-ELEANOR’S POV-
“She’s awake!” I heard Jamie say.
“Eleanor?” Ian asked.
When I opened my eyes everything was blurry. My body ached everywhere; a steady beeping noise was to my right, a group of people stood around me.
Faces came into focus; Jamie, Ian, Nash, Molly, and Nick. Jamie’s eyes were puffy, all their expressions displayed worry and anxiety.
“What’s going on?” I whispered.
“You were in a car accident, a person saw and called 911, but there was no one in the car the rear-ended you…”
I sat dazed, remember little details… “The party?” I recalled.
“They’ve been notified of the situation,” Ian said.
They stared at me, like they were waiting for me to explode or something.
And then suddenly everything made sense, my heart literally skipped a beat as heard on the monitor…
“Where’s Ryan?” I asked.
They all exchanged glances… as if they were scared to tell me.
“Where’s Ryan,” I repeated.
Molly sighed, “We don’t know.”
“What do you mean?” My body got hot with worry.
“He wasn’t at the accident scene El…”
“But I saw him!! Someone pulled him out, I saw him!!!” I argued.
“What happened to him?!” I sobbed.
“No one knows, the police are searching everywhere,” said Nick putting her hand on my shoulder.
“No! He was there!” I felt like the world was ending, I didn’t know what to do now, so I got up, thinking I could find him.
“Ellie! Stop!” Molly tried to get me back to my stiff cot but I eased out of her grip and ran out into the rain. Nurses rushed after me, but the cool water felt nice on my face. The drops mixed with my salty tears as my world fell apart.
