"Ugh! I can't believe you fucking said that shit!" Jake exclaimed as he got inside of the car and slammed the door.

Johnnie rolled his eyes and got in the car too, sitting next to Jake. He looked at him and sighed.

"Jake, it was a joke."
He said in a serious tone, but you could hear a hint of annoyance in his voice. He knew that Jake was just trying to get a reaction out of him, but it was starting to get on his nerves

"No it wasn't!" Jake exclaimed back as he started the car up. He wasn't getting the social cues of this situation and it was frustrating him.

Johnnie sighed again, rubbing his temples. He knew that Jake was being stubborn and that arguing with him would only make things worse. "Yes, it was a joke. Why are you getting so worked up about it?"

He looked at Jake, trying to remain calm but his patience was starting to wear thin.

"Because it's not a fucking joke, Johnnie!" Jake yelled back as he recklessly backed up, rolling off the curb and onto the road.

Johnnie gripped the door handle as Jake backed up recklessly, his heart racing. He looked at Jake with a mix of annoyance and concern.

"Jake, you need to calm down. You're going to get us killed!"He yelled back, trying to get through to him. He knew that Jake was impulsive and reckless, but this was taking it to a whole new level.

"Oh shut up, Johnnie!" Jake sneered as he was driving, thinking in his head. Remembering just 10 minutes prior Johnnie jokingly said that Jake has a crush on him in front of everyone at the small get together.

They usually joke and jokingly flirt with each other but this.. this was different for Jake.

Johnnie huffed in annoyance, crossing his arms over his chest. He knew that Jake was still upset about the joke he made earlier, but he didn't understand why it was bothering him so much.

He looked out the window, trying to ignore Jake's attitude. He couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt, wondering if he had gone too far with the joke.

Johnnie's annoyance turned into frustration as he continued to ignore Jake's attitude. He couldn't take it anymore.

"Goddamnit, Jake! You're acting like a child!"He yelled, his voice raising as he turned to face Jake.

Jake scoffed softly, keeping his focus on the road as the words hit his heart. "No, I'm not!"

Johnnie's eyes narrowed, his frustration growing with each passing moment.
"Yes, you are! You're throwing a tantrum over a stupid joke!"

He said, his voice still raised. He couldn't understand why Jake was taking this so personally.

Jake felt his heart pained more, to him it was more than a joke. He just kept his eyes to the road as Johnnie continued to yell and cuss at him.

Johnnie could see the hurt in Jake's eyes, but he was too angry to notice."You're being fucking ridiculous, Jake! Just let it go!"

He said, his words harsh and unfiltered. He was tired of Jake's attitude.

Johnnie's frustration boiled over and he couldn't hold back any longer.

"You're a goddamn idiot, Jake!"

He yelled, his words laced with anger and frustration. He couldn't believe that Jake was taking this so personally and not seeing reason.
