✧The past two days had felt like an endless torment for Jimin. Every waking moment was consumed by the same thought: leaving Yoongi to give him a chance at happiness, even if it meant sacrificing his own.
Jimin found himself standing in front of Yoongi’s office, a place he had visited countless times before. The grand doors loomed ahead, their imposing presence a stark reminder of the world he was about to enter.
As the doors swung open, Jieun, Yoongi’s secretary and childhood friend, greeted him with a warm smile. “Jimin-hy!” she said brightly, her eyes lighting up with recognition.
“Hi, Jieun. How are you?” Jimin replied, forcing a polite smile. Jieun had been Yoongi’s closest friend.
“Just so you know,” Jieun said, giving him a knowing wink before turning to leave, “your husband is in a good mood today.”
Jimin sighed as she walked away. It was a habit of hers to update him on Yoongi’s mood whenever he visited. It was a small, familiar gesture, but today, it felt strangely insignificant against the weight of his decision.
Jimin opened the door and stepped into the office, his heart heavy with uncertainty. Yoongi’s face brightened at the sight of his husband entering, but the smile faltered as Jimin bypassed him and settled on the couch.
Yoongi’s expression shifted from pleasure to concern. He let out a weary sigh and walked over to Jimin. Sitting down beside him, he gently pulled Jimin onto his lap.
“Is something bothering you?” Yoongi asked softly, his voice filled with genuine worry.
Jimin shifted uncomfortably, trying to pull away. “Yoongi, please give me some space,” he mumbled, his voice tinged with frustration.
The request stung Yoongi deeply, but he forced himself to remain calm. He could see how distressed Jimin was, and understanding his husband’s needs was his priority. Despite the hurt, Yoongi resolved to give Jimin the space he needed.
Yoongi’s voice was gentle but laced with concern. “What’s wrong, Jimin?” he asked, trying to understand the shift in his husband’s demeanor.
Jimin shifted uncomfortably, his eyes cast downward. “You know our marriage was arranged,” he began, his voice trembling slightly. Yoongi’s expression grew puzzled, his brows knitting together.
“And there was no love in it,” Jimin continued, his words coming out in a rush. “I think... I think it’s time for us to end this. I want a divorce.”
The words seemed to hang in the air, and Yoongi’s face fell, his eyes widening in shock. “What?” he breathed, disbelief evident in his tone.
“I want a divorce, Yoongi,” Jimin repeated, his voice firmer this time. He could see the anger flickering in Yoongi’s eyes, a mixture of hurt and frustration.
