Chapter Seventy One: Final

Time had passed and it was finally the day that we were supposed to meet with the Volturi and I had gotten worried as we got ready and after doing so, I just stood there for a moment thinking about everything as it surfaced memories of the war with Voldemort before I was brought out of my thought’s by Draco as I felt him rest his hand on my shoulder, “everything will be alright” he told me, “what if they see her as a threat? What if they take her away from us?” I asked, “they will not take her away from us, I will make sure of that I swear to you.” he told me before hugging me, “then we’re on the same page? We will do the same for her and Renesmee.” Edward said to us and all I could do was nod before we all left the camp site and made our way to where we were supposed to meet with the Volturi.

By the time we had gotten there, I held onto Draco’s hand as we eventually stood there waiting for a while before they finally walked past the trees and had gotten closer before seeing they had a what remains of the Death Eaters with them as well as the Wolves eventually showed up before the Volturi had stopped walking. Shortly after, Carlisle was the first to speak up, “Aro, let us discuss things as we used to. In a civilized manner.” He said to him, “fair words Carlisle. But a little out of place considering the battalion you’ve assembled against us, especially that one with whom we have unfinished business with.” Aro told him as he pointed at me, “I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken and your business with Rosella is over. She has done nothing but fight against you once already to live. That matter has been long dealt with when she had beaten you.” Carlisle told him, “he is right, we are not here for her, we are here for the child before us.” Ciaus said to Aro before speaking to Carlisle, “we see the child. Do not treat us as fools.” Ciaus said to Carlisle, “she is not an immortal. These witnesses can attest to that. You can look, see the flesh of human blood in her cheeks.” Carlisle told them before Ciaus spoke up before Aro stopped him, “I will collect every asset of the truth from someone more central to the story. Edward, as the child clings to your newborn mate. I assume you are involved.” Aro said before Edward eventually walked up to him. After some time had passed, he had asked for Renesmee and after they had taken a few steps, Edward had looked at me before I looked at Draco before he nodded and both Emmett and myself had gone with them as we walked up to Aro and in doing I held onto my wand just incase before he had spoken up, “ahh, young Bella. Immortality becomes you.” he said to her, “I hear a strange Heart.” he spoke again before Renesmee walked up to him and eventually showed him everything she remembers since the day she was born. After a few moments, Aro eventually spoke up, “Half Mortal. Half Immortal. Conceived and carried by this newborn while she was still human.” Aro said to the others, “Impossible” Ciaus said, “do you think they fooled me brother?” Aro questioned as we walked away and went back to the others.

After a few moments, Ciaus had asked to bring up the person who had informed them of what had happened only to see that it was Irina before he started questioning her, “is that the child you saw?” he asked, “I’m not sure.” she told him and Jane was about to do something before Irina spoke up again, “she’s changed. This child is bigger.” she told him, “then your allegations were false?” he questioned, “the Cullens are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake.” she said and before we knew it, they had killed her causing her sisters to get angry and some of the others managed to stop them from attacking. After a while, Jane had started doing something to Edward before Bella managed to form a shield around us causing Janes abilities to have no effect on Edward anymore and after a few moments, Carlisle had spoken up, “Aro, you see there is no law broken here.” he said to Aro, “Agreed but does it then follow that there is no danger, especially with this one and her Daughter to whom I’ve only just been informed about through the young child's memories.” he said and I had grown worried as he continued, “for the first time in our history Humans pose a threat to our kind. Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us. Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative in such perilous times, only the known is safe. Only the known is tolerable and we know nothing of what the children may become. Can we live with such uncertainty? Spare ourselves a fight today only to die tomorrow.” he said to everyone and before anyone could say or do anything else, we noticed something and saw that it was Alice and Jasper as they walked passed everyone before they were stopped by some of Aro’s men before he had spoken up, “my dear, dear Alice we’re so glad to see you here after all.” he said to her, “I have evidence that the child won’t be a risk to our kind. Let me show you.” she said to him before they let her go and she soon held out her hand and he began seeing everything. After a short while, she spoke up, “it doesn’t matter what I show you. Even when you see you still won’t change your decision.” she said as she pulled her hand away before saying something to Bella and I began to see something in Alice’s mind as I noticed that she had already seen what would happen. After Jacob had left with Renesmee, Alice was the first to hit Aro causing him to go flying before he landed on his feet, “I’m assuming that’s a bad move?” Draco asked, “yeah, but I’ve done worse believe it or not.” I said to him before Alice had been held back causing Carlisle to get Angry, “LET HER GO.” he said before rushing to help her only for something to happen and soon saw that his head had been removed from his body.
