Yoongi’s life had been a whirlwind for the past few months. Every day blurred into the next, a relentless cycle of responsibilities and chaos. And Jeongguk’s interference? It had only made things worse. Now that Jeongguk’s issue was finally settled, another problem loomed on the horizon: Jungkook. He was becoming a major obstacle in their delicate negotiations with Celestial Heaven. Yoongi had to close this deal—no matter the cost. Whether it was through pure, honest methods or something darker and more sinister, he couldn't afford to fail.

In the middle of all this, Yoongi realized he had been neglecting Jimin. They barely saw each other anymore, their once frequent moments together now reduced to fleeting glances in passing. The distance between them was growing, and it gnawed at Yoongi’s chest. It hurt him more than he liked to admit. But right now, there was no room in his life to be the perfect husband. At least, not yet. The world demanded too much of him, and time—their time—was slipping away.

But that day, seeing Jimin in such distress tugged hard at Yoongi’s heart. He knew Jimin had no one but him. These days, even the elder Jeon couple was in rehabilitation, leaving Jimin completely alone in that large, empty house.

When Jimin had softly asked for a kiss, Yoongi had obliged without hesitation. Yet, deep down, something felt wrong. If Yoongi wasn’t around, Jimin’s usual response would have been anger, frustration, maybe even cold silence. But this vulnerability—this quiet plea—felt foreign, unsettling.

Yoongi held him close that evening, offering comforting words, but he didn’t fully grasp what had Jimin so broken. He whispered sweet reassurances, knowing how much Jimin thrived on gentle praise. Then, in an effort to lift his husband’s spirits, Yoongi took him to Jimin’s favorite restaurant, hoping that familiar surroundings might bring back the warmth he’d always associated with his sunshine.

It had taken time and effort—but slowly, a bit of the old Jimin began to resurface. if only for a fleeting moment, but it wasn’t enough to ease the nagging worry that something deeper was still troubling him.

What surprised Yoongi the most was Jimin’s sudden interest in the collaboration. Jimin had never cared much for business dealings before, preferring to stay far away from the corporate world. Yet, here he was, asking questions, his curiosity piqued. Yoongi, despite his initial shock, had explained things to him—though not entirely truthfully. He spun a story, saying that Kim Jongin was a newcomer to the industry, someone whose vision aligned perfectly with what Jeon Corp was looking for in their hotel expansion.

Jimin hadn’t pressed for more details after that, and Yoongi caught the familiar glint of trust in Jimin’s eyes, a trust that twisted painfully in his chest. It hurt to lie to him, it always did. But Yoongi had become skilled at masking the truth, weaving deception into their conversations so seamlessly that Jimin never questioned him. Every time, Jimin believed him without hesitation. And every time, Yoongi’s guilt weighed heavier, even as he told himself it was necessary.
