│Jungkook sighed as he stared at the mountain of files on his desk. He had joined the company with a newfound interest in business. But what he found here was a different story—a murky undercurrent that made him uneasy. He could sense that something dark was lurking beneath the surface, and he was determined to uncover it.
The case surrounding Jeongguk weighed heavily on him. Negotiating the details felt like trying to catch smoke with his bare hands. The true orchestrator of the events remained hidden, shrouded in shadows.
The CCTV footage from the journey between Jeon Hotel and Taehyung's studio had inexplicably glitched for hours, and to make matters worse, the black box from the car had been destroyed. The driver had vanished without a trace, his whereabouts unknown even after extensive searches across the country.
Eunwoo's team had been working tirelessly, day and night, but they had yet to uncover a single piece of evidence. Each passing day felt like a step further away from the truth, and Jungkook's frustration simmered beneath the surface.
He took a deep breath, trying to rein in his spiraling thoughts. He wouldn’t let the company’s overwhelming workload distract him from his commitment to Jeongguk. No matter how daunting the challenge, he would see this through. He owed it to Jeongguk, to Taehyung.

The university was closed for vacation, leaving the campus empty and lifeless. Hoseok, having no classes to attend ,and with Hoseok's dad also in Seoul, he found himself at his father’s villa. It was a grand place, with wide-open spaces and an air of quiet sophistication, but the silence that filled it was heavy, almost suffocating.
Hoseok was in his room, staring out the large window that overlooked the villa’s manicured gardens. The late afternoon sun slanted in through the glass, casting long shadows across the polished floor. He barely noticed when the door opened.
Soo Shik entered, his movements precise and mechanical, his face set in that ever-impassive expression. There was something unnervingly methodical in the way he walked, as if every step were calculated. He paused just inside, his eyes sweeping the room before settling on Hoseok, waiting like a sentinel made of flesh and bone.
Hoseok was already aware that Taehyung was living with Jungkook. He assumed it was simply a sign of their growing friendship. Hoseok thought that having Jungkook around would provide Taehyung with some comfort, perhaps even distracting him from the lingering pain of missing Jeongguk.
He believed that as long as Taehyung could see Jungkook regularly, the ache of longing for Jeongguk would lessen.
In Hoseok’s mind, this arrangement was beneficial; after all, Jungkook was warm-hearted and full of energy, qualities that could lift Taehyung’s spirits. Hoseok felt a sense of relief at the thought that Taehyung might find solace in Jungkook’s presence.
