AUTHOR'S POV
Alaric looked at Ian with worried eyes. "We have to find Estella as soon as possible. We don't know what Vincent can do to her!" he said urgently. Ian nodded and whispered, "I can't believe it. Vincent is the mastermind behind all of this."
Alaric clenched his fists, anger burning inside him. "That bastard! Let me get my hands on him, and I'll make him pay," he growled. Turning to the police officer, Alaric pleaded, "We have to find Vincent right away. Estella's life is in danger."
The police officer nodded and quickly gave orders to his team. "Keep an eye on Robert and Paul," he told some officers, "and the rest of you, start searching for Miss Estella!"
Alaric, Ian, Javier, and the police began searching the forest, calling out Estella's name. "Estella! Estella! Where are you?" they shouted. Meanwhile, Estella sat shivering in the cold, dark forest. She was scared and weak, but she decided she had to escape. Gathering all her courage, she stood up and began moving through the trees, hoping to find a way out.
Suddenly, she heard clapping. Turning around, her heart sank. It was Vincent. He had found her.
"Well, well, well," Vincent said, his voice dripping with mockery. "The brave little Estella trying to escape? How cute."
"Hello, darling," Vincent said with an evil grin. Estella took a step back, her hands trembling. Before she could react, Vincent raised a gun and fired. The bullet whizzed past her, narrowly missing her shoulder. Without thinking, she turned and ran, her adrenaline pushing her forward.
Estella's lungs burned as she ran. She didn't know where she was going, but she had to keep moving. Suddenly, she broke through the dense foliage and found herself standing at the edge of a cliff. Below her, the sea roared against jagged rocks. She turned, and there was Vincent, blocking her only escape route.
"End of the line, darling," Vincent sneered, his gun pointed directly at her.
"Finally, you're in my hands," Vincent sneered with a cold smile. "You just couldn't stay out of it, could you? Everything was going perfectly until you decided to interfere. You've ruined everything! I tried to be nice, Estella. I gave you a chance to hand over the evidence peacefully, but you defied me. Now, face the consequences. Say goodbye to your life—this is the end for you."
Estella felt fear gripping her, but she stood tall and spoke bravely. "You might kill me, but you won't get away with this. My friends have the evidence. Soon, everyone will know what you've done. You'll be in jail!"
Vincent's face twisted with anger. "Enough! You're bold for someone about to die" he shouted, raising his gun to shoot. Estella closed her eyes, a small smile on her lips as she accepted her fate.
Just then, a voice boomed, "Estella!" It was Alaric. He had found her.
Estella's eyes flew open as she saw him emerge from the trees, followed by Ian and the police officers.
Vincent turned, shocked to see Alaric, Ian, and the police. He grabbed Estella, holding her tightly and pointing the gun at her head.
"Stay back, or I'll shoot her!" Vincent threatened.
