Chapter Thirteen

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
It was another day and after getting ready for the day, I left the Common Room with Draco and the others and eventually made it to the Great Hall and sat down for breakfast and I talked with Draco the entire time and after having breakfast, the both of us left the Great Hall and went to our first class of the day and by the time we had gotten to Potions class, we talked as we waited for Professor Snape to start the class and when he finally walked into the room, he began the class. After The first few classes were over for the day, both Draco and I had gone to the Great Hall for lunch and I sat with Draco and the others and I did some work as I ate and I also talked with Draco the entire time as well as the both of us had a few laughs together before Lunch was over and both Draco and I went on with our days. Later that day, I was about to make my way to the Library to do some homework before I was stopped by Hermione, “what is it?” I asked her, “I was wondering if you could help me with something.” she said to me, “why?” I asked her, “It's a long story.” she said to me, “well, if you’re going to blame Draco some more about the whole Chamber of Secrets thing, don’t bother.” I said to her before walking away, “that’s precisely why I’m asking for your help. You know him better than the rest of us.” she said to me, causing me to stop in my tracks and turn around and I just looked at her for a moment before speaking up, “fine but I’m not doing it for you. I just want this to stop and get to the bottom of it.” I said to her, “that’s why we’re doing this.” she said to me before I had gone with her. We eventually made it to the girls bathroom, “why are we doing it here?” I asked her, “because no one comes in here.” she told me before we met with Harry and Ron, “what is she doing here?” Harry asked, “she agreed to help. I thought since she also knows Draco better than we do, maybe she can tell us whether or not he’s being honest about the whole opening of the Chamber of Secrets.” Hermioe said to him before Hermione started making the Potion and Harry told us everything that he had heard, “again? You mean the Chamber of Secrets has been opened before?” Hermione asked, “of course, don’t you see? Lucius Malfoy must have opened it when he was at school here and now he’s taught Draco how to do it.” Ron said to us, “maybe. We’ll have to wait for the Polyjuice to know for sure.” Hermione said to him, “enlighten me, why are we brewing Polyjuice Potion in broad daylight in the middle of the Girls Lavatory. Don’t you think we’ll get caught?” Ron said to us, “no. no one ever comes in here.” Hermione told him, “why?” he asked, “Moaning Myrtle.” she said and I looked at her, “who?” Both Ron and I asked her before I noticed a Ghost appear from behind Ron, “Moaning Myrtle.” Hermione said again, “Who's Moaning Myrtle?” Ron asked, “look behind you if you want to know so badly.” I said to him, “I’m Moaning Myrtle. I wouldn’t expect you to know me.” she said before floating somewhere else before speaking up again, “Who would ever talk about ugly. Miserable. Moping. Moaning Myrtle.” she said as before she ended up diving into one of the toilets, “she's a little Sensitive.” she said to us, “I think it’s more than a little. I mean it makes sense considering what she said about herself.” I said to her before she continued with making the Potion.

After helping out Harry, Ron and Hermione with the whole Potion situation, I eventually made it back to the Common Room for the time being and after a while had passed, we found out about what Professor Lockhart was planning on doing and both Draco and I had gone to the Great Hall along with everyone else and noticed something in the middle of the room as everyone surrounded it and everyone talked as we waited for Professor Lockhart to start and after a few moments had passed, we all noticed him walk up onto the platform before he spoke up, “gather around. Gather around. Can everybody see me? Can you all hear me?” He said to everyone before standing on the other end of the platform, “in light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore had granted me permission to start this little dueling Club to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves as I myself have done on countless occasions. For full details, see my published works.” he said to everyone, “He’s a bloody Idiot.” I whispered to Draco and the other’s before he threw his cloak off to the side before some of the other girls caught it before he continued, “let me introduce my assistant, Professor Snape. He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration. Now I don’t want any of you youngsters to worry, you’ll have your Potions Master when I’m through with him. Never fear.” he said and I rolled my eyes a little before the both of them walked up to each other as they began the demonstration, after a few moments, Professor Lockhart spoke up again, “One… Two… Three.” he said, “Expelliarmus.” Snape said before Professor Lockhart went flying before he landed on the ground and some of us began to laugh a little about it before he managed to get up, “an excellent Idea to show them that, Professor Snape, but if you don’t mind me saying, it was pretty obvious what you’re about to do and if I had wanted to stop you, it would have been nearly too easy.” Professor Lockhart said as he walked up to Professor Snape, “it was obvious to everyone but him.” I said to Draco and the both of us chuckled a little before Snape spoke up, “then perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells Professor.” Snape said to him, “An excellent suggestion Professor Snape. Let's have a volunteer pair. Potter, Weasley, how about you.” he said to them, “Weasley’s wand causes devastation with the simplest spells. We’ll be sending Potter to the Hospital Wing in a Match Box. might I suggest someone from my own House? Malfoy or Cullen perhaps.” Snape said to him before he turned around and pointed at me before I climbed up onto the Platform and soon walked up to Harry as I took out my wand, “let’s have some fun shall we.” I said to him, “wands at the ready.” Professor Lockhart said to us and we did what he said, “so we shall.” Harry said to me before we turned around and walked the other way before Professor Lockhart spoke up, “on the count of three, cast your charms to disarm your opponent. Only to disarm, we don’t want any accidents here. One… Two… Three-” he said before Harry spoke up, “Expelliarmus.” he said before the Spell hit me, causing me to eventually land on the ground harshly before I managed to get up, “Evertestatier.” I said and as soon as the spell hit him, he went flying and fell on the ground before eventually getting back up, “Rictusempra.” he said and I managed to block it before it caused me to lose my balance and fall to the ground before I got up, “Malfoy.” I heard Snape say before Draco took my place and I stood with the other’s, “I said Disarm only.” Professor Lockhart informed them before Draco spoke up, “Serpensortia.” he said before a snake landed on the ground.

After a few moments had passed, Snape spoke up, “don’t worry Potter I’ll get rid of it for you.” h said and before he could do anything, Professor Lockhart spoke up, “allow me Professor Snape, Volante Assendey.” he said but it didn’t do much to the Snake as it landed back on the ground before Harry started speaking in another language and I noticed that it was moving towards in my direction before it looked at me and hissed before it bit me on the side of my face, “ow.” I said before the Snake moved and stopped in front of someone else as Harry continued to speak to it before he finally stopped before Snape had done something about it before someone else spoke up, “what are you playing at?” they asked Harry, “why did you make it do that for?” I asked him before he looked at me and I noticed that he noticed what had happened to me before Snape and Professor Lockhart dismissed everyone. After what had happened,  I had gone to the Hospital Wing to get the bite checked on and by the time I had gotten there with Draco, Madam Pomfrey walked up to me before speaking up, “whatever is the matter dear?” she asked me, “snake bite.” I said to her and she checked the side of my face, “alright then dear, Mr. Malfoy I can take it from here.” she said before I looked at Draco, “I’ll be alright.” I said to him and smiled a little before he nodded and walked away and left the Hospital Wing before Madam Pomfrey spoke up as she checked on me, “how do you feel?” she asked me, “not too bad I suppose. What’s supposed to happen anyways?” I said to her, “well, it seems to be a poisonous Snake but for someone such as yourself, I think you’ll be alright. Especially since you’re able to heal a lot more quickly than everyone else in the school” she said to me and she managed to clean it up a little before putting bandaids on it, “it will probably stay like that for a little while but I’m sure it’ll be back to normal by tomorrow.” she said to me, “thank you.” I said to her before I made my way back to the Common Room for the time being. After a few moments had passed, Harry, Ron and Hermione stood in front of me, “get out of my way.” I said to them, “we wanted to talk to you.” Hermione said, “I don’t want to hear it. I just want the lot of you to stay away from me, especially Harry.” I said to them in anger before walking away. By the time I made it back to the Common Room after talking with Hermione and the other’s, Draco walked up to me before he spoke up, “are you going to be alright?” he asked me, “yeah, I’ll be fine.” I told him, “how’s the bite?” he asked me, “not too bad actually.” I told him, “isn’t it Poisonous?” he asked me as Crabbe and Goyle sat down, “yeah it was. She gave me something for that part.” I told him hoping it was a good cover up, “alright, then whatever it was that she gave you works pretty well.” he said to me and I chuckled a little, “yeah, I suppose it does.” I said to him before we continued to spend the rest of the day together and it made me forget what had happened earlier as they made me laugh and we eventually ended up getting some homework done. Later that night, I was the only one in the Common Room as everyone had gone to bed for the night already and I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened earlier before I ended up falling asleep on the couch.
