Chapter Twenty Six

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
Once class was over, I left with the others before I had met up with Draco and soon told him what had happened with Hermione as we made our way to Hagrid’s class and by the time we had gotten there along with everyone else, Hagrd soon began the class. After the first few classes were over for the day, I had gone to the Great Hall for Lunch along with everyone else and by the time I had gotten there, I sat with Draco and the other’s as we talked throughout lunch. After some time had passed and lunch had ended before I had gone to my next class along with Draco and the both of us went on with our days. After classes were over for the day, I was walking around the Castle thinking about everything before I bumped into Harry, Ron and Hermione, “hey, sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you.” I said to them, “it’s fine. Actually, do you want to come with us?” Harry said to me, “yeah, we’re going to Hagrid’s.” Hermione said, “yeah sure. He did seem a bit down earlier during class.” I said to them before I soon walked out of the Castle with them before we saw an Executioner sitting as he was sharpening his axe and it made me feel uneasy about it before we continued to make our way to Hagrid’s. Before we could go any further, Hrmione had spoken up, “I can’t believe they’re going to kill Buckeak. It’s just too Horrible.” she said to us before we soon noticed Draco and a few others watching from a distance, “you can;t be serious.” I whispered and the four of us walked up to them before they noticed us, “Ah, come to see the show.” Draco said to us, “you foul loathsome evil little cockroach.” Hermione said as she pointed his wand at him, “Hermione no, he’s not worth it.” Ron said to her and after a few moments, she lowered her wand before she punched him in the face and I winced a little before he rushed off with his friends, “that felt good.” Hermione said to us, “clearly.” I said to her, “not good, brilliant.” Ron said to her, “let’s get to Hagrid’s” I said to them before we continued to make our way to Hagrid’s place. By the time we made it to Hagrid’s the four of us made it inside and both Harry and Hagrid were looking outside as the both of them spoke to each other, “oh look at him, he loves the smell of the trees when the wind blows through them.” Hagrid said, “why don’t you just set him free?” Harry suggested, “they’d know it was me and Dumbledore would get into trouble. He’s coming down, you know, Dumbldore. He says he wants to be with me when they- when it happens. Great man Dumbledore. Great Man.” Hagrid said before feeding something to the Creature he had in his house, “we’ll stay with you to Hagrid.” Hermione said to him, “you’ll do no such thing. You think I want you seeing something like that? No, you just drink your tea and be off. Oh before you do, Ron.” Hagrid said before he turned to grab something and soon saw that it was Ron’s Rat Scabbers, “Scabbers you’re alive.” Ron said as he took it from Hagrid, “you better keep a closer eye on your pets Ron.” Hagrid told him, “I think that means you owe someone an apology.” Hermione said to him, “right, next time I see Crookshanks I’ll let him know.” Ron said to her, “that’s not what she meant.” I told him, “I meant me.” Hermione said before one of the jars broke, “blimey, what was that?” Hagrid Questioned before something hit the back of Harry’s head before getting Hagrid’s attention, “It’s Late. it’s nearly dark, you shouldn’t be here. If someone sees you outside the Castle at this time of night, you’ll be in trouble, big trouble. Particularly you Harry.” Hagrid said to us before someone started knocking on the door, “be with you in a moment.” Hagrid said to them before we soon went to the back door and waited for Harry before he finally rushed over and we popped our heads out of the door and waited before we soon rushed out of the house.

After making it out of the back of Hagrid’s house, we hid behind the pumpkins for the time being as we watched and waited before Hermione and I heard something from behind us and the both of us looked to see what it was, “what?” Harry asked us, "I thought I just saw- nevermind.” Hermione said, “let’s go.” Ron said to us before we rushed off. After a few moment’s had passed, we had gotten some distance from Hagrid’s before we stopped for a moment and watched before something happened to Ron causing him to drop Scabbers, “he bit me.” Ron said to us before he went after him, “Ron wait.” I said to him as I soon followed him before he finally managed to catch Scabbers before I noticed the Whomping Willow and before I could say anything to Ron, we heard Harry speak up, “Ron, Rosella run.” he said to us before we noticed a dog standing behind them, “Harry, Hermione run. It’s the Grim.” Ron said to them before the dog started running before it jumped over Harry and Hermione before it grabbed Ron by the ankle and I quickly grabbed onto his hand before the both of us were dragged into the Whomping Willow. After Ron and I were dragged into the Shrieking Shack, we soon realized that the dog was Sirius Black and that he had been an Animagus before Harry and Hermioe soon rushed into the room shortly after, “the dog, where is it?” Harry asked us, “Harry, it’s a trap. He's the dog. He’s an Animagus.” Ron said to them as he pointed to where Sirius was hiding before the door moved out of the way to reveal Sirius, “if you want to Kill Harry, you’ll have to kill us too.” Hermione said to Sirius, “no, only one will die tonight.” Sirius said to us, “then it’ll be you.” Harry said before he tackled Sirius to the ground, “are you going to kill me Harry.” Sirius said to him as he laughed a little before Professor Lupin rushed into the room, “Expelliarmus.” he said and disarmed Harry before he got off of Sirius, “well, well Sirius. Looking rather ragged aren’t we. finally the flesh reflects the madness within.” Professor Lupin said to him, “well you’d know all about the Madness within wouldn’t you Remus.” Sirius said to him and after a moment had passed, Professor Lupin helped Sirius up before hugging and they bickered at each other before Hermione spoke up, “no. I trusted you and all this time you’ve been his friend. He’s a Werewolf and so is Rosella. That’s why they’ve been missing classes.” she said, “just so you know, I said nothing.” I said to Professor Lupin, “how long have you known?” Professor Lupin asked her, “since Professor Snape set the Essay.” she told him, “you got all of that just because of some Essay?” I asked her, “it seemed obvious.” she told me, “well well well, Hermione, you really are the brightest Witch of your age I’ve ever met.” Professor Lupin said to her, “enough talk Remus, come on let’s kill him.” Sirius said to him, “wait” Professor Lupin said to him, “I did my waiting. 12 years of it, in Azkaban.” Sirius said to him and there was a moment of Silence before Professor Lupin spoke up, “very well, kill him. But wait one more minute, Harry has the right to know why.” he said to Sirius as he gave him his wand, “I know why. You betrayed my parents. You’re the reason they're dead.” Harry said to Sirius, “no Harry it wasn't him. Somebody did betray your parents but it was somebody who, until quite recently, I believed to be dead.” Professor Lupin told him, “Who was it then?” Harry asked, “Peter Pettigrew. And he’s in this room, right now. Come out, come out Peter. Come out, come out and play.” Sirius said before someone else rushed into the room and saw that it was Snape as he disarmed Sirius.

After Sirius was Disarmed by Professor Snape, Snape soon spoke up as he continued to point his wand at Sirius, “vengeance is sweet. How I hoped that I’d be the one to catch you.” he began to say and Professor Lupin tried to intervene before Snape stopped him before he spoke up to Professor Lupin, “I told Dumbldore you were helping an old friend into the Castle and now here's the proof.” Snap said to them, “it’s your word against theirs. Who do you think Dumbledore is going to believe when you tell him what happens.” I said to him before Sirius spoke up, “Brilliant Snape, Rosella has a point. Once again you’ve put your keen and penetrating mind to the task and as usual, come to the wrong conclusion. Now if you’ll excuse us, Remus and I have some unfinished business to attend to.” Sirius said to him, “give me a reason I beg you.” Snape said to him, “Come on Seveurs, don’t be a fool.” Professor Lupin said to him before him and Sirius bickered for a moment before Snape spoke up, “well isn’t it you two quarreling like an old married couple.” He said to them, “why don’t you run along and play with your Chemistry set.” Sirius said to him, “I could do it, you know. But why deny the Dementor’s, they’re so longing to see you. Do I detect a flicker of fear? Oh yes, the Dementor’s kiss, one can only imagine what that must be like to endure. It is said to be nearly unbearable to witness but I’ll do my best.” Snape said to Sirius, “my god you’re depressing.” I said to him, “Severus please.” Professor Lupin said to him before Harry pointed a wand at Sirius before he ended up attacking Snape instead. After Harry attacked Professor Snape, we were all shocked before Ron spoke up, “Harry, what did you just do?” He asked him, “Harry, you attacked a teacher.” Hermione said to him, “says the one who set Snape’s cloak on fire in the First Year.” I said to her and she looked defeated a little before Harry spoke up to the other’s, “tell me about Peter Pettigrew?” he asked them, “he was at school with us. We thought he was our friend” Professor Lupin said to us, “no, Pettigrew’s dead. You killed him.” Harry said to them, “no he didn’t, I thought so too until you and Rosella mentioned seeing Pettigrew on the map.” Professor Lupin said to Harry, “The Map was lying then.” Harry suggested, “the Map never lies.” Sirius said, “No doubt you made sure of it too.” I said to them, “correct. Pettigrew’s alive and he’s right there.” Sirius said as he pointed towards Ron, “me? It’s mental.” Ron said to him, “not you, your rat.” Sirius said to him, “Scabbers has been in my family for-” Ron began to say before Sirius cut him off, “12 years. Curiously long life for a common Garden Rat. he’s missing a toe isn’t he?” Sirius said to him, “So what?” Ron asked, “all they could find of Pettigre was-” Harry began to say before Sirius spoke up, “finger. The dirty coward cut it off so everyone would think that he was dead and then he transformed into a rat.” Sirius said, “show me?” Harry asked him before Sirius tried taking Ron’s rat from him and eventually, he managed to take it out of Ron’s hands before him and Professor Lupin tried getting the rat to turn as it tried running away ad just before the rat could run through the hole of the door, it turned into someone and saw that it was Pettigrew.
