Chapter One Hundred and Four

It was Sunday, which meant it was a day to reveal Reil's child's gender.

Sarah was happy things were going well for her friend and she was also happy things had gone well for Lenny.

Lenny had called her the previous day to  fill her in on all that'd happened with Greg and she was really happy for her friend.

Things had also been going really well for her.

She had been talking to Bill tons of times since they both started dating, and now they were both on their way to church.

He didn't go to church every Sunday with her, but he followed her once in a while and she was happy he'd picked interest in her faith.

He'd even accepted the fact she'd said she wasn't open for sex before marriage.

She loved him a lot, and yep, he proved how much he loved her also.

Cherry seemed excited about the both of them dating.

She wasn't close to Cherry before, but ever since it was announced in the Bible study that they were both dating, Cherry had become so much closer to her.

The car came to a halt in front of the church and she got down while Bill got down from the driver's seat.

She smiled at him, as he walked over to her, taking her hand in his.

“Thanks for driving me to church today.” She said.

He planted a peck on her lips. “I love seeing your face every sunday.”

She giggled. “You're supposed to come to church to have a connection with God, not to see a person's face.”

“I do want to have a connection, and I also want to see your face.”

She rolled her eyes. “Let's just go in.”

He turned to a place. “You remember? This is where you ran away from my kiss.”

She cringed as she recalled that embarrassing scene. “Please, I don't want to hear more.”

He chuckled. “I actually found it cute or else we might not be here.”

“I doubt it, we might still have been here.” She shook her head off the memory, “let's just go.”

They both headed towards the church, then Emma appeared in front of them.

“Hey Emma.” Sarah greeted and Emma smiled from her to Bill to their intertwined hands.

“Hey girl, you came with your man today.” She winked at her.

Sarah just rolled your eyes. “And I'm sure you've found your own man, else you won't look this excited.”

She smiled blushingly. “Well, I won't say I've found my man yet.”

“Gosh, you're so weird when it comes to relationships.”

“Right?”

“Hey Emma.” Bill greeted like he wanted his presence to be acknowledged.

“Hey dude, what's up with your life?” Emma asked then gave Sarah a wink.

“Let's just go in.” Sarah said before he had a chance to reply and the three of them walked into the church.

The service hadn't begun yet, so she had the chance to talk to some of her friends at church and notice them blush when Bill turned to them.

Well, it was sad for them as she already got him to herself and she wasn't going to let anyone else have him.

And the fact his gaze was continuously shifting to her obviously let them know that fact.

When the two of them were alone again, she noticed him staring at her again, then she turned to him.

“What's up? Can't get your eyes off the beauty in front of you?” She joked, then chuckled.

“Yeah, I'm just wondering how I got you to myself.” He squeezed her hand.

She smiled, and decided to change topics else her heart would burst. “So, Reil's baby's gender reveal is tomorrow. What cloth did you choose?”

“I went for the blue shirt, how ‘bout you?”

“I also went for the blue.” She smiled, “I guess I just always imagined Reil having a male child.”

“Their children will be beautiful.” He said and truthfully, she couldn't agree more.

“I'm so happy for them,” she said, “and I still find it so surprising that the Reil of almost two year back who couldn't do a thing without having sex, is now settled and would soon have a family, even before I would.”

“And I find it surprising that the Drix of almost two years who had vowed to never fall in love is soon going to have a family, even before me.” He said and the both of them laughed at that.

“There really is nothing new under the sun.” She added.

“What're you two laughing about?” Cherry's voice called from behind.

They turned to see her sauntering towards them, looking like the typical rich woman she always looked like.

“Hey Cherry.” She greeted as Cherry pulled her to a warm hug.

“How're you doing sweetheart?”

“I'm good, thanks.” It was still always awkward for her whenever Cherry acted all sweet to her.

She'd always seen Cherry as a very rich woman who attended the same church with her and at times they went to her house for Bible study.

But they never really talked till the day the woman had said they were dating.

“Hey,” Bill greeted.

“Are you guys aware of what Drix's planning on doing?” She asked and they chatted some more till the church service started and they went to the service.
