The knock from his office door caused him to jerk his head from the papers. “Come in.”
He didn't want to see anyone at the moment, he was too wrapped up with work that the presence of anyone could worsen things for him.
The door opened, closing once Lenny had walked in.
She gave him a shy smile, sauntering to stand in front of his desk. “Good morning sir.”
As the CEO, his workers barely ever got the chance to work hand in hand with him, only some privileged ones, those who'd worked in the company long enough to deserve a huge position, and Lenny was one of those lucky ones.
He furrowed his brows. “Is there a problem?”
Although they had the opportunity to have access to his office, they only came when there was a problem or he called for them.
“Actually,” she cleared her throat awkwardly, before continuing, “a man has been asking to meet with you.”
“Then direct him to Bill.” He let his tone come out stern and straightforward.
“He's causing a scene outside, demanding to meet with you.”
“Didn't you hear me?!” He slammed his palms on the desk, a loud sound erupting from it and earning a flinch from her.
“I said to direct him to Bill!” He was too stressed to deal with annoyed customers.
Also, it wasn't in his place to deal with things like that, all that mattered was that the problem was solved.
She squeezed her eyes shut, taking in a deep breath before opening it. “Alright sir.”
She didn't leave, just stood there seeming hesitant to say something he had no idea about.
“Is there a problem?” He had to ask when it didn't seem like she was planning on moving.
“Actually, you seem a little stressed lately, I thought you'd like to have a drink later to calm your mind.”
He didn't mean to, but he rolled his eyes, his gaze back to the papers. “You can leave now.”
She waited another five seconds before turning to leave.

Normally, he'd have gone home to rest after such a work-filled day, but he decided to go over to a restaurant and just cool off his mind.
A waiter came to his service, a smile planted on his lips. “Good evening sir, what can I get you?”
“A bottle of one of your best champagne.” Just a drink would be enough to take his mind off the stress of work.
The waiter left, coming a few minutes later with a bottle of champagne, filling his glass with its content.
He pulled the glass to his lips, taking a sip of it.
This was what he needed at the moment. And he knew that much.
“And look who we have here?” A familiar voice called from behind.
He turned his head, his forehead creasing at the sight of the last person he wanted to see.
He sighed, turning back to his drink. Maybe ignoring her would make her walk away.
Instead, she invited herself to the seat opposite him, both of them separated by a table.
“What do you want?” He ensured his tone came out as stern as needed to scare her away.
But, her expression was indifferent. At least she didn't possess the seductive expression she had on last time.
“I've been stressed since yesterday, long story,” not that he wanted to know, “so I need something to cool my brain.”
