Part 2 - Basically Harmless

I walk beside Fury with my hands power control cuffed. It was weird I could hear all these thoughts.

'This is a bad idea she's mental, she should be controlled' Maria

'This job fucking sucks' receptionist

'Oh shit I'm late for my appointment' civilian 

Being in a cell the past 3 years with no visitors actually made me forget what it was like to have my mind filled.

We head up the elevator of what I think is the biggest building I've ever seen. We walk through the halls to a room where many people are sitting.

'Good afternoon... I called this meeting to introduce a new member to the team... this is Y/N Y/LN... I think she'll be a good asset'

'I'm Ste-'

'No need for introductions I'm aware of all of your names, favourite colours, food...' I go on to say smirking

'She's telepathic...' fury sighs

'Wait... y/n y/ln... why does that seem familiar?' Nat asks

I smile 'I'm the woman who killed them people a few years ago... the 'looney' I say bowing

They all turn to Fury shocked

'Sorry a murderer!? Please tell me your joking' Tony seethes

I breath out a laugh 'I mean you've all killed, some way more than me... I think you need to ground yourself...' I say smiling

He looks at me 'you killed innocents, you shouldn't be here you should be in your cell!" He seethes

I lean forward on the table 'who's to say they were innocent...' I state

'Anyway... she is on the team whether you agree or don't. She's on the same terms as Loki, cuffs, minimal missions until trusted otherwise and watched at all times...' fury states

'Unbelievable' Tony

'This is insane' Steve

'She's hot..' Sam

'Thank you Sam...' I say grinning, he lays his head down on the table

'I need to control myself' he says

'Miss Y/LN can you leave us a moment, Bucky go with and watch her' fury states

We come out of the room and head to the kitchen 'you want something to eat?..' he asks

I smile 'thanks but no... do you have any books?' I ask

He hums walking over to the coffee table 'I think these are Lokis but have them for now if you want' he says

I smile and sit down on a kitchen stool.

'She's basically harmless..' Bucky

I turn to him with a raised brow 'you know you can be civilised and still deadly right?" I state

He looks at me dumbfounded 'do them cuffs do anything? You seem to be doing quite a lot still...' he asks partly afraid

I giggle 'they do a lot more than you think... I used to be able to do so much... listen to feelings, darkest thoughts, control the minds of others... not that I did that often, only when necessary...'

He stares at me 'is that how you killed them people?' He asks

I hum flicking through one of the books 'I did... not that it was something I would do out of choice however...'

'You killed how many people? I think you had a choice..'

I look at him 'that must be nice to say coming from someone who didn't have a choice with his victims...the fact you had no choice, the fact the lives you took can be blamed elsewhere...' I say smiling

'Bitch..'

'Very true statement keep them coming... I think we'll be great friends' I say reading the book more.

The Meeting Room

'This has to be the most dumbest shit you've pulled...' Tony states

Fury sighs 'Lokis here and he invaded Earth... yet you've all accepted him' Fury states

'Yeah because he wasn't a raging looney' Clint dumbfounds

'What even differs her from the two telepathic people we have already?' Nat questions

'She not only reads, without the cuffs she can look into your deepest feelings, thoughts, memories... and control others minds...' Fury states

Everyone goes quiet

'And you thought letting her out of her cell to do hero work would be a good idea? With that power?' Sam argues

'I believe in a second chance... at her trial she never defended herself, she stayed completely silent, I don't believe she killed them people for the fun of it...'

'And what makes you think that other than the silent treatment being caught?' Tony dumbfounds

Fury throws some files on the table.

'She's an orphan... we traced 3 different homes however we believe there are more... accidents in foster families, homes... all harmless things... all from her childhood. She didn't suddenly just start killing for no reason... I may be wrong but there is more to her than meets the eye...' fury states

'It doesn't say how she came of such power?' Vision enquiries

'We don't know... she was found beside her dead mother by a neighbour... she was immediately processed into the care system...' Maria states

'And you don't think there's any issues?' Steve asks her

She nods 'I'm not going to lie there are some major issues with this however if the Director thinks it's wise then we should trial it...' she states

They nod

'So we are in agreement, she is here until further notice'
