Chapter Thirty Six

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
It was another day and the Third and Final Task was coming up soon as the Weather was getting warmer and the snow was melting and I decided to go for a walk to clear my head of everything for the time being and after a while of walking aimlessly, I ended up bumping into Harry, “sorry.” I said to him, “it’s alright. How are you doing?” he said as the both of us ended up walking together, “alright I guess, how about you?” I said to him, “same.” he said and before we could finish a door opened to reveal Professor Snape and Igor causing the both of us to stop in our tracks before they noticed us, “sorry. We weren’t trying to eavesdrop or anything.” I said to them and Igor just walked out and left without saying a word and not long after, Harry and I were about to do the same before Snape called us, “Potter. Cullen. What’s your hurry?” he asked us, “nothing. Why do you care?” I said to him and he just looked at me before speaking up to Harry, “Congratulations, your performance in the Black Lake was inspiring. Gillyweed, am I correct?” he said to Harry, “yes sir.” Harry said to him, “ingenious.” Snape said before walking into his store room before he spoke up again, “a rather rare herb, Gillyweed. It’s not something found in your everyday garden. Nor is this. Know what it is?” he said as he showed us something, “Bubble Juice sir.” Harry answered, “not even close. It’s Veritaserum.” I mentioned, “Miss. Cullen is correct, it’s Veritaserum.  Three drops of this and You-Know-Who himself would spill his deepest, darkest secrets. The use of it on a student is, regretfully, forbidden. However, should you ever steal from my personal stores again, my hand might just slip over your morning Pumpkin Juice.” he said to us, “I haven’t stolen anything.” Harry told him, “what makes you think we took anything from you?” I asked him, “don’t lie to me. Gillyweed may be innocuous but Boomslang Skin. Lacewing Flies. You and your little friends are brewing Polyjuice Potion and believe me I’m going to find out why.” he said to us and I managed to stop him from closing the door before I spoke up, “you don’t have any proof we’ve done or taken anything or so help me god if you continue to blame us for things we didn’t do, I will do things to you that others will think it was an animal who’d done it to you.” I said to him and I walked away before hearing Harry catch up to me, “do you really mean what you said back there?” he asked me, “no. I was hoping to scare him actually.” I said to him, “I think it might have worked then a little.” he said to me and I smirked a little, “good. Besides, have you taken all of that stuff he said?” I said to him, “no I haven’t. Have you?” h said to me, “nope. He’s probably just looking for someone else to blame like he always does.” I said to him and the both of us continued to walk around as we talked about everything before we decided to go back to our Common Rooms for the night.

I eventually made it back to the Common Room for the night and after walking in, I sat down for a bit and read before Draco sat down next to me, “how are you doing?” he asked me, “alright. How about you?” I said to him, “I’m alright. I’m more worried about you.” he said to me, “I’ll be fine. You don’t have to worry about me too much.” I said to him, “I know but I feel like I have to.” he said to me and I smiled a little, “and I’m grateful for that.” I told him and the both of us continued to talk for a while before we had gotten tired and decided to go to bed for the night and after walking into my dorm and getting into bed, I quickly fell asleep as soon as my head touched the Pillow. It was another day and it was the day before the Third and Final Task and I was getting nervous as I hadn’t been getting much sleep because of it and I stopped pacing when I noticed Draco standing in front of me, “are you willing to relax a little?” He asked me, “I’ll try.” I said to him before he held me by the shoulders and looked at me, “relax.” he said and I tried relaxing a little before he hugged me and it worked a little as I hugged him back, “I’m scared” I said to him, “I don’t blame you. I would be to if my name came out of the Goblet of Fire out of nowhere.” he said to me and we just continued to hug each other for a while longer before the both of us spent some time together before going to the Great Hall for dinner that night and by the time we had gotten there, the both of us spent the entire time talking about everything as we ate together. By the time dinner was over for the night, everyone had left the Great Hall for the night and made our way to our Common Rooms and by the time I had gotten to the Slytherin Common Room for the night and continued to spend time with Draco for a while before we all started heading to our dorms for the night and after getting into bed, I quickly fell asleep. Later that night, I had woken up from another nightmare in a sweat before I decided to go down to the Common Room for a while and thought about it before realizing that it seemed a little more different then the last one and thought about what it was before remembering that Aro was in the dream this time and it worried me before I jumped a little when I felt someone touch my shoulder and I looked to see that it was Draco and I sighed a little, “are you alright?” he asked as he sat down next to me on the couch, “a little I guess.” I said to him, “you’re worried about something. What is it?” he asked me and I sighed a little, “there was something new about my dreams.” I said to him, “and what’s that?” he asked me, “you wouldn’t understand. Besides, it’s something that I’m not ready to tell you about yet.” I told him, “alright then. You can talk to me about it when you’re ready.” he said to me and I nodded and smiled a little, “thanks for understanding.” I said to him, “no problem.” he said and the both of us continued to talk for a while as it took my mind off of everything for a while before the both of us had decided to go to bed for the night.

It was the next day and it was the day of the Third and Final Task and after getting ready, I had eventually walked into the tent to see that Carlisle and Esme were here and I went up to them and hugged both of them and Esme spoke up, “how are you feeling?” she asked me, “could be worse but other than that, I’m alright I guess.” I told her, “are the nightmares calming down at all?” Carlisle asked me and I shook my head, “no, but there was something different about the one I had last night.” I told him, “what was it?” Esme asked, “Aro was there. At the Graveyard.” I said to them and they just looked at each other and both of them had worried looks before I spoke up, “ok now I know something is up. What is it?” I said to them, “Alice had a vision the other day. She saw Aro, Felix, Alec and Jane there at the Graveyard along with a few others. She said it wasn’t good.” Esme told me and I sighed knowing something like this would happen, “it makes sense. They found out somehow. They must have had someone watching from a distance without any of us knowing or something. That’s probably the reasoning behind all of this.” I told them as my worry grew, “can’t you withdraw or something?” Carlisle asked me and I shook my head, “no, I can’t. Mr. Crouch said so himself.” I told him and after taking about it for a few moment’s the three of us walked out along with the others and I let out a shaky sigh before Dumbledore had spoken up to everyone, “Earlier today, Professor Moody placed the TriWizard Cup deep within the Maze, only he knows it’s exact position. Now as for Mr. Diggory and Mr. Potter.” Dumbledore said and most of them cheered for the both of them before he continued, “who tied for first position, they will be first to enter the Maze Followed by Miss. Cullen, Mr. Krum and Miss. Delacour.” he said and people cheered for the three of us and after a moment, Dumbledore spoke up again, “first person to touch the Cup will be the winner. I’ve instructed the staff to patrol the perimeter that at one point a contestant would wish to withdraw from the Task, he or she need only send up red sparks with their wands. Contestants, gather around." He said before we had done what he said before we were all together before he spoke to the five of us, “in the Maze, you’ll find no Dragons or Creatures of the Deep. Instead, you’ll face something even more challenging. You see people change in the maze. Oh find the cup if you can but be very wary, you could just lose yourselves along the way.” he said to us before speaking up loud enough for the others to hear, “Champions, prepare yourselves.” he said and I walked over to Carlisle and Esme, “just be careful alright. We’ll be waiting here for you when you come back.” Esme said to me before it was time for me to go into the Maze.
