Olivia's pov:

I sit on Kent's side of the bed, reaching out and running my fingers through his hair, knowing it will wake him.

I smile as his eyes blink open and focus on me.

"Hey, gorgeous."

"That's my line."

"I'm just borrowing it. You can have it back tomorrow. Are you ready?"

"Did I fall asleep? Did you?"

"I couldn't sleep. Your baby was kicking my ribs all night."

Kent murmurs something comforting to me as he sits up, and then he presses a kiss to my mouth.

"Okay. Let's get started."

And the Kent and I stand up and get ready for the morning.

***************************

My heart breaks when I walk out of my bedroom with the puppy in my arms to see Jerome asleep on the couch.

I'm not supposed to feel bad for him, my betrayer.
But I love him, so I'll give him a chance to talk when all of this is done.

I walk over. I lean down, stroking my fingers through his hair until he, too, blinks awake.

"Hey, 'romey."

"Hey, Olivia."

"You ready to get to work?"

He frowns a little and sits up.
Behind me, I hear Kent's feet moving across the room and down the hall, intent on waking Leo and Jack.

"Work? What - what are we doing? Are we still going to Monaco -"

I quickly shake my head as I take a step back, letting him put his feet on the floor.

"Change of plans."

I look at the puppy and over at the coffee machine, anxious sudden as I feel a contraction coming on.

"Will you make me a cup of coffee? I want to take the dog out -"

"Olivia, please, we need to talk -"

"Coffee first."

I point towards the machine and turn to the back door as I grit my teeth at the pain.

And as I scurry away, I silently thank my contraction, because it's certainly making me look sterner to Jerome that I actually am.

I barely get outside before the pain hits, making me gasp.

I moan softly as I put the puppy on the grass and wait for him to do his little business, breathing sharply through the short contraction.

I assess myself quietly, remembering what I've read online.

I'm only really in trouble when I can't talk or breathe through the contractions anymore.

And while I didn't walk or breathe, instead standing quietly next to the puppy, I am pretty confident that I can get through this.

I cheer for the puppy as he finishes up. I don't pick him up, and he cheerfully gambols at my side as I go back into the house.

"Good morning, Olivia. And good morning, Lil Kent!"
Jack says, cheerfully.

"We're not calling him that."
Kent shouts angrily as he comes into the kitchen.

Leo laughs, hearing the name for the first time.

"Then what are we calling him?"
Jack asks, holding back a laugh.
