Alaric lay in his hospital bed, thinking about everything Ian had said to him. Ian was right, and deep down, Alaric knew it. He felt guilty and a bit embarrassed about what he had done. He had caused an accident just to stop Estella from going on a date with Dr. Vincent, and he felt bad for making her worried and scared.
Alaric thought a lot about how he had let his possessive feelings take over. He remembered the look on Estella's face when she saw him hurt. Her eyes had been full of tears, and she had looked so scared. Alaric didn't want to make her feel that way ever again. He loved seeing Estella happy and smiling, not worried and sad.
Ian's words replayed in his mind: "Hurting yourself like this won't change anything. If you want Estella to understand how you feel, you need to be honest with her... not do something that risks your life."
He decided to try his best to control his anger and not let his jealousy take over anymore. He knew he had made a big mistake, and he promised himself he would do better in the future.
Alaric stayed in the hospital for only one week before he was well enough to go home. Estella came to check on him every day. Today was the day of Estella and Dr. Vincent's date. Estella was getting ready for her date with Dr. Vincent, Charlotte was also helping her . She felt a bit nervous but also excited.
When Dr. Vincent arrived at Estella's house, he was wearing a nice suit and greeted her with a warm smile.
Vincent smiled as he greeted her. "You look lovely, Estella," he said warmly.
Estella blushed a little and thanked him. Vincent then opened the car door for her, and they drove off to a fancy French restaurant.
