AUTHOR'S POV
As Alaric sees his friend in such a condition, he runs toward Ian to support him, leaving Mia on the podium. Mia feels a surge of anger and thinks to herself, "These bastards, why are they not dead?"
Alaric reaches Ian and helps him sit down, shouting for a chair. A staff member quickly brings a chair, and Alaric helps Ian sit. He looks at Estella and then back at Ian, asking, "Ian, what happened to you? Why were you missing? I've been calling you."
Ian, struggling to speak, looks at Mia and then back at Alaric, locking eyes with him. "Don't marry Mia," Ian says with difficulty. "She's the one behind your grandmother's attack. She pushed Grandma from the balcony. She's the reason for all the misunderstandings between Estella and you."
Alaric feels as if he's been struck by a thunderbolt, shocked by Ian's words. He turns and looks at Mia with a mix of shock and hurt. He can't believe what he's hearing. Events flash through his mind like a movie.
Mia, sensing the tension after listening to Ian, thought, "No, no, I can't let this happen. I have to do something. I can't let Ian and Estella destroy my wedding." Determined, she resolved to take action and protect her special day from their interference.
Mia shouts, "Everything is a lie!" She steps forward and touches Alaric's face. "They're lying, Alaric. Do you really believe them? Do you think I could do such a thing to your grandmother?" She starts to cry, pretending to be devastated in front of everyone.
She turns to Ian and Estella, "Ian, Estella, how can you put such allegations on me? Do you really think I could stoop so low to hurt Alaric and his family? You know I'm an orphan. They took care of me after my parents died." She cries harder, trying to gain sympathy.
Ian feels a surge of anger at Mia's acting. "You're lying! You know I'm telling the truth. Don't pretend. Tell me it's not true that you tried to kill me, Estella, Charlotte, and Ember in that old house by setting it on fire. And that you didn't cause the fire accident in my company to threaten me."
Mia shouts back, "What are you saying, Ian? No, I didn't do any such thing!" She pretends to have a panic attack. Alaric's mother rushes to hold her and comfort her. Alaric feels deeply troubled by everything he's hearing.
Seeing Mia in this state, Alaric's parents support her. Alaric's father shouts at Ian, "I don't understand what's wrong with you, Ian. How can you put such allegations on Mia? She's innocent. She couldn't do such a thing to my mother. Why would she hurt her?"
He looks at Estella and yells, "This is all this girl's doing. She's poisoning your mind because she knows Alaric won't believe her words. I know Mia can't do such a thing."
Mia continues crying in Alaric's mother's arms, who is comforting her. Alaric's father shouts for security and orders them to throw Estella out. Suddenly, they all hear a familiar voice, "Don't touch that girl."
Everyone turns toward the voice, shocked. Alaric whispers with a mix of emotions, "Grandmother." The voice belongs to Alaric's grandmother, who enters in a wheelchair, pushed by Albert.
The room falls silent as everyone processes the unexpected appearance of Alaric's grandmother. Her presence seems to shift the atmosphere entirely. Despite her frail condition, Alaric's grandmother exudes a sense of strength and authority.
Alaric runs toward her and kneels, hugging her tightly. He starts crying, seeing his grandmother awake from her coma. With tears in his eyes, he says, "Grandmother, you're awake. I can't believe you're finally with me."
