Chapter 22

~ELEANOR’S POV~

I didn’t really want to get up the next day. Why couldn’t I just lay next to Ryan forever? It had to happen; I had to clean up my aunt’s condo. I had to go back there again. Nathan is here in Nashville.

I stared at the ceiling for I don’t know how long, just thinking, like I always did, too much probably. Ryan stirred in his sleep once or twice, re-positioning. He looked so cute when he slept, like a little kid, perfectly content with life. His face was smooth and calm. His breathing was even. We were so opposite! Here’s me; worrying all the time and then there’s him in heaven just because I’m here?

He’s mental.

“Good morning,” he suddenly said, his morning voice making me melt.

I rolled over onto my side and smiled, “More like Good Afternoon,” I said glancing at the clock that read 12:35.

“Whoa! How did that happen? How long have you been up?”

“A couple hours,” I responded.

“I’m sorry I kept you waiting,” he grinned. I giggled, nudging his arm. I wanted to stay in his arms, in this bed, forever.

I addressed the obvious problem we possessed.

“We have to clean it up.” He smirked.

“What?” I asked. He got out of bed and walked towards the door, shirtless still, only wearing grey sweatpants. He opened the door and proceeded to walk down the hall, in which I followed. We walked across the hall and he opened my door as I braced myself to relive all the damage again.

I opened my eyes to see my apartment, cleaner that it was before this event.

“What the-,” but I couldn’t finish. Even the wood floors looked polished and shiny again, new curtains were hung, and the windows gleamed and showed another beautiful day outside. All the furniture was back in place, and not a shard of glass was to be seen.

“The maids were very busy this morning, Ian called them in early,” Ryan beamed. I ran and gave him a big bear hug, overjoyed.

“Hey girl!” Molly said coming down the hall from her room. She gave me a hug and then pulled away, hands still on my shoulders. She looked me straight in the eye.

“Nathan is not going to control your life, we are going out tonight, I don’t care what you say! There’s a beach party at the lake a couple minutes away! Fireworks, bonfires, food, dancing! YOU are going to have FUN!” she smiled, giggling. Before I could object, Ryan pecked my lips and Molly whisked me away to my closet to get ready for the unexpected evening.
