Chapter Two

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
After the Sorting Ceremony was over, everyone was sitting down and talking before someone had gotten everyone’s attention before Dumbledore spoke up, “let the feast begin.” he said before food appeared on the table and I smiled a little as we all started eating together and throughout dinner, I spent most of the time talking to Draco and had a few laughs with him as well as we ate together. After dinner was over for the night, everyone left the Great Hall and made our way to the Common Rooms ad by the time some of us made it to the Slytherin Common Room, the head boy explained where everything was before we all did our own thing for the rest of the night and I continued to hang out with Draco the entire time before it started getting late and the both of us had decided to go to bed for the night along with the others and by the time I walked into my dorm, I met a girl named Pansy and the both of us talked after getting changed and eventually went to bed for the night. When the next day came around, it was the first day of classes and after getting Ready for the day, I made my way out of the Common Room with Draco and the both of us ended up in the Great Hall for Breakfast and talked before making our way to our first class of the day and by the time everyone was there, Professor McGonagall began the class before letting us do the work on our own. After some time had passed, we heard someone enter the class and looked to see that it was Harry and Ron as the both of them rushed into the room before hearing Ron speak up to Harry, “made it. Can you imagine the look on McGonagall's face if we were late?” Ron said to Harry, “you might want to reword everything you just said.” I said to him before Professor McGonagall turned back into herself and both Draco and I chuckled a little, “that was bloody brilliant.” Ron said to her, “thank you for that assessment Mr. Weasley.” she said as the three of them had a short talk before Harry and Ron sat down as we continued with the class. After having Transfiguration, both Draco and I along with Crabbe and Goyal made our way to our next class and we finally made it to Potions class along with the others and waited for Professor Snap to get here and once he did, he had gotten our attention as he spoke up to everyone, “there will be no foolish Wand waving or silly incantations in this class. As such,  don’t expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is Potion Making. However, for those select few who possess the predisposition I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper in Death. Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confident enough to not pay attention.” Snape said before he spoke up to Harry, “Mr. Potter, our new celebrity. Tell me, what would I get if I added Powdered Root of Asphodel to an infusion of Wormwood?” he said to Harry and saw that he shook his head, “you don’t know? Well, let's try again. Where, Mr. Potter, would you look if I asked you to find me a Bezoar?” Snape asked him, “I don’t know sir.” Harry told him, “and what is the difference between Monkshood and Wolfsbane?” Snape asked him, “I don’t know sir.” Harry said to him, “Pity. Clearly Fame isn’t everything, is it Mr. Potter.” Snape said to him before Snape continued with the class.

After the first few classes were over for the day, everyone was in the Great Hall and I was sitting with Draco as the both of us did our work together before we heard something and I smelt something burning before noticing one of the Gryffindor boys with black ash on his face and I chuckled a little before I continued doing what I was doing before until the mail arrived and I noticed a letter drop and I caught it and saw that it was a letter from Carlisle and the other’s and after opening it, I began to read it.

Dear Rosella,

I hope you're doing well and we have found out that you have been sorted into a Slytherin House. We also hope that you’re making some friends and if you did, I hope they’re nice to you. Anyways, if anything happens, let us know alright but until then, we hope to see you for Christmas.

After reading the letter from Esme, I folded it back up and put it with my books before I continued doing some work with Draco and after spending time in the Great Hall, both Draco and I left the Large room and made our way to our next class of the day and w eventually made it outside for Flying Lessons and we waited for Madam Hooch and by the time she made it, she spoke up to everyone, “good afternoon everyone.” She said to us, “Good afternoon Madam Hooch.” We all said to her, “Welcome to your first flying lesson. Well, what are you waiting for? Everyone step up to the left side of their broom stick.” she said and we had done so, “place your right hand over the broom and say up.” she said to us and we all started doing what she said and as soon as I said up, the broom lifted into my hand and I smiled a little before seeing that Ron’s broom smacked him in the face and I chuckled a little and once everyone had managed to get their brooms in thor hands, Madam Hooch spoke up again, “now, once you’ve got a hold of your broom I want you to mount it. And grip it tight, you don’t want to be sliding off the end. When I blow my whistle, I want each of you to kick off from the ground Hard. keep your broom steady. Hover for a moment. Then lean forward slightly and touch back down. On my whistle, three, two” she said and shortly after she had blown her whistle, Neville eventually lost control of his broom before his robe caught on one of the statues before he eventually landed on the ground as we all surrounded him before Madam Hooch rushed over to him before helping him up, “everyone is to keep their feet firmly on the ground while I take Mr. Longbottom to the Hospital Wing, understand? If I see a single broom in the air, the one riding it will find themselves out of Hogwarts before they can say Quidditch.” she said to everyone as she walked away with Neville.

After Madam Hooch left with Neville, Draco spoke up to some of the other Slytherin’s, “did you see his face? Maybe if he remembered to fall on his fat lump would have given this a squeeze, he would have remembered to fall on his fat Arse.” he said to them, “give it here Malfoy.” Harry said to him, “no. I think I’ll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find. How about on the roof.” Draco said to him as he got on his broom and flew before he stopped and spoke up again, “what’s the matter Potter, a bit beyond your reach?” he said to Harry before Hermione spoke up to Harry, “Harry no way, you heard what Madam Hooch said. besides, you don’t even know how to fly.” she said to him, “I don’t think anything you say is going to stop him,” I said to her before Harry flew over to Draco, “what an idiot.” she said and I sighed a little before Draco eventually threw Neville’s Remembrall and Harry flew to catch it before he managed to do so before Harry landed back on the ground and everyone else cheered for him as Draco and myself stayed with the other Slytherin’s who stayed before Hearing Professor McGonagall, “Harry Potter. Come with me.” she said to him before he followed her, “do you think he’s in trouble?” I asked Draco, “possibly.” He said to me and we talked as we waited for Madam Hooch to come back and after some time had passed, Madam Hooch eventually came back and continued with the class. After classes were over for the day, I was doing some homework with Draco before the both of us overheard that Harry had managed to become the Gryffindor’s Seeker, “I can’t believe it.” He said, “I know. to be honest, I kind of thought that he would get in trouble to be honest.” I said to him and the both of us continued to talk about it before we continued to go on with our days. By the time i made it to the Common Room for the time being, I continued to hang out with Draco before I decided to go for a walk and I ended up outside and let out a heavy sigh before feeling my fangs grow and my eyes change and I was surprised that I was able to control everything for so long and after some time had passed, I headed back inside for the night and in doing so, I eventually went to the Great Hall for dinner and sat with Draco the entire time and after dinner was over, everyone left the Great Hall and by the time I made it to the Slytherin Common Room for the night, I sat by the window and just looked at the fish swimming around before I noticed Draco sit down in front of me, “you look like you’re thinking about something.” he said to me, and I shook my head, “no, I was just looking out the window.” I told him and the both of us continued to talk for a while before going to bed for the night.
