Lenny had never felt more comfortable with her legs crossed over the couch, and her back leaned against the couch.
But that comfort didn't seem to last when the doorbell to Tom's house alerted her of the arrival of someone.
She groaned, waiting a few seconds to see if Tom would come out of his room to open the door.
When he didn't come, she stood up, shambling towards the door, then opened it without bothering to check who it was as she was already certain.
People rarely came over to visit them.
Lenny didn't have many friends she could bring over, and Tom didn't like her friends (as mentioned already), so she didn't bring them over.
Tom didn't have much friends either so people rarely arrived by their doorstep.
Well, except Cassey.
“Hey.” She greeted lowly. Lenny wasn't close to Cassey so things were always awkward when they were alone together.
Cassey, as always looked pretty, with her extremely full red hair, and the excessive makeup she always had on with her manicured hands.
“Hey, is Tom at home?” She asked, seeming to also sense the awkwardness permeating around them.
She made way for her to enter. “Yeah, he's in his room. I'll go get him.”
She gently waved her hand, as she started towards his room. “I'll go get it.”
Soon, she was standing in front of Tom's door, giving it a small knock.
“Hmm.” Lenny heards him say from inside his room.
“It's me, Cassey.”
About three seconds later, the door swung open and closed when they were both in.
Lenny always wondered what they did in that room, and what'd happen to her if they ever decided to get married.
Well, of course, they'd been dating for seven years so they were probably thinking about marriage, right?
Tom was four years older than she was so yeah, he should be getting married.
And well, she already had enough money to move to a new house so whatever.

Since Drix had arrived, Sarah's house had been filled with Reil's family.Ivy had arrived an hour after Drix had left and she wouldn't stop talking about how worried she was.
She didn't need to tell anyone for them to know. Ivy's hair had obviously not been washed the whole week, her clothes reeked of sweat, her eyes were red with tons of tears, and the dark circles under her eyes spoke it all.
Sean had arrived an hour after Ivy had, because he was at another place searching for her.
Ivy had insisted on sleeping over and although Reil told her it wasn't necessary, she still didn't listen.
She'd kept on telling her how dangerous it was that she was doing all of it while she was pregnant.
The next morning, Bale had arrived with Trisha and Finn. He'd said he knew they were all overreacting and she just couldn't help getting annoyed.
Soon, all her family was around and Sarah had to make a feast for them all.
Reil would never be more grateful to Sarah for all she'd done. It was so generous of her to do that.
“When do you plan on heading home?” Ivy asked, as thdy both sat comfortably on the chairs outside Sarah's house to stare at the sun set.
“I'm not sure, but since you all know where I am, I'll leave soon.” Reil replied her, taking a sip of the milk she'd been given.
“You should head to the hospital first thing tomorrow morning.” Ivy's concern was evident in her tone.
“I will.”
There was silence for a long moment as they both just stared at the sun setting, and letting the sound of the crickets fill the silence.
Sarah had gone out few minutes back so it was just the two of them around.
“How's the pregnancy going?” Ivy's low words broke the silence.
Reil's hand flew to her stomach like it often did. “I'm coping.”
Whenever she was in a situation like that, she akways forgot about what she was pained about.
How she wished Drix wasn't cheating on her. It's unfair for their child to have to be the one to suffer for whatever happened between them.
Would she seriously feel comfortable to live with him knowing he lied to her and had a son?
She sighed at the thought. Why did this have to happen to her?
Was it a punishment for her last mistake of being a whore?
“You okay?” Ivy asked, seeming to notice the change of mood.
“Yeah, just a little tired.” Which was true. She was tired, but only because of the thoughts of Drix.
“Wanna talk about it?” Of course, Ivy wasn't buying her ‘tired’ excuse.
She shrugged a little. “There's nothing to talk about.”
There was another moment of silence. “You know, I like this Drix guy.”
She sighed.
Did Ivy know anything about Drix? What he did? How he betrayed her and lied to her?
“I think you should listen to the guy.” Ivy said.
How many people had told her that already? Maybe she should actually listen to what he had to say.
