Chapter Twenty Seven

After seeing Ron’s Rat turn into Peter Pettigrew, I stood there in shock before they dragged Pettigrew out of the door and to his feet before he spoke up, “Remus. Sirius. My old friends.” Pettigrw said before he tried getting away before Sirius and Professor Lupin managed to stop him from doing so before he looked at Harry, “Harry, look at you. You look so much like your father, like James. We were the best of friends.” he said to Harry, “how dare you speak to Harry.” Sirius began to say to Pettigrew before I grabbed him by his jacket and pulled him away, “how dare you talk about James in front of him.” Sirius said to Pettigrew as he hid behind the piano that was in the room, “you sold James and Lily to Voldemort didn’t you?” Professor Lupin asked him, “I didn’t mean to.  The Dark Lord, you have no Idea th weapons he possesses. As yourself, Sirius, what would you have done?  What would you have done? Pettigrew said to them, “I would have died. I would have died rather than betray my friends.” Sirius said to him before Pettigrew crawled under the Piano before Harry blocked the doorway, “Harry, your father wouldn’t have wanted me killed.  Your dad, your dad would spare me.” Pettigrew said to Harry before Sirius and Professor Lupin pulled him away from Harry, “you should have realized Peter that if Voldemort didn’t kill you, we would, together.” Sirius said to him and before they could do anything, Harry spoke up, “no.” he said to them, “Harry, his man-” Professor Lupin began to say before Harry cut him off, “I know what he is. But we’ll take him to the Castle.” Harry said to them, “Bless you boy. Bless you.” Peter said to Harry, “I think you misunderstood. It didn’t sound like you were getting off the hook Pettigrew.” I said to him, “Get off. She’s right, I said we'd take you to the Castle after that, the Dementors could have you.” Harry said to him, “to be honest, I hope they kill you.” I said to him before we all left the Shrieking Shack and I helped Sirius with Ron, “sorry about the bite. I reckon that twinges a little.” Sirius said to Ron, “a bit? A bit? You almost tore my leg off.” Ron said to him, “stop being dramatic. You’ll be fine.” I said to him “well I was going for the rat. Normally, I have a very sweet disposition as a dog. In fact more than once James suggested that I make the change permanent. The tail I could live with but the fleas, they’re murder.” Sirius said to us as we continued to make our way out.

By the time we made it out of the Shrieking Shack, both Sirius and I set Ron down as Hermione and Harry knelt on either side of him, “you better go.” Ron said to Harry and I looked at what he was talking about before I noticed Sirius looking out to the Castle, “no, don’t worry it’s fine, I’ll stay.” Harry said, “you go, we’ll stay.” Hermione said to him, “you ok?” Harry asked him and Ron nodded, “I’m fine, go.” he said to Harry ad both Hermione and I checked on his leg ad the both of them talked about it before Hermione spoke up to me, “about the Werewolf thing, I hope you’re alright with me knowing.” she said to me, “it’s fine. It was bound to happen anyways.” I told her before I decided to tell her the rest of it, “although, there’s more to it than that. I’m also a Vampire.” I told her, “what do you mean? They don’t exist.” she said, “to other people yes and we’d like to keep it like that. I’m what some call a Tribrid. I’m all three. Witch, Vampire and Werewolf. I’ve never met my parents or know who they are.” I told her, “I’m sorry.” she said to me, “it’s alright. It’s all in the past. At last I have a family now that took me in all those years ago.” I told her before Pettigrew came up to us and tried speaking to Ron before he was pulled away by Professor Lupin, “sorry about your rat. I know it's a lot to take in.” I said to Ron, “it’s alright.” he said to me and we continued to talk for a bit. After some time had passed, Hermione had gotten Harry’s attention before she pointed to the sky and the clouds soon revealed the full moon, “bloody hell.” I whispered to myself before Sirius grabbed me by the shoulder’s, “has he taken his potion tonight?” he asked me, “I don’t know. Most of the time, He takes it before he gets here.” I told him before he rushed over to Professor Lupin and tried to hold him back just in case before we noticed Pettigrew trying to get away but when Harry had done something about it, he was too late as Peter had soon turned back into his Animagus form before he ran off and the three of them stayed together before I backed away before I turned into my wolf form and later helped Sirius before Professor Lupin before Sirius and I ended up fighting Professor Lupin and tried keeping him away from the other’s before I felt something bite me causing me to stop for a moment before I continued until Professor Lupin overpowered Sirius and myself causing me to eventually black out.

After a while had passed, I began to wake up and soon found myself in the Hospital Wing and slowly sat up before Madam Pomfrey came over to me, “how do you feel dear?” she asked me, “could be worse but other than that, a little sore.” I said to her, “I heard your friends know about your background.” she said to me and I nodded, “yeah, they do.” I said to her, “alright then, take this for your wounds so they could heal quicker.” she said to me before I took it and drank the blood before giving the vial back to her before she walked away, “what was it that she just gave you?” Hermione asked, “I’m afraid it might get Ron sick if I said what it was.” I said to her, “I doubt it.” He said, “it was blood.” I told them, “You weren’t joking about the Tribrid weren’t you?” she asked and I shook my head, “no, I was telling the truth. Besides, the blood helps with the wounds.” I asked her, “Is it Human?” Ron asked and I shook my head, “no, animal. Although I don’t have to have it I mainly just use it to make the wounds heal quicker” I told them before I noticed Hermione checking them out, “they’re nearly healed.” she mentioned, “bloody hell, that’s brilliant.” Ron said and I chuckled a little, “yeah, in a way it can sound pretty cool but there’s a dimmer side of it.” I told them, “how so?” Hermione asked, “Well, the thing is, with the whole Vampire thing, there is a group of people that keep things in check and make sure the humans don’t know. But if they find out that I exist, they’ll most likely hunt me down and kill me. Can you promise to keep all of this to yourselves? Especially you Ronald.” I said to them, “I promise.” Hermione said, “I promise.” Ron said before we noticed Harry started to wake up and Hermione went over to him, “Harry?” Hermione said to him, “I saw my dad.” was the first thing Harry said, “what?” Hermione and I questioned, “he sent the Demntor’s away. I saw him across the lake.” Harry said, “listen Harry, they’ve captured Sirius. Any minute the Dementors are going to perform the Kiss.” Hermione told him, “you mean they’re going to kill him?” Harry questioned as he quickly got up, “No it’s worse, much worse. They're going to suck out his soul.” Hrmione said, “That's still killing him.” I said to her before the doors to the Hospital Wing opened and Dumbldore walked through, “Headmaster, you’ve got to stop them. They’ve got the wrong man.” Hermione told him, “it’s true sir. Sirius is innocent.” Harry mentioned, “it’s Scabbers who did it.” Ron said, “Scabbers?” Dumbldore questioned, “it’s my Rat sir. He's not really a Rat. well he was a rat, he was my brother Percy’s Rat. but then they gave him an Owl.” Ron tried saying, “the Rat was an Animagus.” I mentioned, “which is we know the truth. Please believe us.” Hermione told him, “I do Miss. Granger but I’m sorry to say that the words of four 13 year old Wizards will convince few others.” Dumbledore said before he walked over to Ron before he continued, “a child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who have forgotten how to listen.” he said and I winced a little when he tapped on Ron’s foot before it looked like he noticed something before walking away from Ron before speaking up again, “Mysterious thing time. Powerful and when muddled with, dangerous. Sirius Black is in the top most cell of the Dark Tower. You know the laws Miss. Granger, you must not be seen and you will do well I fell to return before this last chime. If not, the consequences are too ghastly to discuss. If you succeed tonight, more than one innocent life may be spared. Three turns should do it I think.” Dumbledore said to them before walking away and before he closed the doors completely, he soon spoke up again, “oh, by the way when in doubt I find retracing my steps to be a wise place to begin. Good luck.” he said before leaving.
