Part 84 - Wanna Dance?

It had been a few months since our return to earth, my sleep had improved greatly and my dreams had stopped.

Me and Peter had grown close friends and continuously were on missions here there and everywhere around New York.

Today was the day, it was my brothers wedding! I was so excited about it. I went from being the orphan girl to being a twin sister. And today was a celebration of love but also two family's uniting.

We arrive at the ceremony and take our seats, it was truly beautiful, flowers and foliage everywhere I looked. It was perfect.

The ceremony begins, I see my brother and his bride exchange vowels and take their rings. In this moment I was so happy for him, he had came a long way. From being Hydras pet to a successful physicist who found love with an incredible woman.

Loki takes my hand and looks to me.

'Darling I love it when you feel this way'

I smile at his words that filled my head.

'I'm so happy for him...'

He nods smiling.

They kiss ending the ceremony we stand clapping, I was over filled with joy.

'Y/n are you crying?' Nat asks

I look to her 'shut up...'

The After Party
'I'm so happy for you both!' I exclaim hugging them

'Really I thought you were upset, I heard you crying over people's cheers...' Elijah dumfolds

'You told him...' I say looking to Loki

'No idea what you are talking about...' he states smirking

I turn to Amanda 'these two are sneaky...if you have any trouble with him tell me, I'm good at nagging' I state

She smiles 'I definitely will be'

'No don't start the sister thing yet...' Elijah states

'Too late you did that by marrying me...' she says smiling

He rolls his eyes 'small price to pay..'

'We'll talk to you later...' I say as other guests approach, they nod as we go.

'Wanna dance?' I ask Loki

He groans 'do I have a choice?'

I take his hand swiftly 'no, I was just being polite'

He smiles as we go to the dance floor, we sway with eachother to the music. His hands lay on my waist whilst mine lay on his shoulders. The top of our heads lean on one another.

'One day you'll be the one in white...' he says leaning into my ear

I look up at him smiling 'one day love...'

We continue to dance when I feel a presence close into us. I look to Loki.

'What is it?'

'Mind if I cut in?'

Loki looks between us, I nod. He gives me a quick peck before letting me go.

'What do you want Phil?' I ask annoyed as we dance

He raises his brows 'still annoyed?'

I look at him 'hmm pissed is more appropriate...'

He sighs 'y/n I'm sorry... I was just trying to look out for you and from what I've heard-'

'Elijah's been talking about me?'

He hums 'when he's worried, yes. He has a tendency of ranting when... well when you get yourself into trouble...'

I roll my eyes 'never again am I telling him anything...'

'Hey! He cares ok and whether you believe me or not I do too... look all I want to do is make amends, I want my daughter back in my life...'

I hum 'you managed just fine for almost 2 years and all the ones before that...'

'That's not fair y/n...' he says hurt

'Life's not fair, the decision you gave me wasn't fair...'

'Your being stubborn, all I want is for us to move past this. I don't want you to look at me as Phil, I want to be your dad. I fell apart after our falling out, Elijah will tell you... I wasn't thinking straight, mere hours before our argument I saw you dead y/n.'

'And yet instead of being there you left...'

'I let my pride get in the way, I'm stubborn also but how can I make this up to you? I'm trying y/n, I really am. One day if you get married I want to be there, I don't want to miss out on anything else'

And them words brung me back to the beginning of the day. The whole reason I was excited about this wedding. Family.

'Fine... but don't expect rainbows and cupcakes straight away'

He nods 'I know, it'll take time. Thank you for giving me this chance...'

I nod letting him go. I had to let this go. I felt the same as him, I didn't want to loose my dad over an argument, not after everything I had been through to find my family. This argument wasn't worth losing out on.

I make my way over to Loki, he stood with Tony, Bucky and Thor. They all smile wide as I come over.

'What is wrong with your faces?' I ask

'It was like watching reality tv...' Tony says

'I wasn't sure your stubborn ass would forgive him' Bucky states

I roll my eyes 'well it's a wedding... in a forgiving mood...'

'So you would forgive me if I told you I was the one to break your favourite mug?' Thor queries

I look at him mad 'no! Really Thor? I loved that mug...'

'But do you forgive me lady y/n for my mistake...'

I furrow my brows 'no, that's probably worse than the betrayal of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.'

'And she's back to stubborn...' Bucky dumbfounds

'Who is this Brad and Jennifer?' Thor questions

I turn to Tony 'can I break my sobriety for this...'

He sighs 'as painful as this is no...'
