“Drix, can I tell you something?” Reil asked as soon as he leaned back from the kiss.

She loved him, even though he looked weird the way he dyed his hair light green, and wore purple sunglasses.

He shrugged, a smirk she thought looked cute, playing on his lips. “Hit me on em babe.” He said in a voice way thicker than his normal tone, but she still loved him either way.

She rubbed her bump that looked like it was seven months gone already. “I'm pregnant.” She blushed, waiting for his scream of excitement.

Instead, he furrowed his brows. “You’re what?!”

She flinched. “Why do you sound unhappy? You said you wouldn't have unprotected sex with someone you're not willing to have a family with.”

Her voice sounded so vulnerable, but she didn't care. Tears were already pouring down her cheeks on their own accord.

He took two steps backwards, his glare hard and his expression darkening. “I didn't expect you to be that dumb.” He shook his head. “That's what I say to all the girls I want on my bed.”

She gasped. “But…”

“And perhaps,” he straightened his shoulders, giving her a proud look, “I've got a family already, don't need another one.”

Zeekle and Angle appeared at each side of his, giving her a similar expression.

His hands slipped to the back of both of them, smirking at her. “So I'd advise you to get rid of the baby and never contact me again.”

“But,” the tears had taken over her voice.

The three of them turned and bagan walking down the desert.

She watched as their figure disappeared in the far distance, leaving her in tears.

She fell on her knees, as she sobbed.

“Drix!” Silence replied to her, and it all dawned on her. She was alone. Lonely.

Her hand flew to her now flat stomach. She had to take care of her child alone as Drix already had his own child to take care of.

“No!”

“I told you he was no good.” Greg's words echoed in the silence.

Why was she hearing his voice? “You should've left him when you could.”

She placed both palms on both ears to cover his words. “No!”

Her eyes jerked open. What the fuck was that dream about?

She sat up, balls of sweats rolling down her forehead. Why on earth had she had such a terrifying dream?

Reaching for her phone on the bed beside her, she turned it on and checked the time. It was one a.m.

Would she be able to fall back asleep?

The bed was more comfortable than it looked. When Sarah had first shown her the room she'd sleep in, she almost cringed.

It was small, way smaller than imagined. It was probably because she was used to sleeping in big rooms.

Sarah had two rooms that were beside each other so while Reil slept in one, Sarah slept in the other.

It had taken lots of effort and tears to fall asleep, just to wake up three hours later from a  frustrating dream.

Why did Drix have to do this to her?

She hugged her knee, sobbing silently with her head resting on her knee, and her eyes squeezed shut as they ached from the tears.

What would she do? How'd she cope if she's so broken by a heartache? It probably would've been better if he hadn't lied to her about never having sex before.

Why had he lied? It wasn't like she cared about it. Who knows, maybe he also lied about his dad's story.

Maybe he was just born a liar. And she'd fallen for his charms to end up falling for him.

Pathetic of her.

Now she was expecting a child. What should she do? Should she let him know or not?

She needed to visit a doctor. She needed to do whatever procedures pregnant people did.

But she wasn't with money, neither could she call her personal doctor.

She'd probably have to go home soon. Gosh.

A warm arm wrapped around her, immediately comforting her. “Reil.” Sarah's soft tone spoke in her ears, willing her to raise her head which she did.

She was surprised to see it was already bright. Had she fallen asleep? When did she fall asleep? Wasn't she just lost in thoughts?

Sarah's worried expression faced her. “You okay?”

She managed a nod, but couldn't release a smile though she tried.

Sarah took a seat on the bed beside her. “I'm sure sleeping here must've been uncomfortable, but I hope it wasn't too much.”

She shook her head. The bed was really comfortable, so there was no problem. The only problem was Drix.

“Why don't you take a shower and I'll make something for the both of us to eat.” Sarah's smile was filled with sympathy, and although Reil hated people's sympathy, it was kind of comforting.

She nodded, wondering why Sarah didn't have a bigger house. She had enough salary to do that, than live in some old cottage.

***
Sarah was a good cook, no doubt about that, but Reil wasn't sure if it was a result of the pregnancy or thoughts of Drix, but she didn't have any appetite.

She did eat though since Sarah had forced her to do so, claiming it wouldn't be good for the child if she deprived herself of food.

Midway through her food, the scent of it made her feel queasy.

Sarah stared at her food, eating it and oblivious of the war taking place in Reil's stomach.

The thought of the amount of food she'd eaten mixed with the scent dancing round her nose stirred her nausea.

As she reached for her spoon, her hand trembled slightly. The salty flavor on her tongue was suddenly overpowering, and her mouth began to water excessively. The room seemed to tilt, and her vision blurred at the edges.

Sarah still didn't seem to notice whatever was going on.

Her stomach churned, protesting the simple act of swallowing. The food felt like a weight in her stomach, threatening to make a hasty exit.

"Excuse me," She whispered, her voice barely audible. She pushed herself up from the chair, her movements slow and deliberate.

Sarah seemed confused at first, then her concerned expression finally registered, but Reil was already halfway to the bathroom.

As soon as she reached the bathroom, she crouched in front of the toilet, her hand grabbing the seat as her second hand reached for her stomach, cradling it.

As she began releasing all the contents in her belly, she felt Sarah hold her hair to the back, patting her back gently.

“It's okay.” She whispered while Reil just continued.

It wasn't supposed to be Sarah in the bathroom with her. It was supposed to be Drix.

He was supposed to be the one comforting her. But he was probably comforting some other girl.

Asshole.
