“And that's how I got him to sign the deal.” She placed the tip of the cigarette she held between her index and middle finger, in her mouth, inhaling it and puffing out a large amount of smoke after removing the cigarette from her mouth.

She'd just finished downloading the entire thing that'd happened, to Greg who listened silently.

“Wow, that's some fucking good news.” His deep voice spoke, a smile plastered on his lips.

He wrapped his tattoo filled hand round her waist, staring intensely at her with those dark blue eyes of his.

She pulled her lips to a flirting smile. “I'm so happy I can finally act like a Sincol.”

He leaned closer, planting a small peck on her lips. “Since you're so happy, I'd guess this is the right time to say what I said before.”

She had on a puzzled expression, slowly inhaling from the cigarette and puffing out the smoke. “What's up?” Her voice was low and gruffy.

“Do you love me?” His was even more hoarse than hers.

“Of course, why?”

He placed his second hand on her cheek, cupping it. “Then sweetheart, let's get married.”

She couldn't resist rolling her eyes. Why was he bringing the conversation again?

She stood up from the bed so his hands were forced to slide off her.

Then turning to him, she pulled her brows in a frown. “Why are you bringing the impossible up? I told you I can't get married to you so don't ask again.”

He let out a groan, shutting his eyes for a second then staring at her, frustration blooming from them.

“What's so wrong with that?” He stood up, standing right in front of her, too close in fact.

If she wasn't in heels, she'd have been intimidated by his six foot figure. Luckily, the heels brought them to eye level.

“Everything Greg, everything.” She kept on a blank expression, ensuring her tone was straight forwards.

“I love you and you feel the same way, then let's go further in that.” She could feel the annoyance bursting in him.

She inhaled from her cigarette, dropping her hand to her sides. “Listen Greg,” the smoke came out of her mouth with each word, hitting his face but he stood unaffected.

“As much as I love you, you know the type of person I am.” Her tone was cold like she intended. “I'm a girl of fun, and you just happen to be one of the people available for fun.”

She held his gaze, ignoring the hurt she sighted in it. How had he gotten so deep in the relationship? It had just been two years, could he have really fallen too deep?

“Don't ruin our relationship with marriage talks Greg, because it would never happen.” She laid more emphasis on the last four words.

Turning, she strode out of the hotel room, her heels the only sound being heard.

She hoped he'd never talk about it again, because although Greg was her best boyfriend, she'd never take it to marriage.

She wanted to get married to the person she loved, not to act like Bale.

“Okay, so I want to be sure you're aware of what we're doing with the Rendox.” Sarah said, pacing into her office with papers in her hand.

Reil just shrugged, her gaze on her phone. There was a guy she'd met at a bar the previous day and he was sending her texts.

Her type of fun.

“Reil!” Sarah snapped her out of her dreamworld.

She turned her direction to her, staring at her with disinterest.

Sarah just rolled her eyes. “This is an opportunity of a lifetime, we mustn't joke with it.”

“Drix's already decided to join hands with us so…”

“But he could easily go back on his words.” Sarah cut her off, dropping the papers on the desk, then crossing her arms over her chest.

“Reil, do you think he'd want to work with someone who doesn't know what she's doing business on?” She raised an eyebrow.

Reil was surprised at herself.

Sarah was right. She had no idea what she was joining hands with Drix on. She just wanted them to make a contract.

Sarah sighed, shaking her head. “As for the sales and distribution,” she started, “Rendox company would sell our products in their company which would boost our stocks.

“And as for the production company, we'd supply materials to the Rendox which would be improved before returned to us as new and improved quality products.”

Reil was truly awed.

Was this how the business industry worked? She had no idea.

“And what's their gain?” She asked, interest bubbling in her.

“Their gain…” Sarah continued, “is thirty five percent of the profit made on any goods sold in any of those two companies goes straight to the Rendox Heix company.”

“Thirty five? That's so small.”

Sarah stared at her like she was brainless. “No, it's a lot. You seriously have no idea about business, do you?” She shook her head. “How did you make it past university when you studied business management?”

Reil snorted, feigning offense. “I guess the lectures drooled at my beauty and couldn't help making me pass.”

Sarah just rolled her eyes. “Well, now that you know what you'd be doing, I think it's time to sign the contract.”

Reil pulled her brows in askance. “Contract? What contract?”

Another tired sigh followed by a shake of the head. “You need to sign a contract so neither company would go back on the deal.”

“And what would happen if either company does?” She asked, interest still flowing in her.

“That'd be accompanied by a huge loss for the company.” She dropped her hands.

“Loss?”

She nodded. “The contract specifically states that if either company backs out once their signature's on that paper, forty percentage of that company's stock is given as a compensation for bridging the contract.”

“And the forty percentage, is that a lot?”

Sarah shook her head again, making Reil feel bee-brained. “Try imagine forty percent of a billion dollars, you're done for then.”

She nodded. “Yeah, you're right.”

“So… you ready to sign the contract?”

She wasn't stupid to refuse such a great opportunity. Her dad would practically eat her if she did and Bale… oh Bale would have the most satisfied expression on.

“Yeah, I am.”

Sarah smiled. “I'll get the contract from the Rendox’s secretary when I'm back from Church. Bye then.”

She nodded, waving a hand of dismissal before getting back to the man she was texting.
