-ELEANOR’S POV-
Someone was shaking my shoulder softly. I could tell it was morning even with my still closed eyelids. I barely slept at all last night, too many nervous butterflies. But why?
“Elle, wake up! You’re getting married today!” Molly giggled.
Oh, that’s why. The butterflies instantly made themselves known again. It’s not that I was regretting this decision; to marry Ryan. Just the thought of being in front of so many people… what if I trip? What if I need to pee?! I mean… this is a big moment in a girl’s life!
I groaned and pulled the covers over my head.
The boys got home from their tour two days ago, the three months of rarely seeing them wasn’t fun. Us girls occasionally flew to see a show if we could get the time off from work or school.
Oh, I finished my summer schooling, I think my parents would be proud….
We haven’t spoken since that night I ran away with Ryan. Of course I wanted them here on this day, I sent them an invitation but never received any sort of reply.
Anyways, as I said the boys got home two days ago, but everyone made sure Ryan and I didn’t see each other. They told us we’d have to wait until he’s at that alter and I’m at the end of the aisle in white. That made me even more nervous! Ryan was always the one that could calm me down and make me feel like everything’s okay.
“Eleanor! Get up or I’ll cut your hair!”
“You wouldn’t,” I said.
“I know… but still! The boys are just down the hall!”
“They’re here?!” The thought of Ryan just being a few rooms down in this hotel made me feel a little better. I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes, taking a deep breath.
“I can do this,” I told myself out loud.
“Yes you can, now let’s get you ready,” Molly smiled.

I looked at my reflection in the floor to ceiling mirror. This was happening, this was it. Look at me… I’m a bride. My dress was lacey and brilliant. My hair; braided updo with small flowers, just like I dreamed.
“Look at you.” I turned to the open door to find Ian smirking. I blushed and looked to the floor. Ian would be walking me down the aisle… he was dressed in the dark grey tux all the guys were in. His long hair was lush like always.
I nodded my head a little and looked back up at him.
“I-I just wish… my father were here. Then it would be perfect,” I smiled and let out a laugh; the result of trying to hold back tears. He nodded knowingly, still smirking.
“Eleanor…” a different voice said behind me. I quickly turned to see them. Little tears fell as they hugged me. Their touch calmed me and their warmth relaxed me.
“Don’t ruin your make-up dear,” she laughed, wiping my cheek with her thumb.
“Surprise!” he laughed with her.
“I can’t believe you’re here!” I smiled, pulling them into a hug again.
“We wouldn’t miss it for the world,” she said.
I sighed, “Now everything is perfect.” My parents gazed at me. My mom pulled out the bobby pin with the blue flower on the end. She showed it to me when I was little, saying it would be my ‘something blue’. It was my grandmother’s, put it was still in pristine condition. My dad slid it into place next to all the other petite flowers in my deep brown locks.

We’re walking. My arm around my daddy’s arm. We’re walking and then we stop when the white french door are in front of us.
“Ready?” he asks. All I can do is give a single nod. They open to this.
So many people. Breathe Elle, breathe. Okay, there’s Molly and Nick, looking beautiful in their white dress with a bit of blue, smiling. Then there’s Jamie, Ian, and Nash who’s making a silly face at me. I can’t contain the little giggle that escapes.
And then there is him. The man I first met in the hallway, when he ‘needed sugar’. The man who made me laugh and smile, held me close when I was scared, and wiped my tears when I cried. We’ve been through so much together, but it feels like it’s gone so fast. How could a girl meet a guy and fall in love this fast? How could the girl who trusted nearly no one, fall in love with him? How could this rock star be tearing up as he saw me? Like a movie, our times together flashed through my mind as I got closer and closer to him. I just wanted to run to him, we were going so slow, it felt like forever until I was right in front of him. He took my waiting hand from my dad’s and I was home.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered.
His strong hand now held my small fragile one. And we looked into each other’s eyes, but it didn’t feel like all the other times we’ve done that. I don’t even think there are words to describe it. Maybe when you do find your soulmate; that one other person you are made for, you feel this when you look into their eyes. You just know. You know that they love you with their whole being. That they can’t bear the thought of losing you. And it’s all surreal because you feel the same way towards them.
And then you marry them. He says “I do” and then I say “I do”. Then that kiss that seals the deal is unlike any other kiss. It’s more than your first kiss and even more than any make-out session between the two of you. We’re married. I’ve only felt this level of happiness a few times in my life. Like when I woke up in the hospital, alive, and saw Ryan there too. Or when he got down on one knee at the lake under the moonlight.
And now I felt it again as Ryan picked me up and carried me bridal style back down the aisle as everyone clapped and cheered and wiped their tears and laughed with us. My parents are smiling right next to his parents.
He sets me back down right before we go through the doors and says, “I love you Mrs. Follese, forever.” I get goosebumps from where his hand cups my cheek and then he kisses me for the second time, being Mr and Mrs Follese.
