Chapter Twenty Five

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
After some time had passed, spring finally came around and I overheard Draco talking about Hagrid’s Hearing and I decided to go and see Hagrid to se hou he was doing and just before I could leave the Castle, I bumped into Harry, Ron and Hermione, “hey, where are you guys headed?” I asked them, “we’re going to see Hagid.” Harry told me, “me too.” I told him before hearing Hermione and Ron arguing with each other, “what are they bickering at each other for?” I asked him, “Ron thinks Hermione’s cat, Crookshanks, had eaten his Rat.” He told me, “oh.” I said before Ron spoke up to us, “Harry, Rosella you’ve seen the way that blood thirsty beast of hers is always lurking about. Scabbers is gone.” he said to us, “well maybe you should learn to take better care of your pets.” Hermione told him, “your cat killed him.” Ron said to her and I sighed a little, “is it always like this between the both of them?” I asked Harry, “sometimes.” he told me as we continued to make our way to Hagrid’s and by the time we had gotten there, the four of us soon found him in the lake and went to make sure that he was alright before Hermione spoke up, “how did it go Hagrid? The Hearing?” She asked him, “well, first off the Committee Members took turns talking about why we were there. And then I got up and did my piece, I said how Buckbeak was a good Hippogriff. Always cleaned his feathers. And then Lucius Malfoy got up, well you can Imagine, he said Bckbeak was a deadly and dangerous creature who would kill you as soon as he looked at you.” Hagrid said to us, “and then?” Hermione asked, “then he asked for the worst, did old Lucius.” Hagrid said, “they’re not sacking you?” Ron asked him, “sure as hell hope not.” I said to them, “No I’m not sacked. Buckeak’s been sentenced to death.” Hagrid said to us and I felt bad for him knowing he cared for Buckbeak and the four of us continued to spend time with Hagrid to make sure that he was going to be alright before it was getting late and the four of us decided to head back to the Castle, “I wish we could do something for Hagrid.” I said to them, “you’re not the only one.” Hermione said to me and I continued to hang out with them for a while longer. By the time we made it back to the Castle, I said goodbye to the others for the time being and made my way to the Slytherin Common Room for the time being and by the time I had gotten there, I spent some time getting some homework doe before Draco sat down in front of me, “what are you doing?” he asked me, “just finished with some homework. How about you?” I said to him, “I just finished mine a little while ago. How was your day?” he said to me, “it was good. I decided to go and visit Hagrid.” I told him, “why would you want to go and visit that Oaf?” he asked me, “why shouldn’t I? He’s a nice person and I happen to like him. Besides, I wanted to see how he was doing considering he had a Hearing about Buckbeak earlier today.” I told him, “did he say what they were going to do with that chicken?” he asked, “they’re going to kill Buckbeak no thanks to your father.” I told him, “after what it did to you, I’d say good riddance.” Draco said to me, “well if it wasn’t for you, Buckbeak wouldn’t have done what he did in the first place.” I told him before closing my books and gathering my things and went to my dorm for the time being.

Later that night, we had just gotten back to the Common Room from dinner and I was sitting on the couch reading a book before I felt someone sit down next to me ad I looked to see that it was Draco before I continued reading, “I’m sorry about earlier.” he said to me, “I’m surprised you’re apologizing. You never Apologize to anyone.” I told him, “you’re an exception.” he said and I sighed a little, “look, I know you don’t fancy a lot of people but it would be nice if you kept a lot of it to yourself every now and again.” I told him, “I’ll try.” he said to me and the both of us continued to talk for a while longer before it had gotten late and the both of us had gone to bed for the night and once I walked into my dorm for the night, I got changed and soon got into bed and as soon as my head touched the pillow, I quickly fell asleep that night after some time had passed, I had woken up and couldn’t go back to sleep and I decided to slip out of the Common Room and eventually bumped into Harry causing the both of us to jump a little, “sorry about that” I said to him, “it’s alright.” he said before he noticed something and got rid of the light. Not long after, the light came back on and soon saw that it was Snape, “Potter. Cullen. What are the two of you wandering the corridors at night?” he asked us, “I couldn't fall back asleep.” I told him, “I was sleepwalking.” Harry told him, “extraordinary like your father, Potter.h to was exceedingly arrogant. Strutting about the Castle.” Snape said to him, “sounds a lot like you if you think about it.” I told him, “my dad didn’t strut and nor do I. Now if you don’t mind, we would appreciate it if you could lower your wand.” Harry said to him, “turn out your pockets.” he said to Harry but he didn’t do anything, “turn out your pockets.” Snape said again before Harry did what he said, “what’s this?” he asked Harry, “what does it look like?” I said to him, “spare bit of Parchment.” Harry told him, “really? Open it.” Snape said to him and Harry unfolded it, “reveal your secrets.” Snape said before something appeared on the Parchment before Snape asked Harry to read it, “Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs offer their compliments to Professor Snape and-” Harry began to say before he stopped, “go on.” Snape said to him before Harry continued, “and requested that he keep abnormally large noses out of other people’s business.” Harry said and I chuckled a little, “why you insolent little-” Snape said before he was cut off before seeing Professor Lupin, “Professor.” he said getting Snape’s attention, “well, well Lupin. Out for a little walk in the moonlight are we.” Snap said to him, “Harry, Rosella. You two alright?” Professor Lupin asked us, “never better.” I said to him, “that remains to be seen. I have just now confiscated a rather curious artifact from Mr. Potter and Miss. Cullen. Take a look, Lupin. It’s supposed to be your area of expertise. Clearly, it’s full of Dark Magic.” Snape said to him, “I seriously doubt it, Severus. It looks to me as though it's merely a Parchment designed to insult anyone who tries to read it. I suspect it’s a Zonko product. Nevertheless I shall investigate any hidden qualities it may possess. It is, after all, as you say my area of expertise.” Professor Lupin said to Snape, “Harry, Rosella would the both of you come with me.” he said to us and we soon followed him.

By the time we made it to Professor Lupin’s classroom before he spoke up again, “now I haven’t the faintest Idea Harry and Rosella how this Map Came to be in your possession and quite frankly I am astounded that you didn’t hand it in.” Professor Lupin said to us, “she never had it sir. She didn’t know about it until now.” Harry said to him, “didn’t it ever occur to you that this in the hands of Sirius Black is a Map to you?” Professor Lupin said to him and Harry just shook his head, “you know, your father never set much in store for the Rules either but h and your mother gave their lives to save yours and gambling away their sacrifice by wandering around the Castle, unprotected with a killer on the loose seems to be a pretty poor way to repay them. Now I will not cover up for either of you again, do you hear me.” he said and the both of us nodded, “yes sir” we both said, “now I want you both to return to your dormitories and stay there.” Professor Lupin said before the both of us turned around and walked away before he spoke up again, “and don’t take any detours. If you do, I shall know.” he said to us and before we continued, Harry stopped again and said something, “Professor, just so you know, I don’t think that map always works. Earlier on it showed someone in the castle. Someone I know to be dead.” Harry said to Professor Lupin, “really, who might that be?” he asked Harry, “Peter Pettigrew.” Harry said to him, “That's not Possible.” Professor Lupin said to him, “it’s true, I managed to get a glimpse of it before Snape caught us.” I told him, “it's just what I saw” Harry told him before the both of us left the room, “do you think it’s telling the truth? Do you really think that he might be alive?” I asked him, “I don’t know.” he said and the both of us split up and I managed to make it back to the Slytherin Common Room for the rest of the night and I soon walked into my dorm trying not to wake anyone up and I managed to get back to sleep later that night. When another day came around, I had gotten up and got ready for the day, I left the Common Room with Draco and the others and made it to the Great Hall for Breakfast and after having Breaking, w all left the Great Hall and went to class and by the time I had gotten to Divination, I sat down with another Slytherin as we wr learning about Crystal Gazing and after a few moments we noticed that something was up with Hermione as she walked out of the room and we all began to wonder what was wrong before Professor Trelawney continued with the class.
