ship: katsuki bakugo + eijiro kirishima.

The dining room of the Kirishima household was impeccably set, every detail meticulously arranged by Eijiro's mother. Eijiro Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugo sat next to one another at the long, polished table, their parents seated at either end. The scent of home-cooked food filled the air, a comforting aroma that contrasted with the underlying tension of the evening.

Eijiro's parents had always been slightly strict, emphasizing discipline and respect, traits they instilled in their son from a young age. Tonight's dinner was meant to be a bonding experience, a chance for the Kirishima family to get to know their future son-in-law better. Eijiro's father was already halfway through a story about his own days in hero training, while his mother listened attentively.

As the conversation continued, Bakugo subtly moved his hand beneath the table, resting it on Eijiro's thigh. Eijiro stiffened, shooting a small glare at Bakugo. "What do you think you're doing?" he whispered harshly.

Bakugo smirked, his hand giving a gentle squeeze. "Relax, they won't notice," he murmured back, his tone laced with amusement.

Eijiro's parents didn't seem to catch the exchange, engrossed in their conversation. Eijiro fought to keep his composure, his cheeks tinged with a faint blush. Despite the playful irritation, he couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth at Bakugo's touch.

"Bakugo," Eijiro's mother addressed him, drawing his attention away from the mischief under the table. "How did you propose to our son? Eijiro told us it was quite the story."

Bakugo straightened, his smirk softening into a genuine smile. "Well, Mrs. Kirishima, I knew it had to be something memorable. So, I took him to the place where we first sparred as first-years at U.A. High. It was a place that meant a lot to both of us."

Eijiro's father nodded appreciatively. "A place of significance. That's quite thoughtful of you."

Eijiro felt Bakugo's hand retreat, and he let out a subtle sigh of relief, grateful for the shift in focus. "Yeah, it was perfect," Eijiro added, his eyes meeting Bakugo's. "Katsuki knows me better than anyone."

Mrs. Kirishima's stern expression softened ever so slightly. "It's clear you both care deeply for each other. We just want to make sure our son is in good hands."

Bakugo met her gaze with unwavering confidence. "I promise you, I'll always be there for Eijiro. I'll protect him and support him, no matter what."

Eijiro's parents exchanged a look, a silent communication passing between them. Finally, Mr. Kirishima spoke, his voice firm but kind. "That's all we needed to hear. Welcome to the family, Bakugo."

The tension in the room eased, replaced by a sense of acceptance and understanding. Eijiro reached across the table, taking Bakugo's hand in his, a silent gesture of gratitude and love.

As the dinner continued, the conversation flowed more freely, and the atmosphere grew warmer. Eijiro couldn't help but smile, knowing that despite their differences and the challenges they faced, they were building a future together, one step at a time.

And under the table, out of sight, their hands remained intertwined, a symbol of their unbreakable bond.
