Chapter Thirty Three

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
After some time had passed, it was the day of the First Task and after getting ready, I let out a shaky sigh before I left the Common Room and eventually left the Castle as I headed to where the Task was going to be taking place. By the time I had gotten there, I was pacing back and forth in the tent for the Champions before I was brought out of my thought’s when a flash went off and I noticed Rita was here before she spoke up, “Young Love.” she said and looked to see what she was talking about before seeing Hermione with Harry before she walked up to the both of them, “if everything goes unfortunately today, you two may even make the front page.” Rita said to them before Viktor spoke up, “you have no business here. This tent is for Champions and friends.” he said to her, “no matter. We’ve got what we wanted.” she said to him before walking away and not long after another picture was taken before Dumbledore walked in with the other’s, “good day Champions. Gather around please. Now you’ve waited. You’ve wondered and at last the moment has arrived. The moment only Five of you could fully appreciate.” he said to h before he noticed Hermione, “what are you doing here Miss. Granger?” he asked her, “oh um, sorry I’ll just-” she said before she walked away and left the tent before Dumbldore continued, “Barty, the bag.” he said to Mr. Crouch, “Champions, in a circle around me.” he said before he had us go to where he wanted us and I stood in between Cedric and Viktor, “Miss. Delacour, if you will.” he said before he opened the bag before she stuck her hand in it before pulling out something out and saw that it was a Dragon, “the Welsh Green.” he said before it was Viktor’s turn as he pulled out another Dragon, “the Chinese Firebolt, Ooo.” he said before t was my turn, “Miss. Cullen.” he said and I had done the same and pulled out a dragon, “the Antipodean Opaleye.” he said before going to Cedric as he ended up with the Swedish Short Snout and Harry ended up with the Hungarian Horntail, “these represent five very real Dragons. Each of which has been given a golden Egg to protect. Your objective is simple, collect the egg. This you must do for each egg contains a clue without which you cannot hope to Proceed to the next task. Any questions.” Mr. Crouch said to us and no one said anything before Dumbledore spoke up, “very well, good luck Champions. Mr. Diggory, at the sound of the cannon-” he said and before he could finish, the cannon had gone off causing me to jump a little before Cedric got ready before he eventually walked out of the tent to start and I waited with the other’s as we had gone one by one.

After some time had passed, it was finally my turn and I let out a shaky sigh before I eventually walked out of the tent to see nothing before the dragon appeared and I moved back a little and thought about what to do before I managed to use my wand and tired getting past the Dragon. After a while had passed, I finally got the Egg and let out a heavy sigh before I left and sat with the other Champions before Cedric spoke up to me, “you did good out there” he said to me, “thanks, you did pretty good yourself.” I said to him before it was time for Harry to fight his dragon to get his egg and not long after he walked out, his dragon appeared and he tried getting his egg before he got on his broom and flew away and his dragon followed him. After some time had passed, Harry finally appeared and managed to get the egg and everyone started cheering for him. After the Task was over, everyone had made it back to the Castle and not long after I had gotten to the Slytherin Common Room after visiting the Hospital Wing, everyone started cheering shortly after I walked in and I smiled a little before I felt a couple of older students lift me up on their shoulders before everyone started asking me to open the egg before someone handed it over, “go on Rosella, open it.” Pansy said to me, “are you sure?” I asked her and she nodded and as soon as I opened it, a screeching sound came from it before I quickly closed it after the older student’s dropped me on the ground, “let’s not do that again.” I mentioned and everyone agreed and I sighed a little before I went to my dorm to get some clothes to change into before I decided to take a shower and get cleaned up. After a while, everyone had gone to the Great Hall for dinner and by the time I had gotten there with Draco and the others, I spent some time thinking about the task from earlier and I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard Pansy speak up, “you did good today” she said to me, “thanks. I’m just glad I was able to get through it in the end.” I told her and the both of us continued to talk throughout the rest of dinner until it was over and everyone had left the Great Hall and went back to their Common Rooms for the night and I continued to spend time with Pansy as the both of us talked the entire time. Later that night, I was the only one sitting in the Common Room thinking about everything and how my name could have gotten into the Goblet of Fire in the first place before I was brought out of my thought’s when I noticed someone sit down next to me and saw that it was Draco, “are you alright?” he asked me and I nodded a little, “yeah, I’ll be fine. I was just thinking, that’s all.” I told him, “are you still thinking about the whole name thing?” he asked me and I nodded, “I just don’t understand. Why would someone do it in the first place?” I told him, “I’m not sure but I am sure that you or someone else will figure it out but in the meantime, just relax and focus on getting through this alright.” he said to me and I let out a heavy sigh and nodded, “alright.” I said and he both of us continued to talk before we decided to go to bed for the night and as soon as my head touched the pillow, I quickly fell asleep that night.

It was the next day and I was sitting in the Great Hall having Breakfast with Draco as the both of us talked the entire time and it made me forget about everything for the time being and after having breakfast, we left the Great Hall and went to our first class of the day and we went on with our days. After classes were over for the day, we found out that Professor Snape wanted  the Slytherin’s to met for something and I began to wonder what was going on as Draco and myself went to where Professor Snape wanted us to be and by the time we had gotten there, Snap had divided the girls and boys and eventually, Professor Explained why we were here in the first place, “the reason why I have asked you to come here is that I am required to make sure you all know how to dance. That reason being, the Yule Ball. the Yule Ball is a dance that is traditional during the TriWizard Tournament and I expect each and every one of you know the dance.” he explained to us before he continued, “who would like to b the first to demonstrate?” he asked and no one did anything before Snape spoke up again, “Malfoy, Cullen.” he said and the both of us stood up and walked up to each other before some of the boys whistled before Snape told us what to do before he had everyone started dancing with each other for a while as we practiced for a while. After dance practise was over, we all went to the Common Room and once we had gotten there, I had gotten some homework done before I started to think about the Yule Ball and what it was going to be like before I jumped a little when I felt someone touch my shoulder and saw that it was Draco, “you scared me.” I said to him before he sat down in front of me, “sorry about that. I didn’t mean to.” he said to me, “it’s alright.” I told him, “how do you feel about the Yule Ball?” he asked me, “I don’t know. It’s kind of odd to have something like this  to be a part of a Tournament.” I told him, “if you think about it that way, I suppose it is.” he said to me and the both of us continued to talk about it for a while and I began to hope that he would ask me to go with him and after some time had passed, I spent the rest of my time reading before going to bed for the night.
