Reil had never felt more elated to head to the doctor's office in a hospital.

When she'd woken up that morning, Drix had driven her home where she dressed into a pink knee length a-line dress.

Then, he'd driven her to his personal hospital where whatever needed to be done had been done and they were now both sitting side by side in Doctor Sam's office.

His bright smile was enough to let her know her baby was still in her stomach.

“How has you been Mr Grayson?” He asked, his smile showing off two write teeth.

Drix nodded. “I’m good.”

“Good to know.” He picked up a paper on his desk. “And I'm also happy to let you know, Miss Sincol, that you're four weeks pregnant.”

Reil rubbed her belly a little, her body jumping in excitement.

It was true. It was finally here. She really was pregnant and she was a month pregnant.

She inhaled a sharp breath. Wow. In eight months time, she'd be having a child. Like a living soul.

It was all just dawning on her. She'd pass through pregnancy stuff, labor pain and so on.

It was going to be a scary experience. Was she strong enough to do it all? To overcome it?

Would she be a good mother? Or would the fact that she was a slut make her child feel disappointed in her?

She didn't realize her hand was trembling till Drix's hand met hers. She stared at his hand on hers and though he wasn't looking at her, the gesture caused comfort to fill her immediately.

She could do it. She wasn't sure what the outcome of it all would be but one thing was for sure, as long as she had Drix with her, she'd be able to overcome whatever came her way.

Their child would be great. She could already see it.

“How do you feel?” Drix asked as soon as she sat on his couch.

“Excited.” Which was true.

She might've been worried before, but at that moment, she was filled with glee at the thought of being a mother.

“How do you feel?” She threw his question back at him and a smile appeared on his lips.

“You wouldn't be able to imagine how happy I am at the moment.”

The sound of his doorbell filled the house. “I'll get it.” He started towards the door, checking the camera to see who it was before opening it.

Soon, he was heading to her with Cherry who had the brightest smile on.

Reil rose to her feet and Cherry threw her in her arms. “Oh sweetheart, I'm so glad you're back.”

It was one awkward moment for Reil as she wasn't sure what to do, so she just hugged back.

Cherry pulled apart from the hug, staring at her stomach. “I can't believe I'm going to be a grandma.” She chuckled, “you know, I always thought Drix would die single and I'd never see a grand child.”

Drix rolled his eyes while Reil giggled. “Well I'm happy I came to his life then.”

“Yes, so am I.” Cherry's smile widened. “It still feels unreal, but I'm very excited.”

Before Reil could reply, Drix said, “mom, is there a reason you're here?”

She rolled her eyes, “you expect me to not come greet the female who's carrying my grandchild and stole my son's heart.”

Reil chuckled. “It was pretty easy to steal his heart, all I had to do was use my charm on him.”

Cherry chuckled and they both took a seat beside each other. “Drix, do you mind making us something to eat?” She asked, earning another eye roll from him.

“I've got more things to do.”

“Oh come on, just make us something.” Reil winked at him.

He sighed in defeat. “I guess this is what I get for being such a talented chef.”

Cherry rolled her eyes while Reil chuckled.

If these were going to be her new family, she could never ask for more.

While Drix was cooking, she chatted with Cherry some more. Mostly about things Drix did when he was younger.

Then when they began eating in the dining table, Cherry had bought up the conversation on marriage and gosh, Reil could never have felt more uncomfortable.

Yes she certainly loved him enough to get married, but it was too soon. They'd just dated for about three months.

And what if that wasn't what he wanted? What if it'd make him feel pressured to bring it up.

Jeez, it really was discomforting thinking about marriage and their future.

She wanted to live the rest of her life with him, but maybe they should take things slowly.

Let them live in the present before thinking about their future.

Let her have her child first, then they can think about the next stage after that.

After the uncomfortable marriage talk, the tension was gone as soon as the discussion on the baby came next.

They talked about tons of stuff and she'd never loved her baby more than she already did, though he wasn't born yet.
