Flashback

She glanced at the papers Sarah had dropped earlier. Surprise overtook her when she sighted the person on the first paper.

Drix? What was he doing there? It clearly read he was the CEO of the Rendox Heix company, but like what the fuck?

If he truly was the CEO, what the heck was she doing looking for a way to find her means of being the CEO. This was the chance of a lifetime.

She dialed his number, praying eagerly that he'd answer. She hadn't spoken to him since he'd called her, she wanted to call in the night but found out she was too busy and when she wasn't, she was too exhausted to call.

“Hello.” His cold voice spoke from the other line.

Sarah furrowed her brows mouthing ‘who is that?’

But that wasn't what Reil needed to answer at the moment.

It was her only opportunity to get her hands on her dad's company. If this was a success, she could get more than just the lowest stock making company in the group.

“Hey Drix. How's it going?” She tried making her tone come out as flirting as she could.

“Why did you call?” Although his tone had come out stern, she could detect a pinch of interest in them.

“I need a favor.” She hated how desperate her tone had come out, but at the moment she needed him.

“What are you saying?”

She let out a small sigh, ignoring Sarah's widened eyes. “Listen, please join hands with my company.”

“No.” He said without giving it a second thought.

“Why?” She felt her desperation taking over.

“My hands are full at the moment, I don't want some other company ruining my sanity.” She could sense the stress in his tone, but that wasn't the time to register that.

“Please Drix, my life depends on this. Please.” She'd never pleaded with someone this much in her life, but at the moment, she needed to swallow her pride.

“I'm sorry, but I can't.” She could sense he was going to hang up.

No. He couldn't hang up now. She needed him to agree. No, she could not lose her only chance.

“I'd do anything you ask, I promise.” She said immediately. “I promise to not flirt with you or anything,” not that her flirting was getting to him. He was obviously a hard rock, “please, just do this.”

He was silent and for a moment she thought he'd disagree till… “okay.”

“Okay?” She couldn't believe her ears.

Surely she hadn't expected him to agree so easily. Or was it easily? Would he demand a lot of her?

At the moment that wasn't what she'd think about. She'd done it. She succeeded.

End of flashback

“How did you do it?” Ivy asked in bemusement.

She shrugged a little. “Just used my business blood, and decided to do what Bale wouldn't do.”

She pulled her lips to a smirk at Bale's rage. She could literally see the steams coming out of his ears.

“Wow, I'm so proud of you.” Sean sounded exactly how he'd said he felt. “Well then it's settled.”

Bale shot his direction to his dad the same time she did. “What do you mean?” His voice trembled a little.

Sean raised a brow. “I made a promise. She got a deal with one of the biggest companies in the world. What neither of the Sincols have ever done, she deserves more than being the CEO to the sales and distribution.”

He smiled at her. “For such hard work, you will be the CEO of both sales and distribution and the production group.”

Her eyes widened in surprise.

The production company was the second to the last and was of high stocks. Which meant, she moved such heights in such short notice.

She could literally feel Bale breaking. “W-What are you saying dad?”

Sean's grin went from ear to ear. “She deserves more,” then turning to Bale, he said, “you should be happy. Our business would become a big hit soon because of your sister.”

He lifted his glass of wine. “This calls for celebration, doesn't it?”

“Congratulations.” Ivy said with a smile, lifting her glass.

“It'd be announced publicly next week, get ready CEO.” He winked at her.

She smiled, turning to Bale who was completely red in fury. “Thanks dad.” She said each word slowly to let Bale know her capability.

“Where do you know him from? You still haven't told me a thing.” Sarah's hands were crossed over her chest.

Reil shrugged, reaching for her glass of wine, pulling it to her lips and taking a sip of the sweet wine.

“Just some guy I was flirting with.”

“And you didn't tell me you knew him, made me stress my brain begging the annoying secretary to give us a deal.”

“I didn't know at the time that he was the CEO. I barely knew a thing about the company I wanted to make a deal with.” She chuckled. “How did I become so lucky?”

Sarah muttered something, but Reil didn't bother asking.

She was just happy Drix had helped her out. Though she couldn't get the thought out of her head. What would he ask in return?

If she hadn't known him better, she'd have said he would want her body (though she'd happily give for what he'd done), but he doesn't seem the type.

What do you want Drix Grayson?
