I look over at Ryan smiling, his face is illuminated by the sunset. It’s been two weeks since the big incident, my arm is still bandaged and Ryan’s arm is still in a cast. But overall we look better, the bruises are lighter, cuts are healing.

Now we’re on a tall hill at the nearby park, overlooking the city skyline.

I laugh, “I don’t think we’re in any shape to run away! Plus school starts soon!”

His eyebrows bend down. “I want to take you away and have you all to myself,” he smirks.

“How about after college, just a year or two,” I argue.

“Promise?” he asks. I kiss him softly, “Promise.”

We get home and ride the elevator to our top floor. We’re talking, just small talk about sports or something when I open my door to see a person other than Molly.

“AUNT SALLY?!”

“Surprise dear!” she winks, pulling me into a hug.

“Oh my goodness look at you two! Molly told me about the bike riding accident, I’m so glad you are both okay!” I mouth the words “thank you” to Molly for covering, I didn’t want to deal with the explaining to my aunt.

“Um yeah… it was pretty scary but we’re tough,” I mumble still confused as to why she was suddenly back in the states.

“Oh and I knew Ryan would win you over, he’s such a sweet boy, I’m so happy for you two,” she beamed. I had never seen her this bubbly, something was up.

“Aunt Sally, can I ask you something?”

“Sure dear!”

“What the hell is going on?!” she isn’t taken back a bit by my question, she just continues grinning like a fool while arranging the flowers on the table.

“Well, I’m sure you’re all wondering why I’m back so early!” We all nod in agreement, Ryan has just been standing there smiling the while time like an idiot.

She paused, her cheeks getting red, “I’M GETTING MARRIED!” she wails.

“What?!” I scream, running to hug her. I lean back and she tells us the story.

“Well, his name is Bill and he works at my company apparently, he helped me set up my boutique there in London! And we just got to know each other and oh, he is so handsome and charming with that accent, oh! It’s so spontaneous I know, but you are all invited!”

“Awww, I’m so happy for you! When’s the wedding?” I ask.

“In two days!”

My jaw drops, “Thanks for the notice! Where is it?”

“In London of course!!”

“How are we all going to get there in two days?!” Ryan says.

“A plane of course, it’s all paid for! Oh, we’re going to have so much fun! Ryan go tell the boys, tell them to start packing, we leave in three hours!”

Me, Molly, and Ryan stood there for a second, processing all this.

“We’re going to London!!” Ryan screams. My aunt laughs and pushes him out the door to tell the boys. I couldn’t stop smiling, I was so excited for this adventure! I hugged my aunt once more and us 3 girls gushed about the wedding as we packed…
