Part 25 - Can I Call You Daddy?

'Sorry what? I don't even know you? Who you are? And now your saying your my dad?' I question confused

He sighs 'I'm an agent at SHIELD as you know... I wasn't even aware you existed... I just saw her face and looked into it all I didn't know you where her daughter...' he explains

I furrow my brows 'how did you know my mum? If you seem to think you're my dad then you must have known her no?'

He sighs 'I was undercover in the base she was kept in... I was one of her main guards and we just went from there... we talked and I eventually explained who I actually was... I loved her and I couldn't stand seeing her there... I helped her escape under the radar keeping it off the books with SHIELD, I promised her I'd find my way to her once the coast was clear... when it was safe... I never knew she was pregnant.'

I sit there in shock... when I suddenly stand and walk over to him.

'May I..' I ask holding my hands towards his head, he nods

Coulsons Mind
'This here is y/mn y/ln... she's the scientists daughter. You are the guard of her...' an agent explains.

He nods walking up to the cell, he nods with a small smile. She gives an unsure look.

There's clips of them talking, whilst guards are swapping shifts him going in to check on her make sure she wasn't severely injured. Patching her up when necessary.

A few months later
'Why are you acting this way? Why are you being distant?' She asks through the cell door

He faces her 'because I love you y/mn! And I'm putting you in more danger being your guard!'

She grabs his face through the bars 'then talk to me... explain..'

He sighs 'I'm with another company... SHEILD... I'm undercover here and if they found I would die and you'd be left with a guard who works the way they want them too... I wouldn't be here to help you..'

She nods 'well for the record... I think I may love you too...'

2 months later
Coulson sets a distraction up causing all the guards to flee from the corridor.

'This is your chance my love...' he says helping her out of the cell.

He leads her to a man over and opens it 'go straight and then a left, you'll be out'

She nods starting to climb down 'Phil... when will we see eachother again?'

He smiles leaning down to her 'I promise I'll find you, once the coast is clear'

She nods tears rolling down her face as she disappears.

Present day
I remove my hands from his head my face was soaked with tears as was his. I was confused, upset, angry at the fact I had a father who I missed all that time with due to greed and the scumbag's at Hydra.

'I'm sorry I wasn't there... and I'm sorry I took so long to realise...' he states

He was being genuine, I could feel his guilt his sadness. I nod, he pulls me in for a hug, I stand there rigid for a moment. Never in my life did I ever expect finding him, meeting him and here he was hugging me.

A few hours later
We had talked getting to know each other. It all felt surreal... I was mad however, why did they think I couldn't handle this? Steve mainly as Fury didn't know my personality all that well...

Tony walks in smiling 'see isn't it great I requested her?'

Coulson nods 'I wasn't aware you'd actually side with me'

Tony furrows his brows 'of course I would, she's my girl... and there was going against Steve.

Coulson looks at me questioningly 'not him... out of all men'

I shake my head 'no, no it's not like that. He's a pain in the ass... most of the time'

Tony looks at us offended 'really? I have you know I'm very much just like a brother for her, does that mean I can call you daddy?'

Coulson eye rolls 'no'

I smile 'did you need something?' I ask Tony

'Yes...dinners ready and it's almost bedtime...'

I sigh 'really Tony?!'

He nods 'we have a party on Saturday if you want to come, stop by anytime to see y/n...' he says to Coulson

Coulson nods turning to me 'I'll see you Saturday and you can tell me about your life growing up...'

I nod hesitantly as he hugs me 'see you soon...' he says
