Chapter 18

~ELEANOR’S POV~

“Who’s the girl?” Ryan asked Jamie.

Jamie sighed. “Nick..”

“Ooooo! Nicola! The one who lives in 14B?” asked Ryan.

“Yeah,” Jamie said softly, smiling like a fool.

“I wanna meet her!” I laughed.

“No!” he blushed.

“Why not?!”

“Ok Jamie, how ‘about this? Let’s ALL OF US go out to dinner tonight, the it won’t be too awkward. Pweaseeee?” Ryan pleaded.

“Fine. Just don’t embarrass me!”

With that he walked out of the kitchen and to his room.

Ryan looked at me then, he looked too thrilled for waking up 10 minutes ago.

“What’s up with you?” I smirked.

“Oh, nothing,” he winked. I raised my eyebrows, confused. He shrugged his shoulders and leaned over the table to quickly peck my lips, and then rush off to his room.

“You look happy,” Molly chirped suddenly.

“Yeah,” I sighed. I really was, all that doubt seemed stupid now. I felt new, more outgoing and fun now. No more worrying. I just wanted to rock out and do crazy shit. I wanted to party! I was free, I wanted to celebrate life!

I let out a little scream, making Molly jump. I covered my mouth, laughing.

“What’s up?”

“I’M A NEW WOMAN MOLLY!” I yelled and the dashed across the hall to get ready for the night.

We had a big conversation going. We were at some random restaurant, drinks and food filled the table. Ian was balancing a spoon on his nose and we all laughed when it fell and landed in his glass. Nick was a really nice girl, kinda shy, but she opened up fast. She had wavy light brown hair and fashionable glasses. She seemed really into Jamie, I could tell they were both really happy.

“Ok! Favorite super hero? GO!” Nash prompted.

Ian said Superman, Jamie and Nick both said Batman, Nash also said Batman, making a mask with his hands. My hand rested on Ryan’s thigh. He took a sip of his drink and then the hand that held the cold glass landed on my bare thigh. I jumped, but no one noticed but Ryan. He hand started to slip over the fabric of my short dress, further and further towards my waist. I didn’t make eye contact, I tried to hold back laughter. I got goosebumps from his soft touch.

He smiled, knowing his effect on me. A single finger trailed up my bare arm, making me whimper. He chuckled and I punched his shoulder.

“Ouch!” he grinned.

“Stop being such a tease!” I whispered. He raised his eyebrows smirking. The rest of dinner, his fingers danced on my thigh, making it hard to concentrate.

My phone started ringing, interrupting Ian’s story. I looked at the screen.

“Sorry, I’ll be right back!” I said sliding out of the booth and scurrying outside. I pressed the answer button.

“Mom?!”

“Hi sweetie! How’s Nashville? I miss you!”

“Um it’s great!” I replied. I almost forgot about my mom these past few days. Hearing her voice made me smile, I missed her.

“I’m sorry I didn’t call you sooner. Your father and I have been so busy in Mexico!”

“No it’s fine! I’ve been busy too..”

“Ok hun, I gotta go! We have scuba lessons in five minutes! BE SAFE!”

“Okay mom! Love you, bye!” I hung up and walked towards the entrance to the restaurant again. I walked in but Ryan was out of his seat walking towards me.

“What are you doing?” I questioned.

“We’re leaving early,” he breathed down my neck, turning me around and leading me back outside.

“Um, why?”

“I wanna walk with you on this fine night.”

His hand held onto mine and we walked down the sidewalk close. The stars shined, the streets were alive at this time of night.

“Oooo! Can we go in there?!” I asked pointing into a dance club.

“Really?”

I wanted to show him the fun new me. “Yes!” I grasped both his hands and led him into the club…
