Third Person's POV
As Sarah walked into Zayn's room, leaving the others outside, Muskan’s nerves were on edge. She paced restlessly, the uncertainty of what was happening inside gnawing at her. Her mind raced with questions about the conversation between Zayn and Sarah. The atmosphere had shifted noticeably when Sarah arrived, adding to her unease.
Afzal, noticing Muskan’s fidgeting, decided to break the tension with one of his characteristic jabs. "Muskan, you look like you’re about to storm into that room yourself. What's got you so worked up?" he teased, leaning casually against the wall.
Muskan shot him a sharp look. "I’m just concerned, Afzal. We don’t know what’s happening in there."
Afzal grinned, clearly enjoying the moment. "Oh, come on. Zayn’s a big boy. He can handle a little chat with his ex. Besides, you look like you're about to collapse from anticipation."
Muskan rolled her eyes, trying to ignore the flutter of anxiety in her stomach. "I’m just worried, that’s all."
Afzal chuckled, his tone light. "Worried, or maybe a little jealous? I hear people can get pretty emotional when their crush's ex shows up."
Muskan’s cheeks flushed slightly. "I’m not jealous," she insisted, though she couldn’t entirely hide her discomfort. "It's just...well, it’s complicated."
Before Afzal could reply, the door to Zayn’s room swung open. Sarah stepped out, her face a mask of calm composure, but Muskan caught a glimpse of a troubled expression before Sarah’s eyes met hers.
Afzal gave a low whistle. "Well, that was short-lived. Did they hash it all out?"
Sarah’s gaze lingered on Muskan for a moment before she shook her head and said, "I’m done in there."
Muskan nodded, sensing that Sarah wasn't up for conversation at that moment. "Would you like to grab something to eat? I could use a break."
Sarah agreed with a small smile, and the two women headed out of the hospital, leaving Afzal and Zayn’s father behind.
