Part 3 - Tad Bit Personal

I hear them all come out of the meeting room, all their minds racing a lot of thoughts and feelings.

'Well that is all from me for now... remember one thing out of line and you're going back. I've got my eye on you' Fury states

I smile 'Fury if you want to go out some time id be delighted...'

'Goodbye Miss Y/LN...' he says walking out

'So it seems we are your new mental institution... would you feel comfortable in a broom closet?' Tony asks

I grin 'I'm suppose it wouldn't be far off... does it have good acoustic's?'

He sighs 'ok this one is with you reindeer games... spare room at the end'

I smile walking over to him 'your majesty' I say grinning

He looks at me unamused 'come on'

We ride up the elevator to our floor

'Your very quiet...'

'I don't like conversation...' he states

I nod 'it's not that... with you it's all quiet...'

He looks towards me 'thoughts are loud for you?'

I shrug 'less than what they are without the cuffs... however being isolated probably hasn't helped...civilisation is still loud'

He nods, we walk down the hall and he points to the room.

'That's yours... mines down there, if you want something Thor is across the hall there so go to him'

I nod 'thanks...' I say

He nods and walks off. I open the door to be greeted by a bed, wardrobe, draws, bookshelves and so much more. I walk in and look around running my hand through the furniture.

'This is so much better...'

A few hours later
'Miss Y/LN, the team has requested your presence for dinner' the ai speaks

I make my way down and awkwardly sit beside Clint and Thor.

'Lady y/n would you like some?' Thor asks holding out a tray of potatoes

'No thank you... I'm good' I say

The team start talking about random crap as I pick at my food.

'So y/n... given you know stuff about us tell us about you' Steve says

I shrug 'what do you want to know?' I question

'Why did you kill those men?' Tony asks

'Tony!' Nat scolds

'It's fine... I had good reason. They were transporting young girls to organisations. Not that anyone would listen to the 'girl who can read minds' I state

Steve furrows his brows 'did they have to die? Couldn't you have just made them confess?'

I look at him 'I could have but chose not to, take that as you will captain but I did what I did, you listen to thoughts you wish you'd never heard...' I state

'And the incidents with your previous homes?' Nat questions

I look at her full of anger.

I take a breath and smile 'there my business, tad bit personal you asking considering we only just met...'

Clint clears his throat 'not really fair considering you know everything about us...'

I look at him 'you are aware these cuffs limit me right? There not for show' I state

'So how far does your power go with them on? Is it like my brother' Thor questions

I hum 'I don't know the lengths of your brothers power, with the cuffs I can't harm anyone if that is what you wish to know... I can hear your thoughts which by the way are very loud and aggravating and surface stuff like favourite colours, favourite songs...'

Thor smiles 'thank you for sharing...'

I nod and continue pushing the food around my plate.

'If I may I'm heading to bed...'

Tony nods allowing me to go, I courtesy before heading off with a fake grin.

Dining room
'She seems innocent enough...' Wanda hums

The team all look to her

'What? She answered majority of the questions you asked her, I think you need to give her time before forcing her to talk about her childhood..'

'There could be information we should know, what if something terrible happened?' Tony questions

'Fury claimed the incidents were harmless... they are probably just personal, I get none of you want her here however you could be a bit more considerate seeing as she can hear everything you think' Wanda states

'I quite like Miss y/n... she seems quite... strange' Thor states

Loki sits at the table not engaging in conversation he does wonder however how much she is capable of.
