✧In a matter of minutes, Taehyung found himself stepping out of the cell, the ordeal suddenly morphing into a macabre game of money and power.
As he stood outside the police station, the chill of the night air pierced through his thin hospital clothes, sending shivers racing across his skin. A throbbing pain radiated from his forehead, but it was overshadowed by a dull ache that coursed through his entire body.
Yet, beneath the physical discomfort lay an even heavier burden: worry for Jeongguk.
Every heartbeat seemed to echo with anxiety, his thoughts consumed by Jeongguk , vulnerable and in pain.
Taehyung clenched his fists, praying fervently that Jeongguk was okay—that Jeongguk wouldn’t suffer more wounds than Taehyung himself had endured.
Jungkook’s grip tightened around Taehyung's arm, the pain was sharp. Taehyung flimch as he felt the pressure, but Jungkook stand still unbother.
Taekook lips trembled as the weight of his emotions overwhelmed him, and silent tears began to stream down his face, each drop carrying the sorrow he struggled to articulate.
Eunwoo sighed in frustration, his voice tinged with exasperation. "Jungkook, you're making my job difficult." Taehyung recognized him as the commissioner by the distinct uniform he wore, its crisp lines contrasting sharply with the situation. Eunwoo's brow furrowed, his gaze flickering between Jungkook and Taehyung.
Jungkook ignored him completely, focusing solely on Taehyung. He roughly pulled Taehyung toward his car, his grip so tight that it left a stinging sensation.
The engine roared to life as Jungkook slammed his foot on the accelerator, driving recklessly. He weaved in and out of traffic, indifferent to the screeching tires and the jolting impact of the car as it hit potholes and uneven pavement. The world outside blurred into a chaotic mix of colors and lights.
Taehyung didn't feel the usual fear one would expect from such a frantic drive; instead, he felt a strange numbness, almost as if he was hoping for another accident, a way to escape the unbearable pain he was experiencing.
Throughout the drive, Jungkook was engrossed in phone calls, his attention divided. The ride was chaotic, but Taehyung's focus remained on the torment within him, his thoughts clouded by the emotional wreckage of the night.
The car screeched to a halt in front of the church, its tires protesting against the abrupt stop. Taehyung's heart pounded in his chest as he stared at the unfamiliar setting. His confusion deepened when Jungkook abruptly exited the car and yanked open Taehyung's door with an impatient shove.
"Come out. I'm not your chauffeur," Jungkook grumbled, his voice edged with frustration.
Taehyung stumbled out. "It's a church," he mumbled, his voice laced with confusion.
