The day of the yule ball arrived and I felt the nervousness rise as I took a small box out the bottom of my sock drawer opening it and checking in the ring inside it was a sliver band with a blue diamond on it the diamond was encaged by the deathly hallows symbol
I had spend days and nights drawing and sketching exactly how I wanted the ring to look and I thought and rethought my decision and the money and the logicality of everything I was planning
This night as the Yule ball starts and the champions do they're dance with their partner and the music is just right I will kneel down on one knee and grab Luna's hand and I will ask her to be my love forever if she will accompany me through this live and the ones after that
I heard a creak of the door and quickly closed the box and put it back under my socks in the drawer
6:30 pm
The whole of Gryffindor tower turned into a makeup studio as girls set all their products on tables, chairs and window ledges ginny and hermione where doing their hair in the corner as harry and Draco where trying to figure out how eyeliner worked
I had been smart with my make up decision and commissioned Sirius to help me and he was more than happy to help me he treated my curls and made them all look like single coil curls all perfect and pretty then he started on braiding and pinning my hair and two buns with curls hanging down on either side he did my make up with pretty purple eyeshadow and dark red lipstick to look like blood on my lips something that by now was my signature look
It took both Sirius and harry to pull me into my black and purple ballgown and tighten the corset on my body and it looked so amazing as I looked ta myself in the mirror I got tears in my eyes
"Sirius...its its ....just amazing I have never felt so pretty"
He squeezed my shoulders and kissed my cheek like a proud farther something I've never felt before and god did it make me emotional I turned to him and hugged him so tight he squealed a little
"thanks dad..."
I whispered and this opened Sirius's floodgates he hugged me even tighter and just chuckled
"no problem love"
Harry had left the room to give us a moment and I showed Sirius the ring explaining I was going to propose to luna and he was more than supportive of it
8:00 pm
We lined up at the door to the great hall there was slow dance music coming from within intertwined with the excited voices of students waiting for the champions
The ring box was stuffed away in a pocket in my dress and I held Luna's hand so tight and couldn't stop smiling and giggling with her
The doors opened and we walked in the music was so much louder now but still absolutely beautiful I saw Remus and Sirius dressed in beautiful suits and Sirius had a stag pin on his blazer harry had the same on because harry wanted the feel as if his parents where there to him dance with the love of his life
As we came to the end of the dance my stomach clenched with nerves and when I reached the middle of the dancefloor I stopped luna and kneeled down the other champions stopped and everyone gasped and some of our friends cheered
I began talking
"luna lovegood the love of my life will you make me the happiest person in the world and stand beside me through our life as we go through every up and down as a couple"
She already began nodding and I said with tears in my eyes
"will you marry me?"
She started crying a little and nodded frantically
"yes! 100 times yes!"
I slid the ring on her finger and kissed her hand before standing up and hugging her tightly as people clapped and cheered we shared a long and amazing kiss Sirius and Remus walked to us as we parted and they congratulated us
The rest of the night was more than amazing as we danced with our friends and then going to the after party in the Slytherin common room normally these where only for Slytherin but because of the occasion and people wanting to bring their dates
Harry and I where quickly drunk on fire whisky and vodka and as we stumbled to the Gryffindor tower held up by Draco and luna who where also tipsy but not as much we laughed and for a moment everything felt right
Me and luna stumbled into my dorm and she pulled me towards the bed pulling at my dress and I let her slip it off as I did the same to hers
She kissed my thigh and my stomach I kissed her neck and her hand and we where soon completely consumed in each other
The perfect night with my perfect girl
