It came as a surprise when i woke up on the day of my birthday to my father standing near my closet pulling out my clothing and laying them on my bed
"f-father? What's wrong why are you-"
He gave me a look that immediately shut me up and he grabbed a pair of my boots and put them next to my bed. He was picking out an outfit for me... why would he do that he normally wasn't bothered with my clothing or my birthday.
"Get dressed banquette at 4 will run into the night"
I looked over at my clock seeing I slept till 1 and got out of bed. father stood there for a few good seconds staring at my body as I was only wearing a short black sleep dress and some socks, I stared right back realizing he was only wearing some black dress pants and the man may look tall and thin, but he had clearly not let his body slip. His hair was pulled back in a ponytail which showed off his jaw and he looked half asleep probably having only just woken up himself
Much like last time he grabbed me by the back of my neck. I flinched my hands grabbing his upper arms to keep myself from falling down. His other hand went to my waist to support me. He stared down at me. He pulled me closer and looked down at me, his features softening slightly. At that moment mother walked in seemingly sober.
"Hurry up you two get showered and ready child"
Father immediately let me go and walked out without another word
i got in the shower and made myself a bit presentable at least i put on the dress father had chosen for me and walked out my room towards the kitchen hungry for something but not knowing what
I walked into the kitchen and saw father standing at the sink pouring himself a drink and judging from the smell it was quite a strong one as well. He turned around and looked at me for a second then just turning back to his drink.
That afternoon me,draco and both our parents loaded into two cars. Draco and I wanting to stay together decided it was a fantastic idea to go with my parents in the car. Father drove over the roads like we where all cats with 9 lives and an extra pair of pants.while in the car me and draco made a game out of choosing two cars to race and seeing which ones would make it to the next road sign first.
We parked in the driveway of a mansion the gravel under the wheels of the car making a gruffly sound as the two cars came to a stop and we stepped out.we looked at the mansion infront of us.
"so what is this place exactly?"
Draco asked sounding utterly confused
"It's the zabini manor"
Narcissa replied to her son and on second glance it did have the style of miss zabini and her son blaise zabini. I had spoken to him before and he seemed a very introverted but nice boy.
"And why are we here?"
I asked finally finding the bravery to speak up
"Your birthday..."
Father replied straightfaced and bluntly. I stared at him trying to see if I just imagined it or if it was really happening
"Your 16 today so I arranged a party with...all the pureblood kids your age...nott,zabini,Parkinson, etcetera"
Draco and I exchanged a few glances. I walked to father and looked up at him he was looking at the mansion and avoiding eye contact but a slight smile was tugging at his lips. I did the bravest thing I've ever done and full hugged him wrapping my arms around him no matter what he thought of it
He pushed against my shoulders and I let go
"Thank you so much...I really appreciate it dad thank you"
We walked in and a few people where already there the zabini' house elf called oli welcomed us in and took our coats the house was utterly beautiful inside with gold and green details in every corner and high ceilings with trims and curtains pinned to the ceiling like spiderwebs
Blaise spotted us and walked over
"Hey delphini! Happy birthday girl I've missed seeing your bright face"
"Thank you blaise I've missed you too"
As the party went on into the evening a lot of teens my age with their parents arrived
Theodore nott,Pansy Parkinson,Lorenzo Berkshire,hannah Abbott and so many others arrived with their parents
The parents seemed to make it their mission to become as drunk as possible and ignore whatever the teens where doing in the other room
We had a whole ballroom to ourselves and most of us where just 15 or 16 some where 17 and 18 so they had taken a lot of booze and weed to the party and most of us where pretty buzzed at 8 PM we had music playing and people where dancing and having fun ignoring the parents in the other room next to us
Somewhere around 10 PM Theodore walked up to me
"delphini! Happy birthday princess how's it feel??"
"Weird. Very bizarre to think I'm actually 16 now"
"Yeah I know the feeling. Hey wanna do something a bit more fun? How that your older and all"
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a little bag with a whitish powder in it. I stepped back in shock remembering the shit I'd gone through the last time I lowered my guard to drugs
"I-I no theo I cant"
What's wrong princess"
"I don't wanna get addicted or anything"
He stepped forward and put a hand on my shoulder and guided me to the bathroom. We sat down on the floor in the beautiful black tile bathroom and he turned to me
"Your not gonna get addicted from a little bit of coke delphini maybe if you do it more then once or you do it a lot but a little bit wont do anything"
"okay fine but just a little okay"
He nodded and before I knew it both of us where shouting and laughing in the middle of the party completely out of our minds on booze and cocaine
Somewhere around 2 AM the parents came in one by one collecting their children and trying to get them either home or in a spare bedroom in the house. I was fortunate enough that my parents had gone home earlier and miss zabini had let me stay the night
The next morning I woke up feeling like a truck had ridden over my body and crushed my organs I looked beside me to see theodore half naked next to men u freaked out and lifted the covers to discover my bottom half still covered and I was still wearing my bra
Relieved knowing I hadnt gone and done something stupid I shook Theodore awake
"Wake up crackhead its like 1 PM already"
The parents came to get us later that same day and took us home. Draco had apparently also been adamant about not going home last night and had ended up on a sofa somewhere
