Part 60 - She's Not Y/n

Lokis POV
For the last week y/n had been distant, I was frustrated. What were we? Why was she distancing herself? So many unanswered questions.

'Brother!' Thor yells

I roll my eyes 'what Thor?!'

'Have you not been listening? Have you got some of that paper stuff these midgardians call money?'

I look at him dumbfounded, I don't think he'll ever adjust to this environment 'no Thor.. what even for?'

'Pop tarts...' he says quietly, I groan

'Go ask stark, he always has it!'

Thor furrows his brows 'why are you more tempered than normal brother?'

'I'm not!'

He raises a brow 'right... has this anything to do with your soulmate being no where to be seen?'

'Will you stop using that term! And maybe... I think I should question her'

Thor stands and rushes to me 'do not do that! If I have learned anything from woman-'

'Jane..'

'Yes Jane... then you don't push them to tell you something, you must be patient brother...'

I sigh 'what has you so afraid this will go wrong?..'

He shrugs 'I want nephews and that isn't going to happen if you screw things up...'

I get up 'no don't start, we're not even courting..'

'Soulmates...' he says smiling

'Ok I'm officially done with this conversation...' I say walking out

I walk down the corridor and hear arguing, at first I thought it was Sam and Bucky just bickering as per usual but I hear y/n.

I go to storm in when I hear her.

'I don't understand why you're acting this way with me!'

'Because you've been distant y/n! This all stems from our conversation! Since that day you haven't been the same!'

'So off a hunch that something is bothering me your pulling me?! How does that even make sense?!'

'Because y/n anyone can see it, you're upset, unwell! Do you really care that little for your health?! You're in no state to be on missions!'

'Who's to say what state I'm in?! I'm fine Tony just because I'm not all cupcakes and rainbows all the time doesn't make me unwell!' She argues

He sighs 'we both know there's something more... and until you're ready to talk about it, open up whatever is eating at you... this is how it must be'

I feel a wave of raw emotion hit me, pain, sadness... but it wasn't mine it was hers. I shake it off and walk in.

'Good afternoon..' I say trying to break the tension

They both stare at me, they really were alike... it was scary.

I smile and hum 'I received news I'm needed in Asgard... I was coming to find you y/n seeing as I promised you could come on my next visit...'

She nods gently before glaring at Tony, she walks out leaving us both there 'let me talk to her...'

Tony sighs sitting down 'and say what? She's not y/n at the moment... not the y/n I know anyway'

I sigh rubbing my face 'I'm not sure... and she is, our y/n I mean... she's just hurting Tony'

He looks to me 'I thought this would work... pulling her, I thought she'd open up... the trip to Asgard... where you called on?'

'No... but it may be the thing that helps her open up'

Y/n POV
I walk through to my room, I pack most of my essentials into a bag and sit down. I was excited about Asgard. I was hoping it may be the very thing that eased my mind, help me push all them negative memories, feelings down again.

Especially now... I had no distraction here other than training and sometimes that just wasn't enough.

There's a knock which makes me stand 'come in'

Loki walks through 'you ready the sooner the better...'

I roll my eyes at him 'you don't have to keep up the act... you really think that lie would get past me?'

He smirks 'no.. but worth the shot. Now let's go'

We head toward the roof 'why are you so eager to get there?'

He smiles 'my mother... she'll love you...' he says

That put a small smile on my face, I would love it if she did. I was nervous though, I wasn't royalty and wasn't what some would say is normal.

'I don't think I've ever seen that face before...' he says

I look to him confused 'what?'

'Nervousness...'

I smile lightly 'well given I'm no princess or goddess I have a feeling I will be judged and by the sounds more so if I'm truly 'unwell'

He looks to me sighing 'y/n don't take what Tony said personally... he's just worried as am I, hence the trip...'

I nod, I felt like a burden. Like a project to fix, Tony with his ban and Loki with a vacation. I appreciated they cared and I know that they were trying their best to make me feel comfortable in opening up but it all felt pushy, fast...

'Lady y/n I can't wait for you to meet my friends, the warriors three... this was a good idea brother'

I smile, Thor looked like an excited, eager puppy.

'I can't wait... especially after the stories you've told me' I say smiling

'Right well shall we go?' Loki asks

Both me and Thor nod excited.

'Heimdall!'
