“What’s going on?” I laughed. The song ended and everyone cheered and started chanting, “Hot Chelle Rae! Hot Chelle Rae!” I recognized the boys on stage, all in position to perform.

“We’re only going to do one song,” Ryan said into the mic. The crowd seemed disappointed, I guess they we’re popular here.

“It’s a new one and it’s really special, so hope you like it! This one’s for you,” and then he winked at me, making the butterflies go wild in my stomach.

Jamie started the beat, and then Ian and Nash started playing. Then Ryan sang.

See I can’t wake up, I'm living a nightmare

That keeps playing over again

Locked in a room, so hung up on you

And you're cool with just being friends

Left on the sidelines, stuck at a red light

Waiting for my time, and I can't see

Why don't you love me, touch me

 Tell me I'm your everything

 The air you breathe, and

Why don't you love me, baby

Open up your heart tonight

Cause I could be all that you need

(Ohhh)

Why don't you love me?

Why don't you love me?

See I'm just too scared, to tell you the truth

Cause my heart it can't take any more

broken and bruised, longing for you

and I don't know what I'm waiting for you

Left on the sidelines, stuck at a red light

Waiting for my time, so just tell me

Why don't you love me, touch me

Tell me I'm your everything

the air you breathe, and

Why don't you love me, baby

open up your heart tonight

cause I could be all that you need

(Ohhh)

Why don't you give me a reason (give me a reason)

Please tell me the truth (please tell me the truth)

you know that I'll keep believing ( I'll keep believing) until I'm with you

Tears welled up in my eyes, my smile seemed permanent. Ryan’s eyes were closed, getting into the song. The lyrics soothed me, they made sense, and they meant something.

Ryan hopped off the stage, the crowd separated making a path until Ryan was right in front of me, grinning ear to ear. He took my hand and placed it on his chest. His heartbeat was in sync with the beat, I stepped closer into his arms. He looked into my eyes, into my soul, and sang;

Why don't you love me, kiss me

I can feel your heart tonight

it's killing me

So why don't you love me, touch me

Tell me I'm your everythingthe air you breathe, and

Why don't you love me, baby

open up your heart tonight cause I could be all that you need(Ohhh)

Why don't you love me?

Why don't you love me?

Why don't you love me?

Why don't you love me?

Why don't you love me?

He started to back up, but he didn’t let go of my hand till both our arms were outstretched to the max, his fingertips lingered. Then he leaped back on stage and finished the melody.

The song ended, the crowd erupted in cheers and smiled at me. I blushed; I wasn’t fond of being the center of attention. Molly and Nick gave me a hug, I assumed they knew about this. Ryan stepped down again and I ran as fast as my feet could take me, and leaped into his open arms, wrapping my legs around his torso.

“I love you Ryan Follese,” I whispered.

“I love you back, forever babe,” he chuckled. He kissed me then, the most passionate kiss I’ve ever experienced. His lips tasted like mint, his tongue was hot mine. Again, it was like the party was just us two, perfectly content in each other’s arms.

The crowd awed in unison, but then Nash and Molly violently pulled us to the side and Molly’s rushed whispers were barely audible.

“I think I saw Nathan, but I’m not sure. We had our fun right? I think we should leave, just so no one gets hurt or anything.”

“Okay,” I automatically responded, I should have seen this coming.

Suddenly a familiar voice shouted, “HEY!” and my heart almost stopped, my breath seemed to run away like I wanted to at that moment.
