Chapter Thirty Five

ROSELLA’S P.O.V
After a while had passed, both Draco and I ended up at the Astronomy Tower as the both of us were alone together and we stood in silence for a few moments before he spoke up, “I had a good time with you tonight.” he said to me, “me too. You're not a bad dancer either.” I said to him and the both of us chuckled a little, “you’re pretty good yourself.” he said to me, “I guess those dance practices paid off.” I told him and I began to feel nervous as I felt him get closer before his hand brushed over mine before I looked at him and after a few moments had passed, the both of us suddenly kissed each other and I felt a lot of things, one of them being excitement before he rested his hands on my waist as the both of us continued to kiss before the both of us separated from the kiss and rested our foreheads together, “I enjoyed that very much.” He said to me and I smiled a little, “me too.” I told him and the both of us just looked at each other before we shared another kiss before we continued to spend some time alone together before we decided to leave and head to the Slytherin Common Room for the night. By the time the both of us made it back to the Common Room for the night and when we did, I had gone to my Dorm with a smile on my face and I let out a sigh as I laid down on the bed before seeing Pansy walk into the room before speaking up, “Ooo, what happened between you and Draco? Tell me everything.” she said to me, “we kissed.” I said to her, “how was it? Did you enjoy it?” she asked me, “bloody hell relax and yes, I loved it.” I told her, “bloody hell you’re in love with him.” she said to me, “says who?” I said to her, “Me, I mean look at you. You can’t stop smiling and your face is red and hasn’t changed since.” she said to me and I sighed a little and the both of us continued to talk about it for ages before the both of us had gotten changed for the night and after doing so, the both of us had gotten into bed for the night and I just laid there thinking about everything that had happened earlier tonight and I couldn’t stop smiling and after some time had passed, I started to get tired and eventually fell asleep later that night. When another day came around, all I could think about was what had happened between Draco and myself during the Yule Ball before I started thinking about how to get the clue from the Egg before I heard someone calling my name and saw that it was Cedric as he rushed over to me in the Library, hey, what’s up?” I asked him, “I was wondering if you’ve figured out your clue yet?” he asked me, “no I haven’t why?” I said to him, “well, since you haven't, why don’t you use it underwater.” he said to me and I furrowed my brows a little, “does it work?” I asked him and he just nodded, “I’ve already told Potter about it.” he said to me and I nodded, “alright, I’ll take your word on it.” I said to him before he walked away and I went on with my day.

Later that night, I ended up in the Girls Prefect bathroom since they were the only ones with bathtubs and once I got in, I sighed a little and did what Cedric said and dunked the egg underwater before I had done the same before a song was coming from it and I listened to it and paid attention to what it was suppose to mean before realizing that it was talking about the Black Lake. after some time had passed, I got out of the water and dried off and after doing so, I made my way back to the Common Room for the time being and went to my Dorm and thought about what the clue meant and wondered what could be in the Black Lake that we had to look for and when I noticed what time it was, I never thought how late it was before I got changed into something comfortable before getting back into bed for the night and went to sleep. The day of the Second Task finally came around and after getting ready, I left the Common Room and made my way to where the Task was going to take place and I began to wonder where Draco was before getting on the boat and by the time I made it to where the Task was taking place and I stood next to Harry and Cedric after getting something put on my Ankle and eventually, Dumbledore had spoken up to everyone, “Welcome to the Second Task. Last night, something was stolen from each of our champions. A treasure of sorts. These five treasures, one for each champion, now lie at the bottom of the Black Lake. In order to win, each champion need only find their treasure and return to the surface. Simple enough except for this, they will have One hour to do so and one hour only. After that, they’re on their own. No magic will save them. You may begin at the sound of the cannon.” Dumbledore and soon after, the cannon had gone off before Dumbledore could finish and myself along with the others dove into the water and I was glad that I was able to hold my breath for long periods of time and as soon as I got into the water, I swam for what seemed like forever before I began to hear faint singing before I followed it and in doing so, it got louder before I saw something and as I got closer, I noticed that there were people being held by their ankles by something before I realized what Dumledore was talking about before I noticed that Draco was one of them before I swam up to him before I noticed Harry and Cedric before he mentioned the time to Harry and I managed to get Draco loose from what was around his ankle before I made my way to the Surface not long after Cedric.

By the time I made it to the surface and took a deep breath, both Draco and I swam to the dock and some of the other’s helped us up before they brought us towels and we waited along with everyone else, “how are you doing?” he asked me, “I’m alright. I should be the one asking you that.” I said to him and the both of us chuckled a little and the both of us stayed close to stay warm as we waited for the other’s to come back. After some time had passed, both Ron and the young girl surfaced before swimming over and eventually, Harry shot out from the water and landed on the dock before everyone surrounded him and covered him in Towels before Dumbledore eventually got everyone’s attention, “ATTENTION.” he said and everyone had gone quiet before he continued, “the winner is, Mr. Diggory.  Who showed the unique command of the Bubble Head Charm. However, seeing as Mr. Potter would have finished first, had it not been for his determination to rescue not only Mr. Weasley but the other’s as well we’ve agreed to award him Second Place for outstanding Moral Fiber.” Dumbldore said everyone and I eventually ended up getting Third Place. After the Second Task was over, everyone left and made it back to school grounds and I kept the Towels wrapped around me as I continued to make my way to the Castle and talked with Draco the entire time. By the time we made it back to the Castle, I went straight to the Common Room for the time being and got changed into something warm for a while and after doing so, I went back down into the Common Room for the time being and sat with Draco as the both of us huddled together as the both of us were still cold and we talked with the others about everything and what had happened as they all ended up agreeing that I should have gotten second instead of Harry but I didn’t really care, I just wanted to get through this and over with. After some time had passed, everyone had gone to bed already and I was the only one in the Common Room and I sat in front of the fire thinking about everything and began to wonder if the dream had anything to do with what’s going on before I was brought out of my thought’s when I noticed Draco as he sat down next to me, “are you alright?” he asked me and I nodded, “I’m fine, I was just thinking that’s all.” I told him, “you know, I couldn’t stop thinking about the Yule Ball.” he said to me and I smiled a little, “it was nice.” I said to him, “yeah it was. I enjoyed myself.” He said to me and I looked at him, “just out of curiosity, did the kiss mean anything to you?” I asked him and he thought about it before speaking up, “yeah it did. It still does.” he said to me and I smiled a little and the both of us talked about it some more before we both agreed to take it slow for the time being before the both of us had gone to bed for the night.
