I sat with my parents in a fancy restaurant in New York City. We were having dinner because my parents were in town for a charity ball event happening tomorrow.

They wanted to spend some time with me and Mia, but Mia wasn't here

They wanted to spend some time with me and Mia, but Mia wasn't here. She wouldn't come near me after the morning incident at our house.

During dinner, my dad asked me about the project I was working on with Ian. I told him it was going well and that we were close to implementing it.

I also mentioned my grandma's upcoming surgery, but Dad didn't seem interested. He thought I should focus more on my business than on Grandma because she's old and her health isn't as important.

As dinner was winding down, I felt it was the right time to talk about Mia's situation. But just then, Mom asked why I had shouted at Mia earlier. I explained that she had barged into my home office during an important meeting. Dad thought I should pay more attention to Mia, but I tried to tell them about her anger issues and the need for medical help.

But they didn't listen to me. They said Mia was just a girl and that I should take her on dates, buy her expensive gifts, and marry her soon. I felt neglected because they didn't understand how dangerous Mia's anger could be and that she needed help.

For my parents, money seemed to be everything. They didn't want to upset Mia because she had a lot of shares in their company. If they sent her for treatment, she might take her shares away, and they didn't want that to happen.

After dinner, my parents went back to their hotel, and I returned to my penthouse feeling frustrated and alone.

I think about how when I was a kid, my parents were always busy making money. They didn't have time for important events in my life like my birthday, graduation, or my football games. Instead, they would just call me and send me fancy gifts.

But my grandma was always there for me. She showed me love and support. There was also someone else who was always by my side—Estella. She never missed any occasion and always supported me.

But something changed in Estella. She became a different person. I still miss the old Estella, and our beautiful memories but I don't understand why she changed. I also blame her for my grandma's condition. She's not doing well because of Estella. Even in my thoughts, I can't forgive her.

Now, I'm in my penthouse, feeling stressed. I make myself a drink to relax and think about how to help Mia. She needs medical help, or things could get worse for her. I have to convince her to get help.

NEXT MORNING

I was on the phone with Dr. Collins, telling him about my grandma's surgery plans with Dr. Vincent. I asked Dr. Collins to send all the important papers through email. We needed to start the process of moving my grandma from Paris to New York for the surgery. Because she's in a coma, airlifting her by plane is the safest way to move her.

I explained to Dr. Collins that my secretary would handle all the arrangements in Paris since I would be busy organizing things at the hospital in New York. Dr. Collins agreed with my plan. Tomorrow, my grandma would be flown from Paris to New York.

After I hung up the phone, I couldn't stop thinking about how soon my grandma would have her surgery. I hoped with all my heart that she would wake up from her coma afterward.

ESTELLA'S POV

I was sitting in a room with some of my medical colleagues, waiting for Dr. Vincent to arrive. Suddenly, he entered the room, and we all greeted him. He nodded back and started to explain something important. He told us that we had received permission from Mrs. Isabella Easterwood's guardian for her surgery.

Mrs. Easterwood was going to be moved from Paris to our hospital in New York. Dr. Vincent stressed that this surgery was very important, so we needed to be well-prepared.

We all listened carefully as Dr. Vincent talked about the upcoming surgery. He explained that Mrs. Easterwood's condition was serious, and the surgery was crucial for her health. As medical professionals, it was our responsibility to make sure everything was ready for her operation.

After Dr. Vincent finished speaking, we discussed the details of the surgery among ourselves. We talked about the equipment we would need, the procedures we would follow, and how we could ensure the best possible outcome for Mrs. Easterwood.
