When Drix left Sarah's house, he'd never felt happier.

Reil was safe and in good hands. He'd been relieved when the guard told him they sighted her in front of a house around the area, she seemed to just be staring at the area.

He immediately knew that was where Sarah lived and where she was going to be so he called Bill who'd said he was with Sarah.

Luckily for him, he was able to get to her as fast as he could, get the keys and head to Reil.

It hurt him when he saw how stressed she looked. She was pregnant and he was supposed to be there with her.

It had come as a shock when he saw the pregnancy test stick in her room the day he searched it.

He'd just gone to search in case he saw a clue on where she could be, then he noticed it.

He'd been excited and hurt.

Then, he remembered the day Zee had come to ruin their happiness, she'd told him she wanted to tell him something.

He was going to be a father.

Again.

He winced at that thought, as he drove towards his house.

How could he have been so careless? How could he not—

He furrowed his brows when he sighted Zee in front of his house, chatting with his guards.

His legs pressed the brakes of his car, opening the door with irritation filling him as he got out of the car.

She was the cause of all that was happening to him. She was the cause five years back, and the cause even now.

She was the reason he couldn't be with Reil at the moment, picking their child's name or doing whatever things parents do.

She seemed to be so engrossed in whatever discussion she was speaking with the guard, that they both didn't notice his presence.

He sauntered towards them, stopping a few steps away, but they still didn't notice which only pricked his annoyance further.

It was only when he cleared his throat that they both flinched and turned to his direction.

Though it was dark, he noticed the color drain from the guard's skin.

“What's going on here?” He glared from the guard to her, and wondered why there was only one guard around.

“She was pleading with me to let her in, sir, but I refused, telling her to wait for your arrival.” He intertwined his fingers in front of him, bowing a little.

Zee's lips curled to a sly smile. “Hey, I've been waiting for you honey.”

Drix's jaw clenched. “What are you doing here?” He asked through gritted teeth, but she seemed unaffected.

“I wanted to talk to you about our son.” She laid more emphasis on the ‘our’.

Anger flowed through him. If it wasn't because of her, he'd be happy. He'd be like any other normal human.

“You've ruined my life already, what is it you still want?” He felt like just grabbing her and throwing her to the streets, but he held himself back.

No need creating a scene. As long as she didn't cross her boundaries.

“Angle's never felt that father's love, I want you two to go on a father-son trip.” Her smile soon turned to a smirk as she seemed satisfied with the steam pouring out of his ears.

He was still trying to get Reil back and she wanted him to be going on a stupid trip.

“What the fuck is your problem?” He growled, anger rising in him. “Do you want more money?! What?! What do you want to leave me alone?!”

She let out a chortle, then took steps forward, closing the gap between them and standing only inches from him.

“What I want—” she trailed her fingers down his shoulder, —”is to give Angle dear a little sibling.”

He'd never felt like punching a female as much as he felt like doing to that irritating smile on her face.

He grabbed her hand. “Get out.”

“Why? Don't you want to relive the moment that created our dear Angle.” It was obvious Angle was just a pawn to gain money.

Suddenly, he felt bad for the child. Angle didn't deserve all that was happening.

He also deserved a father who'd love him, but Drix knew he couldn't be that father.

He'd always be reminded of his mistake and the reason Reil wasn't with him.

But at the moment, the money-loving bitch was who he needed to think about.

“Leave before I throw your fucking ass out myself.” He growled.

She rolled her eyes, releasing her hand from his grip and taking a few steps backwards.

“It's not like there's anything special about your sex.” She scoffed, “I'll get going, but you better tell me when you're ready to take Angle out on that trip, else I'll bring him here myself.”

It was a threat. She'd made sure it came out like that.

She pivoted, then disappeared out of sight.

It was only then Drix realized the guard was still there, staring at the ground.

“Get my car in.” Drix ordered, walking into his house.

Now he needed to think about how to explain everything to Reil.

He knew he should do it by maybe giving her a call, but her phone was missing as Sarah had said, so the best was to probably try talking to her.

Now that he knew where she was, he was going to do everything in his power to get her to listen to him.

She was pregnant.

The thought made him feel happy. He loved Reil and the fact they could start a family together made him happy.

Then he thought about Angle again and guilt washed past him.

The little guy wouldn't know what a family means since he has a money-loving mother and a father who sees him as a result of a mistake he made five years ago.

Zee would obviously never let him be happy the rest of his life, and it'd possibly affect the poor boy.

He knew all the financial support wouldn't be enough, but he'd try his best.

Try his best to fulfill all his child's financial needs for the rest of his life.

And he'd ensured he's the best father to his and Reil's child.

He ran a hand through his hair. How had his life taken such turn again?
