Chapter Thirty Four

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
As time went on, the weather was getting colder and people were already starting to ask who they wanted to take to the Ball and I continued to hope that Draco would ask me and one day, we were in the Great Hall along with most of the others doing our work together before I felt something hit my head and I looked up to see Draco looking at me, “what?” I asked him, “can I talk to you after this? I want to ask you something.” He said to me, “alright. Sure.” I said to him before I began to wonder what he wanted to talk about ad thought about it for a while as I managed to get my Work done and gave it to Snape and Draco had done the same before the both of us left the Great Hall and not long after, Draco had spoken up, “so, what I wanted to ask was, do you want to go to the Ball with me?” he asked and I smiled before speaking up, “I would love to.” I said to him and my smile grew as he had a smile on his face as well and the both of us continued to talk as we walked around before we eventually made it to the Common Room for the time being and I had gone to my Dorm to put my things away for the time being and after doing so, Pnsy walked into the room, “so, do you have a date yet for the Ball?” she asked me as she put her stuff away, “yeah I do, he just asked me not too long ago.” I told her, “Ooo, who is it? Who’s the lucky one?” she asked me as she got excited, “Draco.” I told her, “I was kind of hoping for that. The two of you have been spending most of your time with him since First Year.” she told me, “oh please.” I said to her, “I’m serious. It’s like you’re attached at the hip or something.” she said to me and the both of us laughed a little, “anyways, has anyone asked you yet?” I asked her, “yeah, Blaise did yesterday. I said yes.” she said to me and the both of us continued to talk about it for a while before walking out of our dorm and hung out with the others for a while before going to the Great Hall for dinner that night. Later that night, I eventually made it back to the Common Room with the others after having dinner and I spent most of the night thinking about the Yule Ball and I smiled a little before I was brought out of my thought’s when Draco called my name and I looked at him, “what are you thinking about?” he asked me, “the Ball. just wondering what it will be like.” I told him before noticing that we were the only ones in the Common Room, “I’m sure you’re not the only one.” he said to me and there was a moment of silence before he spoke up again, “I’m really glad that you said yes.” he said to me, “I’m really glad you asked. To be honest, I was kinda hoping you would.” I told him, “really?” he asked and I nodded, “yeah” I told him and the both of us continued to talk about it for a while before we decided to go to bed for the night and after I walked into my dorm and got changed, I quickly fell asleep not long after getting into bed for the night.

When another day came around, it was finally a weekend and I was planning to go to Hogsmeade with the others and after getting ready for the day, I met with everyone in the Common Room before we eventually left and made our way to Hogsmeade not long after we walked out of the Castle. By the time we had gotten there, I spent most of my time with Draco and the other’s before I noticed Alice and Rose before I rushed over to them and hugged the both of them, “what are you two doing here?” I asked them, “we came to give you something and wanted to make sure that you are doing alright.” Alice said to me, “yeah, Carlisle and Esme have been talking about everything non-stop.” Rose mentioned, “I don’t blame them. I’m still kind of wrapping my head around it myself.” I said to her, “Anyways, we wanted to give you this. It’s a dress we picked out after finding out about the Yule Ball.” Alice said to me, “thanks.” I said, “so, anywhere in particular you want to do or where to go?” Rose asked me and I shrugged a little, “not really no.” I told her and I spent the entire trip with both of them and had a good time with them. After spending time in Hogsmeade, it was time to leave and by the time we made it back to the Castle, I put away the dress Rose and Alice had gotten for me and after doing so, I spent some time in the Common Room before going to the Great Hall for dinner and spent most of the time talking with Draco and the other’s the entire time before dinner was over and we all left along with the other’s and eventually made it back to the Common Room for the night and by the time we had gotten there, I had gotten changed into something comfortable and spent most of the time reading before I ended up falling asleep on the couch. Later that night, I had woken up from the nightmare causing me to quickly sit up as I was breathing heavily before I calmed down a little before closing the book I had and just sat there for a moment to gather my thoughts before I got up and made my way to my dorm and quietly walked in and got into bed before I laid there, wide awake thinking to myself as I thought about what the Graveyard ment before I stated to grow tired and decided to fall asleep again that night.

The Ball finally came around and I was getting ready with Pansy in our Dorm and helped each other out with our hair as well and once we were done, the both of us left our Dorm before leaving the Common Room and we made our way to the Great Hall.

By the time we had gotten there, I soon walked up to Draco and smiled a little, “you look beautiful” he said to me, “thanks. You don’t look too bad yourself.” I said to him before Professor McGonagall walked up to us, “good you’re here. I presume you know about being the first to dance along with the other Champions?” she asked me and I nodded, “good, go and join the others and their dates.” she said and Draco and I found Viktor and the others before everyone else walked into the Great Hall and myself along with the others lined up before the doors opened and we soon walked in and walked onto the dancefloor before I noticed Esme and Carlisle were here before getting ready to dance and as soon as the music started, we started dancing and I couldn’t help but smile the entire time before more people walked onto the dancefloor and joined in on the dancing. After some time had passed, both Draco and I walked off the dancefloor to get something to drink and cool off a little and I walked up to Carlisle and Esme, “what are you guys doing here? Did Dumbledore invite you two or something?” I asked them, “yeah he did actually. It does look great though.” Carlisle said, “yeah, it looks beautiful.” Esme said before we noticed Draco walked up to us and gave me the drink before I took a sip, “so you must be Draco.” Carlisle asked and he nodded, “yes sir. It’s nice to meet you sir.” Draco said to him, “you as well. And please, call me Carlisle.” Carlisle said to him, “well, we’ll leave you two alone.” Esme said before she walked away with Carlisle, “so he’s your father?” he asked and I nodded, “yeah, adoptive father.” I told him, “you’re adopted?” he asked and I nodded, “how come?” he asked me, “it’s a long story for another day.” I told him, “alright.” he said and the both of us continued to talk for a while before we got back on the dancefloor and continued to have fun. After some time had passed, a slow song came on and both Draco and I along with a few others started slow dancing with each other for a while and I smiled the entire time as it felt nice to be close to Draco like this. After a while, the both of us decided to leave the Great Hall before bumping into Carlisle and Esme, “we were just looking for you” Esme said to me, “everything alright?” I asked her, “everything is fine, we just wanted to let you know that we’re heading home.” Carlisle said to me and I nodded, “alright. It was nice to see you here.” I said to them before hugging the both of them before they left.
