Oye oye,
This isn't a chapter, but I just want to thank everyone who's still reading my books. We're almost at 20k for SFTD and 40k for IMRVM, which is so fun.
Now that summer's winding down, we're rolling into fall—my favorite season. Can't wait. Less work, more pumpkin spice. Fun fact though: I absolutely HATE pumpkin spice lattes. Argh, don't get the hype.
But fall also means hockey season.
Ever listen to a song and suddenly you can smell and feel what you did the first time you heard it? It's like one of the best feelings ever. I'm super nostalgic, so I live for that.
Anyway, whether it's for the start of the season or Luke's glow-up—I don't even know anymore—and after a lot of requests, here it is.
OFF THE BOARDS
Oh yes, a Luke Hughes book! I know I've been talking about it for a bit now, and I've been writing it in my free time, but...well, it turns out I wrote a whole story. Oops.
Honestly, I just wanted to give you a heads up so you can save it, but I won't be posting it until I'm done with SFTD. I want to focus on one story at a time.
I have to admit, I'm really into this one—even more than my series with Jack. I've tried out a new writing style that's more raw, dirty, and cold, but still from the main character's POV.
Let's say, the first chapter will drop by the end of September.
And with the cover, you probably guessed it—it's about a figure skater at UMich, starring the 2022-23 UMich hockey roster.
Here's a little glimpse of it:
SYDNEY is a figure skater who's all about that Olympic dream. She's got tunnel vision when it comes to her goals-no partying, no boys, just ice and grit. But if there's one thing she can't stand, it's the cocky hockey players who think they own the rink. Especially Luke Hughes, the campus golden boy who acts like he's too cool to care about anything that doesn't involve a puck.
LUKE's the type of guy who gets whatever he wants-girls, attention, a free pass to do whatever the hell he feels like. He's tall, hot as hell, and so confident it's annoying. But he's also carrying a load of pressure no one knows about, and he's damn good at hiding it. Everyone thinks he's the guy with no worries, but the truth is, he's cracking under the weight of living up to his brothers' NHL legacy.
That's why Sydney hates him.
They're supposed to hate each other, but the tension between them is so thick you could cut it with a skate blade. And once that tension snaps, all bets are off. It's dirty, it's raw, and it's nothing like either of them expected. They can't keep their hands off each other, but when the dust settles, they're both left wondering if this is just a fling or something that's gonna fuck up everything they've worked for.
And that's pretty much it.
Much love, xxx
