Satisfaction

If Jeon Jungkook were to describe his last year in one word, it would be "satisfaction." In just one year, Jeon Jungkook had achieved many things he had strived for. And yet, it was just the start of a new chapter in his achievements. The first year of his career after graduation was untroubled for him—quite calm and serene if he discounted his adventures.

Just one year ago, he had left South Korea to pursue his dream of traveling the world, to explore different places and cultures with his own eyes. It was his adventurous nature. Leaving his home country had been a difficult decision, not for himself but rather for his family. He had been away from home before, but never for more than two weeks. Even the European trips during his vacations had been with family. But now, he was distant from them for one year—a year without seeing his family.

He was born with a silver spoon, so it was not new for him to get what he desired. His father would give him anything before he even asked. The perks of being the heir of the country’s richest man. But his job was rather personal, something he earned on his own without the influence of his family name.

Jeon Jungkook got a job at a prestigious american travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveler. Even though he had only completed a minor course in photography, his portfolio was impressive enough to land him a job immediately after graduation. Jeon Jungkook had the skill to capture emotions and feelings in his art. His photos gave people a sense of connectivity. But for Jungkook, it wasn’t him that needed Conde Nast Traveler; any magazine would have liked to have him as their photographer, even though he was fresh in the industry.

Getting a high-end job didn’t stop him from enjoying the luxuries of his father’s money. While every staff member stayed in average hotels, he preferred luxurious resorts in the city. He had a collection of sports cars and heavy bikes, no matter which city he went to.

He had provided the magazine with the best photographs from Medellin, Interlaken, Chamonix, and Zermatt. His photograph of the towering dunes of the Namib Desert was nominated for the year’s best this month. Photographs of the Grand Canyon were epic, making the magazine rank as number one.

In the past year, Jeon Jungkook had experienced an adrenaline rush many times. His considerable resources allowed him to engage in thrilling, high-risk activities—paragliding over the Andes Mountains, trekking through the rugged landscape of Patagonia, and enjoying the stunning summit view of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The list was endless.

Though he never had a fixed destination, his exploratory journey was going to be on a break in a few days. Currently, he was sitting on the deck of a luxury liveaboard. The now 23-year-old had a youthful charm with masculine strength. His face was soft yet striking. His warm brown eyes were gazing at the natural beauty of the Andaman Sea.
