Part 83 - My Dream Changed

Y/n's POV
The time had come to say goodbye to Asgard had come. Since Loki had gotten back from his mother and Thor he had been quiet, I thought I'd wait until it was just us to ask however.

Frigga gives me a hug 'I'm sorry about your time here y/n, I hope next time you enjoy your experience.'

I pull away 'I'm aloud back?' I ask surprised

She laughs lightly 'of course, I love seeing you. I apologies for how you've been treated previously here..'

I nod 'it's no worries...'

'Goodbye my sons, I'll see you soon'

'Goodbye mother..' both Thor and Loki say

She smiles widely as we make our way to the platform, Loki helps me holding me by the waist.

'Farewell old friend...' Thor says to Hemidall

He nods and in a blink we're travelling through the coloured streaks of the bifrost.

I clutch onto Loki as we land back on earth 'I don't think I'll ever get used to that...'

He smiles helping inside.

We walk in to see the compound empty 'where is everyone?' I ask

Thor shrugs 'no idea all I know is I need a nap..' he walks off to his room

I look to Loki 'well seeing as the tower is empty...'

'You wanna go...' he raises his brows

I whack him gently 'no!... later... I was going to say what happened about the whole ruling Asgard?'

He sighs 'not much...'

'What do you mean? Your mother must need help with grieving and taking care of all them people, not to mention the realms especially now...'

He shakes his head 'it doesn't affect me y/n...'

I tilt my head 'how so? Thors gonna be doing it?'

'For now... he's going to be taking regular visits to ensure no one sees Asgard as an easy target...'

'You think people will attack?'

He shrugs 'its possible... people will know it's vulnerable right now'

'And you? Why is it just Thor?'

'Because y/n right now I want to enjoy this, us. I'm on hold for them incase anything happened but I don't wish to rule...'

I raise a brow 'what did you do with 2012 Loki Laufeyson because you're not him..'

He fake laughs 'ha ha so funny...'

I shove him lightly 'come on, tell me. Wasn't it your dream to rule one day?'

He nods 'yes... but my dream changed. Here is my home, with you. And would you honestly be happy there? The view may be good but is it enough to leave everyone?'

'I'd follow you anywhere...'

He shakes his head 'maybe one day but y/n you've found your family. Im not going to take that away from you...'

I smile sadly, I really did love this man. I lean against his chest looking up to him.

'I love you...'

'I love you too... now, about later?'

I smirk 'fine but gentle, I ache'

He looks to me 'anything for you darling' he says before picking me up into his arms

'Loki!' I squeal

A few hours later
It had gotten dark out and still no sign of the team, I wondered if everyone was ok but no one was reachable. I sit at the window looking out on New York trying to find a glimpse of anyone, someone but nothing.

I look back to my bed where Loki laid sleeping, after the last few weeks I was thankful he was home. The bed had felt empty for so long, all I wanted to do was go lie back down in his arms but my mind wouldn't switch off, wouldn't stop thinking different scenarios.

I hear the familiar sound of the quinjet and dive up to run to the roof. I burst out the door breathing heavy, my worry had made me forget my wound.

I shake it off making my way to the back of the jet as it starts to open. I spot Tony instantly and give him a hug.

'Looney?'

I look up to him and smile 'hi..'

'I'm going to try not take offence that Tony is the only one who gets a hug...' Nat states

I roll my eyes 'good because I'm not done...'

They all groan getting off the jet, Tony pulls away and looks to me.

'You ok? You kind of went off without saying goodbye, which by the way I'm holding to you...'

I smile lightly 'yeah I'm ok, I was just worried... I'm sorry Thor kind of rushed me to get off planet asap...'

He smiles 'we're fine, just a bit of a bigger mission is all... Peter told me 'Mr Thor' kind of rushed...'

I smile 'yeah... a lot happened'

He nods 'I assumed... talk to me tomorrow about it... you coming to sleep on the sofa?'

I shake my head 'no lokis back, thank you though Tony for being there whilst he was gone...'

'It's fine looney, come on go to bed..'

I nod sitting down a moment 'yeah I'll go down in a sec.. just give me a minute...'

'You ok? Have you eaten?'

I nod 'yes.. just gained an injury on Asgard is all... I'm ok' I say getting up

He furrows his brows 'how? What?'

I sigh lifting up my shirt exposing my stab wound that laid across my stomach.

'Y/n! Can you not go 5 minutes without getting hurt? You're like a magnet for being in pain! Who did this?'

I sigh 'my boyfriend's father really doesnt like me... kinda deserved it kinda didn't'

He sighs 'go rest... we need a proper chat tomorrow'

I nod heading down with him.
