It had been a week since Reil went to her dad's place.

She had been avoiding it, because apparently whenever she went there, she had to be faced with questions on why she didn't want to take over one of his companies.

But she could no longer avoid going as she had to be at her dad's house the next evening for a family dinner.

To cool her mind off the thought, she'd decided to do whatever she did whenever she was stressed. Go to a bar with Greg.

“Thanks a lot babe, I know you had to go on a date with Doral but I really need this.” She placed the tip of the wine glass on her lips, taking a sip before dropping it on the table.

“Anytime babe, you know you're my number one.” He stretched his right hand showing her the tattoo from one million others that read ‘Reil, number one'.

She sighed. “I'm starting to actually think of my fu—”

She noticed his gaze was directed over her shoulders. Turning, she sighted two pretty girls(not as pretty as she was) blushing under Greg's gaze.

She turned back to him, rolling her eyes out of lack of energy to protest him eying girls in her presence (though it wasn't the first time and she'd done the same too).

“Why don't you go meet them?” She said, sounding as tired as she felt.

Finally, his gaze returned to her. “You sure?”

He looked like he wanted her to be sure so she just shrugged like she didn't care (which she didn't). “I'll just take a walk to cool my brain.”

“Thank you so much. Love you babe.” He was already rising to his feet, not bothering to give her a kiss.

She stood up too, walking out of the bar. Maybe a walk would cool her brain.

The sun was setting so everywhere was nice, also the fact the street was peacefully quiet, not many people passing by.

Drix knew if he was to work any further, he was probably going to turn crazy.

“Why do we have so much to do?” He had to ask when the work didn't seem to want to stop.

Bill snorted. “It's not my fault the company has to be so successful.”

He leaned back in the chair. “I need a break, working any second more will probably turn me insane.”

Bill crossed his arms over his chest. “You've been in this line for ten years, I don't get why you're not used to it.”

He glared at Bill. “I never said I wasn't used to it.”

He rose to his feet watching Bill do the same. “Continue working, I'll just go for a walk.”

Bill's forehead creased. “No way you're doing the same thing you did to me last week.”

But Drix was already headed to the door. “Come on man, do this for a friend.” He held the knob, opening the door.

“Drix, don't do this shit with me again.” He pleaded. “I still want to have a family.”

“I promise I won't be long, also I'd double your pay this month, okay?” He walked out, closing the door behind him.

He headed towards the elevator whose doors separated when he pressed the button.

He walked in watching the door close as he pressed the button to the first floor.

After a moment, the elevator dinged, the doors separating.

He walked out of it, and out of the company, ignoring the fact a bodyguard opened the door to his car.

He needed a walk not a drive.

Surprising silence followed him as he walked down the lonely road. That was so unexpected for a busy city like New York.

But the silence was what be needed at the moment to cool his already worked up brain.

The sound of heels filled the silence. He turned to see a figure walking opposite his direction which meant she was nearing him.

As he stared at her, he couldn't help being awed by her beauty.

She was a vision of icy elegance, her porcelain skin and black hair a striking contrast.

Her piercing emerald eyes seemed to gleam with a frosty intensity, as if daring anyone to get close. Her slender figure was clad in black, accentuating her sharp curves and commanding presence.

She didn't seem to notice him admiring her beauty at first as her expression possessed a hint of what he assumed to be fatigue.

Her gaze was jerked to his and she held it.

He had been caught unexpectedly so he had no idea what to do, if to look away or not which he did not.

She stopped in her steps. Her full lips curled into a sly smile, as she started towards him, the fatigue he thought he sighted before now vanished.

He was confuzzled at why she was heading towards him, so he decided to just continue walking and ignore her.

She reached for his hand before he could walk further from her which was what he wanted.

“Hey handsome, I don't think it'd be nice to walk away like that.” Her voice possessed a hint of seductiveness which he didn't want to listen to.

He stared down at her hands then back to her face. “Let go.”

She complied, her lips pulled to a smirk as she stood right in front of him, too close in fact.

She was obviously not that tall, but her heels were like a billion feet long, it made her at almost eye-level with him.

“You're hot.” She placed her right fingers on his shoulder tracing them down his hands.

That had irritated him as he grabbed her hand, cupping her wrist in his huge hand, his forehead puckered.

“I don't know anything about you, but I don't want you to do this with me ever again, it's like sexual harassment and I could get you arrested for it.”

Although he was serious, she let out a hard laughter. “Sexual harassment? Seriously?”

Again, the laughter. “How do you want to report to the cops that a girl like me sexually harassed a big and hot guy like you.”

She was right, he'd look odd. Still, he didn't like her behavior.

He let go of her hand, moving backwards. “As I said, I know nothing about you and don't advise you to act this way with strangers.”

Still irritated, he turned to head back to the company but stopped when her hand curled up to his shoulders.

“Do you think I'd have a chance if we knew each other better?” Her voice was so low, it spoke nothing but danger he must not get acquainted with.

“No.”

He continued walking, causing her hand to fall off his shoulder.

“Well, the name's Reil by the way.” She said, half-shouting as he was already walking farther from her.

Hopefully that'd be the last time he'd set his eyes on her.
