Sarah had never been more surprised when she sighted Bill leaned against his car, as she walked towards hers.

“Bill?”

He startled as she neared him, a smile immediately curling up on his lips at her sight.

She couldn't deny that the smile sent a lightning bolt straight to her heart. Gosh, this man was hot.

He walked towards her, stopping at a comfortable gap between them.

“What're you doing here?” She hoped the happiness she felt at his sight wasn't evident in her tone.

“I just wanted to comfort you since you're probably worried about the fact Reil's missing.” He said something sad like that with a smile on his face.

It was obvious he was using the Reil situation as an excuse to talk to her.

She resisted the urge to groan at the thought of Reil being missing.

Everyone still thought she was missing and it'd already been a week. Ivy was stressed so was Sean and Drix.

Yet, she's still insisting on not being ready to go.

Sarah didn't mind sheltering her, but it was also kind of (very) difficult to lie whenever Ivy called, pleading with her to pray for Reil's safety and stuff like that.

“You okay?” Bill's words snapped her back to reality and the handsome dude in front of her, who had admitted to liking her and who everyone in church thinks is her boyfriend.

She nodded a little. “Yeah.” Forcing a smile, she stared up at him. He was way taller than she was. Way way taller. “Thanks for coming, and I'm okay. I promise.”

He smiled. “You want to cool your mind with lunch?” He sounded hesitant to ask, but asked either way and she loved his boldness, though she'd refused him tons of times, he still asked.

Hot.

She opened her mouth to reply (which would obviously have been yes), but closed it back when his phone began vibrating.

He reached for it from the pocket of his pants, and when he stared at the caller, he said, “one sec” before answering it and placing the phone close to his ear.

“Hey man,” he said to the caller and went silent for a while as he listened to whoever was on the other side.

“Actually, I'm at the Elrey company.” He said and she noticed the color appearing on his ears.

His brows furrowed in puzzlement. “Uh, yeah, she's with me.” Silence, and Sarah was confused as he was obviously talking about her.

Who was he calling that cared about her?

Reil clicked and clicked and clicked on the remote, changing from channels to channels, but nothing seemed to interest her on the tv.

So far, staying with Sarah had been comforting and helping.

Her heart still yearned for him, and she still had terrible nightmares involving him and his family, and yes she still ached for him, but the crying had reduced.

When Sarah had brought Lenny to the house for a sleepover, it'd been very awkward, especially since finding out that Sarah had told her everything.

But later, they got along, chatting and laughing and watching horror movies.

After hours of talking, they went to their respectives rooms. Lenny slept with Sarah.

The next day, they chatted some more before Lenny left, telling her to give Drix a chance. To let him explain.

She said the story was touching, but that if Drix actually loved her then there was a reason it all happened and she should give him a chance to explain.

Reil was still pondering on that. How could there be a reasonable explanation to him having a child and girlfriend.

Then she recalled Ivy and Sean. They were obviously worried and it was mean of her to just leave without contacting them.

She sighed, missing them.

How would they take the news of her pregnancy? They'd certainly be happy. They were going to have another grandchild.

She rubbed her stomach. It was still flat, but she'd been greeted by tons of nausea and vomit to know she was still pregnant.

She really needed to get to a hospital. She was risking things.

The keys shuffled sound echoed from the door, causing her to involuntarily rise to her feet.

It was obviously Sarah. She was the only one who had a spare key to the house.

The breath seized from her when she sighted Drix sauntering in.

No matter how exhausted he looked with his rough hair and his dark eyes, not so good clothes, he still looked like the hottest guy she'd ever met.

Wait, Drix?

What was he doing there? And how did he get in? What was going on?

He stared at her, holding her gaze and causing a tight feeling in her chest.

She couldn't speak and they both stood in silence, tension permeating around them, thickening the air.

She tried steadying her breath to make words form, but it snatched more when she noticed his gaze drift to her stomach.

She certainly knew her bump wasn't out yet, right? Or had it come out.

Shit.

Wait, even if it was out. He certainly wouldn't be able to see it since she was wearing an oversized shirt so it certainly wouldn't show any bump that wasn't five months due.

But why was his gaze lingering on her stomach?

Involuntarily, her hand flew to her stomach, cradling it like her life depended on protecting the unborn child.

His gaze shifted back to her, then he rushed towards her wrapping an arm around her waist, and leaning closer to claim her lips.

It had startled her, but as soon as his lips met hers, all the ache, the desire, everything she'd been wanting took over.

His lips were exploring her mouth showing nothing but love as his hand flew into her hair.

Her legs weakened by the desire pumping in her so she gripped onto his shirt for support though his grip on her waist was enough.

She'd missed this man. His kiss.

Her head was spinning with desire. She wanted more. Needed more.

She let out a moan as her hand slipped round his neck, deepening the kiss.

He took that as an invitation to get even deeper, showing her mouth things it'd never felt before.

He was a great kisser. How could that be possible when he'd claimed to never have kissed before.

Immediately, she recalled why she had left him.

Zeekle.

The kiss suddenly spoke nothing but deceit and lies. Tons of lies.

He'd never kissed. Lies.

He'd never had sex. Lies.

He didn't have a son. Lies.

Well, he hadn't denied not having a child, but that was because she never asked.

Which was because she trusted his lies about never having had sex.

He was deceitful. Terrible. A liar who had a family already.

She hated him and suddenly hated his kiss also.
