockey scholarship so how he paired for all of this was beyond me.

Despite me offering to help pay multiple times, he was having none of it so by the time we got in the taxi I have given up.

"Luke" I got up from his chest.

"Hmm"

"So obviously my friends know and stuff but I don't want yours to know. Not until we tell Jacob. It would be unfair on him. And I also am not ready to tell him yet." The words spilled out of my mouth.

Luke pulled me back into his chest. "I am okay with that - whatever makes you most comfortable, I'm more than happy to go at your pace"

My heart melted and I nuzzled into him.

He was perfect.

Lola opened the door and ran out pulling me into a rather panicked hug.

"So guys how was the hockey match you went to with Ollie and Mia - I'm so sad I couldn't come I was just not feeling it"

Me and Luke exchanged confused looks.

"Lola are you on drugs?" I laughed "we went to the cabin and -"

Jacob emerged from the house with a grin from ear to ear. His hair seemed blonder, his skin was tanner.

"Little sis! How was the hockey" Jacob asked pulling me into a bear hug.

I froze unable to reply but Lola pinched my arm.

"Oh yeah it was great - Mia loved it, Ollie not so much and I had no idea what was going on" I fake laughed hoping he would buy it.

He ruffled my hair before moving to Luke who had an emotionless expression on his face. The one I used to receive a lot before we you know became a thing?

They did that weird man clap thing before Jacob started thanking him. "Bro thanks for looking out for her - it means a lot because I know she would be safe with you" Luke shook his head in response, signalling that he didn't need to thank him.

"Let's go in for a drink?" Lola asked and when she got a chorus of yeses she grabbed my hand and yanked me upstairs. 

Slamming my bedroom door with a puff she fell to the ground. "Oh my god babe - why the fuck was your phone off?" I winced at her angry expression.

"Sorry it was on do not disturb - why the actual fuck is Jacob home?!" I silently screeched.

"He knocked on the door and I was still in my pyjamas, it was 12 o'clock to be fair to him, but nonetheless, and he was like oh I wanted to surprise you all - he worked out a deal with his boss so that he can do the course here for some fucking reason - and then Jacob goes oh where are Luke and Eleanor and I on the spot made up some bullshit lie about you, him, Mia and Ollie all going to a hockey game but I was to ill to go. Then I was panic phoning you hoping you weren't gonna get out the taxi mid make out or something and you didn't pick up!" She blew out a big breath.

"Lola you are actually a life saver thank you so much for doing that for me - fuck idk what to do" I groaned into my hands.

Lola gave me a squeeze.

"On a good note - I have a boyfriend" I told her looking at her through the gap in my fingers watching her face form into a smile.

She screamed so loud that Luke and Jacob came running up the stairs.
