Chapter Eighteen

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
After everything that had happened, Harry, Ron and myself ended up in Dumbledore’s Office as he wanted to talk to us about what had happened the night before, “the three of you realize, of course, that in the past few hours you have broken perhaps a dozen school rules.” Dumbldore said to us, “yes sir.” we said to him, “there is sufficient evidence to have the three of you expelled.” he said, “yes sir.” We said again, “Therefore, it is only fitting that the three of you receive special awards for services to the school.” Dumbledore said, “you’re joking?” I questioned and he shook his head, “thanks sir.” Ron said to him, “and now Mr. Weasley, if you would have an Owl deliver these release papers to Azkaban. I believe we want our Gamekeeper back.” Dumbledore said to Ron before he left with the papers leaving Harry and I with Dumbledore, “Harry, first I want to thank you. You must have shown me great Loyalty dow in the Chamber. Nothing but that could have called Fawkes to you. And you Rosella, you yet again risked your secret to help them.” he said to us, “well I suppose it was worth it in the end.” I said to him and after a moment, he spoke up to Harry, “second, I sense that something is troubling you. Am I right, Harry?” Dumbledore asked him, “I just- you see sir, I couldn’t help but notice certain things, certain similarities between Tom Riddle and me.” Harry said to him, “I see, well you can speak Parseltongue Harry, why? Because Lord Voldemort can speak Parseltongue. If I’m not mistaken Harry, he transferred some of his powers to you the night he gave you that scar.” Dumbledore told him, “Voldemort Transferred some of his Powers to me?” Harry questioned, “not intentionally, but yes.” Dumbledore said before sitting down at his desk, “so the Sorting Hat was right, I should be in Slytherin.” Harry said to him, “it’s true Harry, you possess many of the qualities that Voldemort himself prizes. Determination, resourcefulness, and if I may say so myself, a certain disregard for the rules. Why then did the Sorting Hat place you in Gryffindor?” Dumbledore said to him, “because he asked it to.” I said to them, “exactly Rosella, exactly. Which makes him different from Voldemort. It is not our abilities that show who we truly are.it is our choices. If you want proof of why you belong in Gryffindor, then I suggest you look more closely at this.” Dumbledore said as he lifted the sword and Harry took it from him, “Godric Gryffindor.” Harry read out, “it would take a true Gryffindor to pull that out of the hat.” Dumbledore said to Harry.

After a moment had passed, we heard someone walk into the room and we turned to look and see that it was Draco’s father Lucius before Harry spoke up, “Dobby? So this is your master? The family you serve are the Malfoy’s.” Harry said to him and I noticed Dobby looked nervous before Lucius walked up to us before moving Harry and I out of the way, “out of my way Potter and Cullen.” he said to us before speaking up to Dumbledore, “so, it’s true? You have returned.” he said to Dumbledor, “when the Governors learned that Arthur Weasley’s daughter was taken into the Chamber they saw fit to summon me back.” Dumbledore told him, “ridiculous” Lucius said, “curiously, Lucius, several of them were under the impression that you would curse their families if they did not agree to suspend me in the first place.” Dumbledore said to him, “how dare you.” Lucus said to him, “I beg your pardon.” Dumbledore said, “my sole concern has always been and will always be the welfare of this school and of course, its students. The culprit has been Identified I presume.” Lucius said, “oh yes.” Dumbledore said, “and? Who was it?” Lucius asked and Dumbledore looked at Harry and myself, “Voldemort.” Dumbledore said and there was a moment of silence before Dumbldore spoke up again, “only this time he chose to act through somebody else. By means of this.” Dumbledore said as he showed the Diary, “I see. Unfortunately our Young Mr. Potter discovered it with some help from Miss. Cullen along the way. In hopes that no more of Lord Voldemort's old school things should find their way into innocent hands. The consequences for the one responsible would be Severe.” Dumbledore said, “well, let us hope that Mr. Potter and his friend will always be around to save the day.” Lucius said as he eventually looked at Harry and I, “don’t worry, we will be.” Harry said to him and after a moment, Lucius spoke up to Dumbledore, “Dumbledore.” he said to him, “come Dobby, we’re leaving.” Lucius said to him before he soon kicked Dobby down the stairs and I flinched a little, “poor thing.” I whispered as they walked out of the room, “sir, I wonder if I could have that?” Harry asked him, “what do you plan on doing with it?” I asked him, “we’re going to free Dobby.” he said to me, “you can do that?” I asked him and he nodded, “yeah, with clothing.” he said to me, “that’s an odd way of freeing an Elf.” I said to him before he took off his sock and I had done the same thing before we put our socks into the Diary before rushing out of the room before we noticed Lucius walking down the hall, “Mr. Malfoy. Mr. Malfoy. I have something of yours.” he said before giving the diary to him, “mine? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Lucius said, “I think you do sir. I think you slipped the Diary into Ginny Weasley’s cauldron that day in Diagon Alley.” Harry said to him, “you do, do you? Why don’t you prove it?” he said as he got closer to us and eventually gave the Diary to Dobby and after a moment, he spoke up to Dobby, “come Dobby.” he said to the Elf before walking away.

After a moment, both Harry and I whispered to Dobby, “open it.” Harry and I said to him and he had done so and saw our socks in the diary before hearing Lucius speak up again, “Dobby.” he called out, “Master has given Dobby socks.” Dobby said, “what, I didn’t give you-” Lucius began to say as he turned around and noticed what Dobby was talking about, “Dobby has presented Dobby with clothes. Dobby is free.” Dobby said before Lucius looked at Harry and I and I smirked a little, “you lost me my servant.” Lucius said before taking out his wand and pointed it at us before he started walking toward Harry and I before Dobby stood in front of us, “you shall not harm Harry Potter and Rosella Cullen.” Dobby said before he did something to Lucius before he could do anything to us and he had gone flying before he landed on his back before he got up, “your parents were meddlesome fools too. Mark my words Potter, one day soon you are going to meet the same sticky end. I’ll make sure the same thing happens to you to Cullen.” he said to us before storming off, “prick.” I said as we watched him leave before Dobby spoke up, “Harry Potter and Rosella Cullen freed Dobby. How can Dobby ever repay them?” He said to us, “Just promise me one thing.” Harry said to him, “anything sir.” Dobby said, “never try to save my life again.” Harry said to him and Dobby smiled a little before I spoke up, “you don’t have to do anything. Just stay out of trouble alright and be happy.” I said to him and he nodded before he left and I sighed a little. After what had happened with Lucius, both Harry and left not long after Dobby and before I could make my way to the Slytherin Common Room, Harry stopped me as he spoke up, “I was wondering what Dumbledore ment about the secret you have.” he said to me, “you’ll find out eventually. Besides, you’re not the only one who wants to know about it.” I said to him and he nodded, “thanks, for helping.” he said to me and I nodded a little, “no problem. You know, it would be nice to be friends.” I said to him, “yeah, I would like that.” he said to me before the both of us went to our Common Rooms for the time being. By the time I made it to the Common Room, I managed to get cleaned up and changed before going to the Great Hall for Breakfast and by the time I had gotten there, I noticed Draco was sitting with Crabbe and Goyle and I walked up to them and sat down next to Draco and talked with him the entire time and it made me forget everything that had happened in the Chamber of Secrets.
